Great dinner. Make sure to be starving as the amount of food is impossible to finish. The patio is beautiful
The room and furniture was quite old and not beautiful. The owner mainly interacted with french guests and pretty much ignored the rest. I could not get cash from the bank as it did not except my card. I had to pay in cash and when I asked if I could pay in euro the owner wanted to charge me an extra of 15EUR. After some negotiating he went down to 10EUR on top of the exchange rate.
Breakfast was fair overall but the pancakes were very greasy.
Dark, claustrophobic, not allowed on roof terrace. Some staff surly. Bathroom flooded after we took a shower. When we told the cleaner she looked at us as if we were mentally deficient and asked why we did not lift up the drain cover and remove the ball of tissue. Silly us!
Good location just about 10 minutes walk from the main square, but tucked away in a small and quiet side alley. My room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Decoration is rather opulent, bordering on kitsch. Good and generous breakfast. Overall okay, but with a few annoyances, and slightly overpriced IMO.
The walls of the room don't seem to provide any noise isolation, you hear everything that happens in the riad as if it were directly by the bed. It was virtually impossible to control the TV, as the remote was not sending the correct codes. After a lot of trial and error, I found at least a button that would switch channels one by one (ie, do what CH+ should). And about 500 clicks later, I found the first english-speaking channel (BBC world) and stuck with it.
We had here the very best meal of our whole holidays in Morocco, delicious but a bit too generous. The decoration of the riad is also really worth the stay.
It was great experience to stay in riad for first time. Staff is not speaking english, but it was possible to communicate with them in other ways :) good vibes there. It was fun.
All was good!!!:)
