Incredibly beautiful location and beautiful rooms
We loved the lake view from our room and the large comfortable rooms full of every amenity. The breakfast was by far the best I had in Europe during our stay. The walk around the lake is very pleasant.
Restaurant was a bit pricey. A couple of the saunas were accessible only if you were without clothing. I'm not fond of public nudity much. The close proximity of the other resorts caught me off guard.
more well-mannered customers in an excellent hotel
The noise of children and lack of education
This hotel is in a 100 year old building that can only be described as elegant. The workmanship of the building itself is almost reason enough to stay. The setting, on top of a mountain with a breathtaking view is incredible. The staff, is educated and perceptive to the needs of the guest.
The Wine Steward is a bit of con man.
The people, service, desing, and the place where it is, just fabulous...
The food was average. I mean normal menu, the breakfast fantastic... but I told this to the reception and they told me, that they are currently waiting for new chef...
Excellent staff, perfect room, very good food.
All was OK>
The Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras offers world-class services, amenities, and accommodations on an alpine lake high in the High Tatras area of Slovakia. Famed as an ideal destination for the most discerning, it is a landmark property that is part of the village of Strbske Pleso, a picturesque destination in its own right. Many of the surrounding mountain peaks are within miles of the premises, as well as the best ski lifts and national parks. Guests are half of an hour from Tatra National Park, the Kasprowy Wierch Ski Lift, the Wielka Krokiew Ski Jump, the Zakopane Aqua Park, and more.
Yet, a visitor may just as easily turn to the amenities and services on the premises to meet all of their needs during a stay. There is the Zion Spa with an indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi and spa services. There is a modern fitness center, as well as a player’s lounge with billiard, games, and chess. Walks and boat rides on the lake are just steps away, and many outdoor activities are available all year, including hot air balloon rides, ski passes and more. A stay also includes transfer services, free bicycle rentals, a concierge, business services, Wi-Fi and gourmet dining options, among other benefits.
All of the rooms feature lake or valley views and include spacious and beautifully decorated interiors with sitting areas, a work desk, luxury linens and toiletries in the private baths, and some have balconies or terraces. All have entertainment systems and windows that open to allow the wonderful breezes inside.
When the goal is premium services and a luxurious setting surrounded by stunning scenery, the Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras is ideal.
