Summary of reviews
Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's excellent location, making it convenient for walking to local attractions and Penn State facilities. Many also highlighted the friendly and helpful staff, with several positive mentions of accommodating service at the front desk and from housekeeping. Room size was generally appreciated, especially in larger suites, though some guests felt the rooms were dated or mismatched. Cleanliness received mixed feedback, with some guests noting clean and inviting spaces while others mentioned musty smells or insufficient cleaning frequency. The lack of breakfast and some maintenance issues, such as noisy air conditioning and uncomfortable beds, were common complaints. Overall, the location and service stood out as the hotel's strongest points.AI-generated from customer reviews

Pros (+) Good location. In the middle of downtown and walking distance to all Penn State facilities.
Cons (-) They should off a breakfast or at least a breakfast discount.
Pros (+) The hotel was in a perfect location to visit Penn State Campus. The restaurant located inside, Mad Mex, was very good and service was great. Manager Dee was very helpful and extremely accommodating. The beverage station in the lobby was a great touch and perk for us! The value of the room was well worth the money spent. It was an enjoyable stay and I would definitely stay there again on our next t...

Pros (+) I loved the simple gesture of providing everyone in our party with a bottle of cold water upon check-in. Little low cost thing but much better than the hotel gouging us $4.00 per in our room. This of course wouldn't have meant anything without a clean room but everything we expected of the room was on point. Definitely will stay there again
Pros (+) Location was very good, walking distance to downtown, walking distance to Free White Bus to get to campus and Bryce Jordan Center
Cons (-) I expected lower prices
Pros (+) Staff was incredibly friendly.
Cons (-) Coffee in the lobby was horrid. Toilet paper felt cheap.
Pros (+) Very close to campus and town. Easy walking distance to everything. Easy parking and friendly staff.
Cons (-) the havoc unit is loud - had to turn up the TV to be heard above it. Unit works well - room nice and cool, but just loud....
Pros (+) Location where you can walk to shops and restaurants
Cons (-) Small rooms
Cons (-) There were barking dogs on our floor. We do not stay in pet friendly hotels for this very reason. The fact that it was NOT clearly advertised to be pet friendly up front caused us to waste time and money on a day w a 15hour drive..we ended up doing in one day. we were reimbursed for half the room rate...better than no refund at all. The days inn staff were understanding
Pros (+) The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and very professional. The adjacent Mad Mex is better than the average hotel restaurant, and you can't beat the location if you want to be on campus in about two minutes (on foot).
Cons (-) Parking's a bit pricey, but it's a godsend in a busy town where parking's at a premium.
