I love this hotel. I stay every year. Excellent location with amazing views of the lake. Great food.
The wi-fi could be better. In the morning and day it is very slow and sometimes not working.
Very good location, so friendly staff. Thank you! I will be back!
- Location and the view are pretty good - Breakfast is good
- Staff is unfriendly, very unfriendly - they were really irritated by us asking some basic questions about the properly (or at least to non-Czech people). Actually, the hotel itself is not foreigner-friendly. Very little staff speaks at least some English or German. (ok, it's very subjective) - Very high price for the stuff you get (compared to western Europe prices). E.g. gym has only 4 machines (and that's it) and you have to pay additionally for sauna or for a bathrobe (not quite 4 star hotel). - The beach and the lake looks nice on the pictures, in fact the beach is full of duck excrement (not so friendly for the babies) and the water is super muddy. - Very noisy when a train passes by (the railroad is very close) - Restaurant offers more like Italian/typical cuisine whereas, of course, Czech fans like me would expect more Czech dishes (actually, Stary Splavy and the surroundings are not the place at all for Czech cuisine, surprisingly) Conclusion: super overpriced place, not worth the money for value. Disclaimer: I'm a big fan of Czech Republic, and have been travelling to dozens of places all over the country, but never encountered such disrespectful attitude (both in the hotel and the surrounding places)
Indoor and outdoor swimming pool plus small sand beach. Many free sport activities such as badminton, table tennis, mini golf, tennis, paddle boats, bicycles and more. Daily events and activities for children.
Well appointed right on the lake, with a little sandy beach. There was a family of friendly swans and ducks. The hotel has an outdoor heated pool and there is lot to do for families. The food was very nice and breakfast was great, lot of variety to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Hard to locate the hotel, no direction from the main road. When we were shown to our room, it was like stepping into a sauna. A small room overlooking a car park and full of blaring sun, NO air condition or ceiling fan, in a resort catering for summer season rather surprising. However the management was helpful to give us an alternative accommodation, a larger room (for disable people) and in the shady side of the hotel. The hotel is little isolated so there is nothing in the walking distance.
