Pros: By far, the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere. The room was over two floors, cottage style, with a beautiful balcony and the most amazing views of the Piiton mountains. Set right on the coastline with a clean quiet beach. 360 degree views amazing!! You can snorkel right from the moment you enter the sea with amazing fish everywhere. If your looking for luxury with a view, this is the place to be. Waters ports are available. The hotel grounds are set over a large space. The beach restaurant was really good

Pros: The stay at Sugar Beach, Viceroy resort was exceptional, far beyond our expectations! From the very first minute we were met with the most friendly attitude. We were upgraded to a bigger property, just below the Petit Piton. 24h butler service was very well organised, amazing beach with all the facilities you can imagine. Delicious breakfast and any meals we tried. Will definitely go back!

Cons: I felt the food was mediocre at best. And hugely over priced for the quality. I might give it one more chance. But it would need to have substantially improved to consider it a regular haunt.

Cons: The Great Room was disappointing in that some of the food was mediocre, the menu was very limited and the prices exorbitant. This is the one area the resort needs to improve.

Pros: Beautiful gardens, plants and lily ponds, breathtaking views, woodland walks leading to stunning views of the Pitons, attractive, slightly quirky, interiors, studio with hot plunge pool and bed in the eaves with amazing views and visiting hummingbirds and finches; friendly staff, excellent breakfasts with choice of fresh exotic juices like tamarind, grapefruit, star fruit and sour orange, shuttle to very pretty white sand Sugar Beach, close to vibrant little town of Soufrière with good choice of restaurants, bars, live bands. We particularly enjoyed the Hummingbird Restaurant and Hotel Chocolat, which is a 5 minute walk from Ladera.

Pros: Just because the resort is set on a beautiful beach they can get away with extortionate prices. The beach is pretty much the only great thing about this resort.
Cons: I understand that Caribbean islands are an expensive destination and I have no issue with that - however if you’re being charged north of 800usd a night you would expect at least something from the hotel. Rooms are really dated and need uplift in a lot of aspects (good views though). On the evening of the arrival there was so called ‘manager’s bbq dinner party’ with no a la carte options in the whole resort whatsoever. Being forced to eat a buffet dinner in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic did not set a relaxing tone for our vacation (the hotel is very far away from any other options). All food that we had in Chastanet was below average - 80usd for breakfast for two that gave me upset stomach for the whole day. We ate all of our dinner meals in Jade Mountain which was top notch. I hope that staff picks up on a lot of similar reviews regarding lack of cleanliness and food.

Cons: Bed was uncomfortable. The room was hot - we knew we were getting no A/C, but it was still unbearably hot to sleep in. Not a good nights sleep among 3 nights. Also, 2 restaurants were great. The "treehouse" was a rip off, bad food, but also expensive. Poor service. What else does a restaurant exist for?

Cons: When you pay USD 2,000 a night for a room, you expect an exclusive experience throughout. The beach fills with day-trippers at about 11 am and by 1 pm, you have to leave the beach. There are close to 100 people wondering around the beach, laying out their towels next to your chaise lounge, eating box lunches and making much noise. Management says they can’t do anything, but still, they sell them refreshments, rent them chairs, towels and umbrellas and snorkeling gear. Jade Mountain has become a money machine - everything is outrageously priced and there is little peace throughout the day. I was there just 2 years ago and it was a very different experience.
