The location was very convenient for seeing sights of Sofia, the staff friendly, breakfast very good, everything in the room worked properly to include Air Conditioner. Good Internet connection. Building has character, appears to have been built in late 1800s, remodeled twice with last one in 1998.
It is close to the street car and you do hear it in the room,did not bother me that much but might a light sleeper. Does share a entrance with a strip club, but not aggressively advertised and can't imagine being a problem, except for a real prude. Bathroom while fully adequate, sort of small.
Older style hotel, renovated a while ago, and pleasant. Good sized room, slightly better than average breakfast with room. Room was very clean, and the staff were excellent. Hotel is 2 blocks from central Metro station "Serdika."
Hotel is close to center of town, but one block into a slightly dodgy area with a few strip clubs and gambling bars. There is a strip bar in the basement with signs in the main lobby of the hotel. It's all done rather tastefully, but may not be a place where families will be 100% happy.
