Guests consistently praised the hotel's excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and enjoyable breakfast options. The swimming pool was also frequently mentioned as a positive feature. However, several guests expressed disappointment with the cleanliness of rooms and some facilities, noting issues such as dirty linens and tired decor. While the atmosphere and amenities were appreciated by many, there were recurring concerns about the need for updates and better attention to detail in housekeeping. Overall, the positives of the location, service, breakfast, and pool stood out most.

Pros (+) The rooms were clean and practical. The swimming pool was warm, but there was no jacuzzi. The hotel in general was traditional.
Cons (-) We booked this very last minute as we were already in Shaftesbury and needed somewhere urgently. I felt the rate was a bit expensive for the facilities. However it was in line with other hotels in the area.
