Stunning view, a good nights sleep, breakfast was good, very easy to park,.
This establishment was built to accommodate the disabled during the Olympic games. To sell this "Hotel"!! as anything more than this is totally inaccurate. No effort has been made to adapt the rooms to those of us that are expecting a conventional hotel stay. This hotel really should take the trouble to at least adapt some of the rooms for the use of the non disabled. Although our room was sold to us as a double ,it is obvious that it is a single for a disabled person. One bedside table and light, low light switches and sockets, low wash hand basin with a bathroom shelf for toiletries so small that one of us was forced t keep toiletries in the toiletry bag. There was no comfort in the room and unfortunately had smell of a hospital. The hotel overall was rather shabby in places with throws over most of the soft furnishings but most worrying of all was the disgraceful trip hazard as your entered the lift. The carpet on the floor of the lift was risen and curled back at the entrance and was very dangerous, all it would require would be some glue to hold it down! We were particularly shocked at this as it accommodates the disabled. We would definitely never return or recommend.
Rooms were large and spacious. Facility was very nice. It is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Sestriere. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The staff went out of their way to provide excellent service. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant was very nice as well. The dinner was very good with a large selection of antipasti.
The dinner was simple but good, with a small salad buffet, starter (pasta) and main course was meat (always some wild meat to choose). The hotel is in a quiet area of Sestriere, with nice views (no buildings in front) and a big balcony. Staff was nice and had good English. The room was spacious, which makes sense considering that the hotel is designed for disabled people.
The breakfast was bad quality. Despite there was heating, the isolation is not so good because the rooms have big windows, so it might get colder during the night.
Excellent location with large room and great comfort
