Pros: Super friendly host. He helped us with restaurants, what to see and do in Selçuk, etc. He even took us to the bus station even though we didn't ask for it and were planning on walking there. The garden and pool are lovely and create a relaxing atmosphere. I loved the fact that the host saved so many animals. In the hotel you will probably meet some cats, a dog and tortoises. Good location and breakfast. Nice room.
Cons: We had a little balcony but a chair to sit would be nice. At the time we couldn't pay with cc.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hospitality! It was perfect location. Breakfast was excellent. The pool was lovely. Best place to stay in Selçuk! We even extended our stay an extra day. Thank you for everything.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Many thanks to Ilker and Selma for wonderful hospitality! It was perfect location, just 5 minutes walk from railway station, nice breakfast and lovely garden and pool and pets. Ilker show us everything around and gave good tips for food, historical places. Visit to Efes in early morning, Yoncakoy beach and Shirince village is a must. Best place to stay in Selcuk.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The best possible care. Such a warm welcome and lovely staff. Would definitely come back.
Cons: The beds weren’t the most comfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Hosts very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He speaks fluent English and she speaks fluent French. Beautiful old Turkish rugs throughout. The pool was lovely.
Cons: Light-blocking curtain could have been a darker color to better block the light. We think the air conditioner might have turned itself off during the night - not sure about this.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional location. Clean, lovely local hotel. Private car park. The owner speaks excellent english. Very nice home made breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean place, good Turkish breakfast, super duper friendly owner. He was very informative and did help us alot in planning our visit to Ephesus and Pamukkale.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel, decorated with taste. Excellent welcome, the owners are doing everything to make our stay comfortable, helpful in planning visits. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious as well as the bathroom. There is a lovely garden surrounded by a stonewall where a copious and delicious breakfast is served. The pool is well maintained and water is clear, it is nice to have a swim after a hot day of visiting the ruins of Ephesus. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to nice restaurants, St John Cathedral and the Fortress. My room had a lovely view of the garden, the swimming pool and the Fortress. A place I would surely return to.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our group of friends had the most amazing hospitality at this little hotel. The host is personable and his hard working staff keeps the place spotless. The showers were large. Oversized towels and clean linens. A beautiful view of the fortress from some rooms and the patio. Comfortable shared seating areas inside and a beautiful patio and pool for breakfast or evening relaxation. The host shared great information about the local area. I wish we had booked two nights here and skipped the stay in Izmir the night before.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the property is a genuine person and really helpful. He told us how to get to all the important landmarks, assisted in exchanging our foreign currency and even told us what to do at our next stops on a trip through Turkey. Authentic person who really cares that his guest are safe, and have a good travelling experience.
Cons: The property is a bit concealed off the main road, but if you have Google maps it shouldn't be a problem to find.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations. Even closer to the little downtown area with lots of little shops and restaurants. The staff were super nice and helpful, with good tips on getting around. The rooms were modest but very decent and the roof top restaurant has an excellent view of the castle. The small pool and cold beer were the perfect way to relax after walking through Ephesus.

Pros: I was very impressed with the service and our hosts were very friendly to us.
Cons: Everything was great here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful and friendly manager
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful owner. The covered terrace for breakfast was very nice. The upgrade to a larger room was worth it. Very close to the sights in town and to the bus station to take you to Ephesus.
Cons: The small pool doesn't have heated water or a surface skimmer to remove debris. So we did not use it. Perhaps in the heat of the summer the pool could be refreshing without heated water, but they need to have a manual pool skimmer so you can get rid of the leaves, etc floating on the surface of the water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms, the breakfast and the hosts.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastically helpful - they provided us with bottles of cold water as we arrived, were able to recommend everything we needed around the area, even did our laundry for us (for a nominal fee). They were very friendly and welcoming, absolutely would stay there again.

Pros: excellent service. Friendly staff. Thank you , Emre for your extra care and support
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel and the staff were fantastic. They could not have done more to ensure our short stay was the best it could be. Lovely breakfast too.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We took the night bus to Selçuk, so we arrived very early (at 6 am) and the hotel gave us a room few time after our arrival, without extra costs. They also helped us with transports to Efeso and helped us booking bus tickets for the next day. Room was clean. Breakfast was fine (cheese, ham, orange, strawberries, tomato, cucumber, fresh bread, cake, omelete, jam, tea, coffee..) Walking distance from city center and main attractions.
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved this small hotel! The room was large, clean and comfortable. The tiny pool was perfect for the hot afternoons -- refreshing! The folks who ran the place were helpful and friendly. My daughter and I enjoyed a glass of wine one evening in the open air restaurant -- nice view. Breakfasts were tasty. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: At night we got a little street noise until maybe 10:00pm-- tractors coming back from fields, children enjoying the cool air. It didn't bother us too much, though.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is really nice. The managers are really kind and are always willing to help you and give you the best advices. An special mention to the driver that brought us to the Ephesus. He was like a professional guide with us. Very recommended place
Cons: Everything is perfect.

Pros: An completly over-rated hotel - so disappointed when we arrived very nice view from the restaurant but not from the rooms and so many bees in the swimming pool that we could not enjoy it Same comment for the restaurant

We visited for my husbands birthday and our stay fulfilled everything we could possibly imagine. The team at the hotel were delightful and very happy to personalise our experience which made our stay memorable. The ambiance in the restaurant and the high quality dishes really made our experience. The staff clearly enjoy working together which creates a wonderful vibe. Thank you for looking after us so well. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous property, like staying in an old private village. One of the most beautiful pools I’ve ever seen. Traditional Turkish hospitality and wonderful food. Wish we had stayed longer!
Cons: Disappointed with how touristy the town itself is, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, renovated old Greek/Turkish house situated on top of the village with an amazing view. Staff was really friendly and the owner came to our touble for a little chat which we really appreciated. Couldn't have asked for more or better in this lovely village.
Cons: The road to the hotel from down the village is narrow and bumpy. But hey, that adventure is also part of the experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a work of art. From the rooms to the pool, cottages, tower, outside terrace, inside restaurant. Everything is made with eye for detail and respect for the history of the house & the environment.... Bravo for the owner and his ideas. Also the food (breakfast ánd dinner) and every single person working there were great. Thank you for everything, we’ll be back for sure!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Arrived late at night - opened the patio doors in the morning to find a view of the vines growing in front of us. Lovely pool. Very helpful and friendly manager and staff. Superb food. In addition, we hadn't realised that the hotel is also a 5-minute walk from Camlik train station for Denizli.
Cons: There's nothing not to like.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great relaxing location. Quiet and lovely pool area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Lovely clean rooms with views over the vineyards. Really nice breakfast too. Bed was comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Restaurant was quite expensive.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Main building, where the restaurant is, is stunning. Rooms are in newer buildings, not as beautiful but nice and comfortable and quiet, next to the pool, with views of the vineyards and rolling hills. Restaurant is great, wine excellent.
Cons: Great location if you're traveling by car, which we were, not quite as good if you're using public transportation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gourmet Restaurant. Excellent wine. Beautiful situation. Lovely pool area. Friendly and efficient reception. Car/taxi absolutely necessary if travelling independently.
Cons: Occasional smell of sewage in bathroom.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Super gorgeous place, food a little bit pricey but the setting is stunning
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and terrific accommodation. Recommend the dinner......it was amazing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: That s really a great hidden place. Very comfortable, very nice surroundings. Optimal to plan a visit to Ephessos and afterwards relax in the pool. Optimal for families and couples.
Cons: Breakfast could be more diverse, and yes, the restaurant is a bit expensive.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location with amenities was perfect and so environmental for relaxation.
Cons: The place is enrich with fruit and the area as well has good sounds of bounties but, yet the hotel management don't offer this as complementary to their guests unless asked for. For example, the red grape, peach, fig...etc are founded and may offered as welcoming to the guests upon their arrival...Also, they may offering guests a short brief with tour into the winery ....In addition, to tasting the wine other than asking for charges to get tasted The only thing was surprising me is the breakfast as I never had this minimal selections and low quality criteria ever in Turkey...It needs a lot of improvement They are coming late after reminder to clean the room and apology they don't have baby bed although confirmed at the booking time!!
Stonehouse By Ipek - Selçuk - Building

9,3 Excellent (57 reviews)
R2 012+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Stonehouse By Ipek in Selcuk, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Ephesus Ruins and Umut Arabul Private Ethnografical Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, helpful hosts, beautiful location, beautiful room and overall farm with many nice details. Farm animals are a bonus for us especially for our son. Way to have quiet, calm vacation, away from crowds. Pool is another plus at a farm.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Animals walking about, birds singing songs, trees and flowers all around... Not many people around, making you feel special... Room decorated with all kinds of antiques, fireplace, and best of all - a stone whirlpool... Many interesting things to spend time exploring on the hotel grounds... Simplistic but natural breakfast that could improve, but is more than OK
Cons: The only problem with the place was the poor plumbing and water pressure. It literally takes about two hours to fill the whirlpool to half height - so you really need to plan ahead! It is next to impossible to adjust the water temperature in the shower - it is so sensitive that you either get cold or hot. The bathroom feels like it was added to the room later and wasn’t in the original plans (which could indeed be the case as we are in a village) - it is really tight and water gets sprayed everywhere making the entire floor wet.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was out of this world! And so generous. The children loved all the animals including the peacock and the pony. The place has a lot of charm and is filled with the owner's character.
Cons: The green light that stayed on in the garden all night! And its name is "By Ipek" - very confusing to see it listed as Byipek (one word) and as a stonehouse as well!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The stone house and it's garden are extremely beautiful. There's a lot of animals. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Location was nice too.
Cons: Unfortunately, our kids were too small to get through the night with peacocks singing from time to times on our roof.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room decorated with luxurious, old world and eclectic items/furniture. It was comfortable and felt like a movie set - the recessed, stone-walled hot tub in the middle of the room was an awesome touch. The grounds are immaculate - lovely paths around the complex, clean and relaxing outdoor pool, chic decorations throughout. Breakfast was fantastic - enormous quantity of decadent local cuisine, attentively served by hotel staff. The town center is a 5 minute walk away and is absolutely charming. I would highly recommend staying here and in the future I would love to return for a longer visit!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: swimming pool cats
Cons: nothing

Cons: The fitness and spa center was small with not enough capacity for the size of the complex.
7,9 Good
Pros: perfect breakfast! efes beer! visit of Ephesus and surprisingly people can talk English in Kusadasi and Izmir much better than Istanbul.
Cons: it was my first time all-inclusive hotel stay and it is recommended for the family with kids.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is absolutely so good it was one of my favorite holiday and I want to go also next year perfect hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The resort is almost brand new. Amazing beach, amazing facilities and unlimited food all over the resort. Fantastic for kids. Plus, Kushadasi town centre is about 20 minutes by cab (€10 each way). That's where all the nightlife, restaurants and shopping is at. Would've been great if the resort had shuttle service to and from Kusadasi town centre every few hours.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I like: close to the beach Huge beach, lot of space Great food Very clean!!! Very friendly staff
Cons: Ice cream available only 12 to 17 o'clock. If you come late for lunch or dinner ,some extra food make by shef wasn't avaible- sad. Hotel promises top up 1.5 l bottles of water every day- they didn't.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Food. Location. Service. Personnel. Activities. Cleanness. Comfort. Animation. We arrived at the hotel at 9 am, and despite early arrival we got an possibility to have breakfast and got a room at appr. 11 am. with no charge. It was very good.
Cons: We were with a boy of 11. When he wanted to play water polo it appeared that only adults were playing. When he wanted to play darts there was no place for him (20 adults wanted to play). There were no group activities for his age.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is clean and comfortable. The hotel is perfect for the families
Cons: The service in the restaurant is not good. You should find knife and spoon for your own use
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All, especially the main pool area and the garden, very clean, not crowded. The food. Excellent staff. Rapid and competent intervention of medical help (yes, we tested that, infortunately). We paid with revolut card, very easy. Recomend.
Cons: Some of the family rooms are not so quiet because the music in activity pool area is loud, nap time included (14.00-17.00). (Not the hotel's fault) - Some of the guests - from romania too :( - very noisy and ... it seems very hungry, with big big mountains of food on their plates.
6,7 Good
Pros: Kids entertainment is great, every night they have something different. Food in hotel is great. Hotel pools are clean and maintained. Beach sand is exceptionally nice, with mix of golden and black particles that shine beautifully on sun.
Cons: Repetitive artificial song of birds all day long on the pool is really annoying. Hotel staff hygiene sometimes looks questionable, reception staff was "annoyed" all the time, sometimes not helpful at all. Beach is cleaned every morning but still there is a lot of plastic both on beach and in shore. Water is not clear, but murky and kids don't like it. Hotel is in middle of nowhere so nothing to do for adults in the evening, you need to get taxi/car to be able to get to nearby towns.

Pros: The hotel owner is very friendly. Nice hotel resto and good breakfast. I am very thankful to Mr. Junait, I left my purse outside their hotel and they manage to find it. Thank you so much, appreciate your help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to train station and close to restaurant, store, centre city and bus station by walking in 5 minutes chill out... It surrounded with the attractions area by walk... it's ok The room is clean, nice, comfortable and quiet at night time... Me and my friend sleep very well The owner and staff are very helpful, kind and politely, they speak in english very well, nice and talkative
Cons: No elevator but that is ok, because the owner help us to lift the heavy luggage for us to our room and bring it back to downstairs when we check out
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and everyone in town are extremely helpful. They don't seem in it "for the money" though they have to make a living. Great! breakfast!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is a small, no-frills hotel affording great value in a central location in Selcuk. It's walking distance from the train station and to the main area of the town with all the food that entails. I think this place is a small family run affair - the owner was super helpful, offering a handy map and cheatsheet with timings of trains, buses to Ephesus, even the weekend markets. Also with great food recommendations (the Old House restaurant around the corner). The breakfast was pretty great as well.
Cons: Any criticism of the hotel should be taken with consideration of the excellent value the hotel provides. The rooms are a little on the smaller side, and you'll be taking the stairs up and down to your rooms. If you're fine with this, there really isn't much to worry about. The bathrooms could have been a little better - the wall mount for the shower was broken.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice clean property, friendly and helpful staff, great communal area and nice breakfast, free parking. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Wifi was slow and patchy
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything on hotel is nice. Everybody helpfull...thanks to all. I hope someday we can visit selcuk again.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean sea, sunny weather, temperature is 28-35 degree which is very good allows sun bathing without disturbing warm and humid. Close to Kusadasi city center, we visited Kusadasi Dilek national park , very nice place inside the forest and near the sea with lots of bays, by car 30 mins. from hotel. Open buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enough space on seaside for sunbeds.
Cons: Actually these are not big problems but will be better if can be fixed by hotel management; Sea is a little but cold but nothing to do about this :) We hired 2 different rooms, in both rooms, in Showers-WC, ventilation system is not working, this not create big problem but will be better if proper ventilation is provided. In rooms bigger LCD TV can be added. For Breakfast, lunch and dinner drinks can be served by Waiters to increase the comfort. Billiard and room safe has extra fee, in all inclusive hotel these should be free of charge.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The rooms are clean..stuff is proffessional..
Cons: hotel is very old..Hotel has been built about 30 years ago....value is higher because of service and ..beer, vodka and soft drinks which are included in all inclusive concept are unquality..
7,9 Good
Pros: Silent pool was really silent and calm, in general nice facilities, nice location, wide beach line, unfortunately it was a bit windy and the sea was wavy, ohh almost forgot to mention gozleme was excellent
Cons: I didn't like the cleanliness of the room when we arrived, and we requested an additional deep clean, was provided immediately
7,9 Good
Pros: facilities and entertainment: very good food: average room: average beach: sandy and good
Cons: -sea: very shallow sea ( good for families with children though), a bit wavy and cold water -reception: firstly they refused to accept me to hotel (single man not allowed!), later thanks God they accepted -safe deposit: is subject to fee, and although i paid, it was so old that it did not work (they failed to repair it)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great, the beach is wonderful and the gardens also! The food was delicious and there was a surprise every evening! Thank you for everything!
Cons: The two ladies on the reception could be more polite with the guests and to explain more carefully, but above all it doesn't matter!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so helpful and friendly.
Cons: The beach had dirty water because of seaweed from the sea. We couldn't swim in the sea and that was disappointing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The water activity. The verity of kids activities. The kids buffet. The night shows. The spa. The daily food plans for all the guests. The kids club. My family my complain from the poor room cleaning, but my room was cleaned perfectly.
Cons: There was no kettle in the room but they provided me with one after I kept asking for it. There was no iron in the room and even after asking for it for 10 times they still didn't give me one. Few of the stuff were rude. On the other hand the restaurant stuff were the best.
7,6 Good
Pros: The beach area is very nice here. The two bedroom suites were perfect for our needs, and there don't appear to be many of those within this area of Turkey that we could find.
Cons: The food is not very good at Richmond Ephesus. It is your typical international cuisine buffet that they make for 500+ guests each meal, so the quality suffers. It was without a doubt the worst part of the resort. We ended up driving into Selcuk for most of our meals, only eating the buffet when the timing suited us. If your intent is to explore ruins and the surrounding area, this isn't the place for you. If I go back I'll stay at a hotel within Selcuk for this purpose. If you intend to spend the majority of your time on the beach, then this will work. But why would you go to Selcuk to do that?
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Quite bad wifi, not always available and slow.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very enjoyable stay, wide variety of food and drinks. There are also stalls where fresh food is quickly prepared on request. The location is great for relaxation and sport activities. Swimming pool and beach areas were well maintained every day.
Cons: The first room I stayed in had an issue with noisy AC, and there was smell from pipes in bathroom. The issue was sorted out the next day and my new room was perfect, so actually I appreciated how the hotel dealt with the issue.

7,5 Good
Pros: Cute little hotel with free breakfast and a nice pool near Ephesus
Cons: Location is hard to manage - very little to do around the hotel
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is really a gem of a boutique hotel situated close to the centre of town. The hotel has been decorated with style and beauty and is well maintained. The room was a bit small (double bed) and next time I would choose the twin beds. The pool is lovely and the breakfast was yummy. The staff were kind and attentive. Every corner seems to have another object to look at an appreciate. Really special.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was nice and one of the staff was welcoming and helpful
Cons: Internet did not work, the shower was broken, the steam room did not work “this year” and when going to the pool we felt as if we were intruding on a village party (the owners invited quite a few friends in the very small pool area) + their dog barked outside all night

6,8 Good
Pros: very good animation team, confort and food, nice activities for the kids.
Cons: they are not really 5 stars services
5,2 Okay
Cons: Pools were very cold. Food was average at best
7,6 Good
Pros: Everything was wonderful starting with food, entertainment, atmosphere, music and the hotel staff. It was an excellent experience and we spent a very nice holidays!
6,8 Good
Pros: We booked this hotel because it is first and foremost for kids. They have the freedom of grand buffets three times a day with alternatives for fixed menus at separate restaurants that one needs to book and alcohol is included everywhere. There are a lot of activities at the pools, waterslide and beach with other activities guided by super enthusiastic staff. The hotel is self-contained with few reasons to explore nearby other than to go to Ephesus. It's really like a summer camp and, again, only for families like ours, with young kids.
Cons: The food was so excellent, particularly the breads, fresh-baked throughout the day, that it was surprising that the fish restaurant served three kinds of fake Japanese fish paste molded into fake crab, fake scallops etc. I suppose it fools some people, but it is a dip in standards. There are a lot of rules and timings that one needs to be aware of from the outset, or you can miss booking a place at a restaurant, changing your beach towels, or using some of the facilities. You need to check carefully and plan.
7,6 Good
Pros: THe fact that it was all inclusive and the beautifull setting
Cons:
6,4 Good
Pros:
Cons: Was too noisy with the entertainment programs. Mostly suited for families with kids.
5,6 Okay
Pros: Almost all of the staff were very nice [see below]
Cons: Out of control, manic entertainment staff who felt obliged to fill every silence with noise and childish games. Also complete lack of any international brands of alcohol, and wine that was an insult to Turkey

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet location, up the hill away from the main busy part of town, but very close to walk to. Short walk to bus station for dolmus to Ephesus, Sirince. Swallows nesting on outside of building :) Lovely view of sunset from terrace. We left a phone on the bus from the airport and the manager was very helpful and tried to phone the bus company (we did get the phone back when we waved the bus down on its returm journey!). Selcuk is a lovely place - look up to see the storks perched on the street lamps!
Cons: Private bathroom is a wet room and shower is right next to toilet which gets wet - we just made sure we took the toilet roll out of the room and put the seat up while we were showering and it was fine. Wifi signal in room not great, but worked well in reception area where there are comfy sofas.
