My room was not in the nice new hotel pictured in their advertisement. My room was in the back across the street in a really old structure. The room looked like it had last been updated in the 70s. The carpet was nasty and stained along with outdated bathroom and kitchenette. Very pricey for an old outdated hotel. Will not stay at again.
First, the property was right on the prom as promised , with very easy beach access. They have free parking and it’s an easy 3 block walk to the downtown strip.
The room is dated to say the least, the sink toilet area is puke green and tiny. The bed is springy and not comfortable at all. No air conditioning or heat. The light above the table didn’t work. The fireplace didn’t work. There are no outlets within 6 feet of the bed or table .... and the “partial ocean view” was from the 1 working window, when standing, and smashing your face into the screen. And I will report - I would have been fine with alllll of that except the service was terrible. We arrived Thursday, stayed Friday and Saturday night with a checkout Sunday morning. That’s 4 days, 3 nights. 950$ They gave us 2 bath towels. And a half of a roll of toilet paper. And on Friday, our request for housekeeping was ignored. So Saturday - we went to the front desk and told them - the room is empty as we are spending the day in town. Please refresh the bed, towels, and toiletries. And when we arrived back to the room — nothing had been done. So we called the front desk and asked what’s what - and she literally said “housekeeping knock and knocked and you didn’t answer so there is a trash bag full of towels and clean bedding here in the front desk — you’ll have to come get it” I was absolutely flabbergasted So I went to the front desk and tried to CALMLY complain the lady about everything at this point - who basically says - if we would have called Maintenance on Friday they would have fixed our light and fireplace - and then she just got up, and took the trash bag full of linens and tossed it at my feet and walked away. I made 150 excuses for her, maybe it’s covid that they are short staffed, or can’t enter the room, maybe it’s hotel policy, maybe they are afraid of my extremely friendly puppy etc etc But Later that evening - as we were headed to the beach. Housekeeping knocked on my neighbors door to deliver fresh towels and hand soap. Imagine my surprise!!!!!’ So ... all in all - hi tide is hi priced, and terrible.
Location, location, location. Also very quiet hotel. A lot of families with kids were staying there but you couldn’t hear any noise.
Really dated. The owner should complete some upgrades - time to spend some money to make this property look more modern . In room 211 the bathroom door did not lock, the bathtub was chipped really bad.
The staff were wonderful. Great hotel. Room was great and big.
A little out dated. But still a very clean and great room
I liked the location. And how close it was to the stores.
The room was so outdated definitely not worth $160 a night when the whole inside doesn’t look like it’s been updated since the 70’s
