The food at the restaurant was exceptional as well as the staff
WiFi was a bit intermittent
The receptionist was helpful from start to finish, she sorted my 2nd night that I asked for on arrival, showed me the room and made sure I was happy, offered the garage for my bike and when I needed to check out early she informed me she would be in just before I was due to leave so I could pay and leave on time. Dodnt catch her name but hope the hotel reas this and send my regards. The room is nice size and amazing views.
Bit away from main town but made it peaceful
Modern room, perfect stay, nice staff and good food.
Everything was perfect
The room we finally received a room on the second floor that was clean and well appointed. The room gave on the backside and was quiet.
We were first assigned a room on the ground floor with a muff smell, as the room must not have been aired for several days. The winter tried to made a late comeback at the end of April with temperatures falling dramatically. It was unpleasantly cold in the room. The diner was of poor quality with a deer goulash that was overcooked with an extremely sweet sauce. Breakfast was OK, except that one single slice of bacon with the fried eggs is greedy. A penetrante smell of frying oil and kitchen smell is omnipresent. There is no complimentary bottle of water in the room. Often in German hotels there is a piece chocolate or a small pack of Haribo bears on the bed. There is no such attention at the Hirschen. We asked to check out at 11.00 AM, but rather harshly we were informed that the owner has to give the green light and that the accounts must be settled at 10.00 AM. We did not feel welcome at this place !!!
We enjoyed our stay at Hirschen. Welcoming staff that were always helpful. The room was just probably fully renovated because it was modern and cozy. Nice breakfast and dinner as well with traditional meals. We took very good advantage of the ski pass provided. thank you for that. Also, the shower was perhaps one of the highlights, great flow of warm water.
Not to complain, we had a great time and the room was very clean and modern. Perhaps for improvement we would prefer to have a double bed rather than 2 single beds connected.
