The King bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean. The towel supply was ample and in very good condition. I appreciate the hotel's efforts to keep everything sanitized in light of COVID-19. The AC worked well and was not too noisy. The breakfast was better than most hotels we have frequented. They not only had a bagged breakfast (muffin, granola bar, orange or apple), you could get hot coffee, yogurt, bagels, milk, and cereal.
There was no sugar or creamer for the coffee maker in the room. Just a suggestion - the parking lot needs to be power washed. We found numerous pills (some looked like prescription pills as opposed to vitamins) scattered in the parking lot when we came out in the morning.
Front desk staff was friendly and polite. Location was good as a rest stop for our trip.
No one wore a face mask as our country is at its height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees and guests were not required to wear them even though it has been proven to effectively prevent the spread of the virus. The hotel provides a statement about how they clean and disinfect the rooms but that isn’t enough to protect the guests and staff.
Location was great for traveling. Easy interstate access.
I PAID FOR A ROOM AT THE LA QUINTA INN & SUITES IN SAVANNAH, GA.... IN WHICH I DID NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL IN SAVANNAH, GA. ON JULY 3RD 2020.... Not only was that night paid for, I had also paid for three nights prior to that, as well. Me, and my wife was out, and about with family that lives within 30-45 minutes from Savannah. Therefore I, nor did my wife, we didn't realize how bad, or how scary the area that we had a hotel at was or is. ON THE LAST DAY, WHENEVER THE ROOM WAS DUE FOR CHECK-OUT,... My husband had went down to the lobby to pay for that night (July 3rd), just because we were there, and that we needed to pay, because it was already a bit past the 11 o'clock check-out time. He was told that the room rate would be $81.26, after taxes (which is outrageous for this particular hotel/ hotel room, being as how this price is the price for the room WITHOUT a refrigerator, the fridge is NOT included, unless I was to pay an additional amount). I was charged (WITHOUT KNOWING, OR WITHOUT HAVING ANY KNOWLEDGE OF, OR WITHOUT ANY NOTICE FROM THE FRONT DESK STAFF THAT SWIPPED MY DEBIT CARD, UPON BOOKING THE ROOM), $94.97. At the time my wife was on the phone with the bank, that's when she asked the bank representative: "how much was just taken out of our bank account", while we were going through the bank statements, this is when I realized that I had been overcharged, without any notice. The transaction that was made was ONLY suppose to be for $81.26. The transaction that was actually taking out of my account/ off of my debit card was in the amount of $94.97. As I was in the lobby paying for the hotel room, my wife was packing up a few things that was inside of the room, so that we could go ahead, and depart the La Quinta in Savannah, Ga. that day... which was the 3rd. of July, 2020.
Comfortable bed. Grab and go breakfast
Shower head was broke
