Pros: Great hotel, fantastic facilities, very kind staff. A place to remember
Cons: Pool bar is closed in March while it’s 20 degrees
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything! Our stay was perfect (except one small incident), and very reasonable for the quality of the hotel and services. Our room was spacious, clean, with a nice view of the marina. Overall I would highly recommend.
Cons: In the Quarterdeck bar, we were very unhappy with one incident. We looked at the specialty gin menu, and decided to order one each. We put the menu down, then the waitress came over and took our order. When we went to pay, we were charged a much higher rate. When I complained, I was told that unless the customer specifically says they are ordering from the special gin menu, they are charged the usual rate for a double gin with a tonic mixer. This adds up to be much more expensive. I asked about the ingredients, and the amounts of gin and tonic are identical. The only difference is the glass it's served in and the garnish. There was no offer to change the price, although I was asked if there was anything else we wanted. This is very, very bad practice. It's clear the staff are told to ring in the order this way unless instructed specifically otherwise. A poor way to make a few more euros, in an otherwise exceptional hotel where staff go out of their way to please. I'm not sure why any customer would choose to pay more for the same drink, so why not just charge the lower price, or at least ask the customer for clarification?

Pros: We were upgraded to a superior suite free of charge as we were planning our wedding for the trip. The staff were really friendly and helpful and there was a a large range of breakfast items. All in all an amazing stay!
Cons: The only thing I can fault really is the eggs were slightly dry... but that's literally the only thing!
8,5 Excellent
Pros: For the price I paid, our room was extremely large and well located. Europe is notorious for their small hotel rooms, but ours had two bedrooms (with two twin size beds in each), a small kitchenette, a small sitting/table area, and a balcony. We had a room with a view of Bay Street shopping and it was quite the view at night for people watching. One of the bedrooms had a floor to ceiling window that I loved as it brought in a lot of natural lighting. The bathrooms have the standard complementary toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc) as well as unique options such as a sanitary bag, shaving kits, shoe shine, and shower cap. I thought this was a nice touch because some of these things can be very useful. Reception can schedule tourist trips for you. We got in at 11 pm on a Friday, went down to reception at 8:20 am Saturday, and were able to purchase tickets to the blue lagoon with the shuttle picking us up from the hotel at 9:15! It was nice that although last minute, the hotel was able to fit us in.
Cons: The biggest downside to this hotel is the unreal amount they charge for wifi. It is 2017, most hotels offer free wifi, if not a discounted rate for a single device or something. We were also not informed about the wifi or the process upon check in, so when trying to connect it was quite the surprise. You can pay daily for one device with an additional charge per additional device connected to the wifi. The website did not explain this clearly, so upon check out the price I had to pay was shocking. Not to mention the TERRIBLE connection it provided. If you have data and would like your phone to run at a normal speed, be smart and don't waste money on the wifi. All around bad experience with the wifi. As we were waiting for our cab back to the airport, another group checking out was also shocked about the balance due for their internet usage and I heard reception explaining the process again. This could be avoided by informing customers upon check in or offering free wifi like most 21st century hotels. But I see both of those options being "bad for business" and not likely to happen.

7,0 Good
Pros: Great hotel, convenient location
Cons: The wi-fi login with Facebook
4,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: Possibly the worst hotel in St. Julians. Air conditioning did not work in room making it miserable during summer months. No working TV in hotel room and WiFi was only available in reception. But the worst part was the staff. They took about 20 minutes on average to do check ins. and require a written voucher upon checking in and a 50 Euro deposit for your room key. Also, they inform you must give your key to them upon leaving the hotel each time but since they take about 20 mins to check people in the line is almost always out the door. It's not even worth it to stay in line just to give them your key. You'd probably waste your whole vacation time doing so. Pay more money and stay at actual hotel that keep their air conditiongins working and take 5 mins to do check ins. This hotel really ruined my experience in Malta. Will never stay or recommend to anyone ever. I never leave reviews but I am going out of my way to make sure no one waste their time there again.

7,5 Good
Pros: Good facilities, pool, gym etc bed is big and comfy and room is clean, location is okay only a 10 min walk into the action.
Cons: Staff could have been friendlier and more attentive. The entire side of the hotel we were staying on was a building site with work starting around 10am so no good if you want a real lie in. Some of the facilities were also unavailable to use due to the works going on. All in all a good stay.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: It was a building site. Jackhammers working on two sides of hotel. Scaffolding being erected on another side. Could not use pool or pool area or other outside area because of noise and dust. Noise also prevented using leisure area.

Pros: I love the room, very spacious, overlooking the Mediterranean sea. I love to hear the water splashing on the shore, its very relaxing. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean. The spa is a dream. The hotel is ten mins walk to town.
Cons: The gym is small as my son is gym fanatic.
7,0 Good
Cons: Hotel was being renovated, which we were not aware of, outdoor pool not in use.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great. The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable & clean. My husband was running the marathon so got up v early & the staff were great about providing food for his early breakfast. Malta is fantastic - was surprised but loved it.
Cons: The hotel - and St Julian's in general is a bit far from Valletta. It really depends what you're looking for - if it's relaxation by the pool, this would be great. We were more interested in sightseeing & the distance from Valletta, the ferry in Sliema etc meant a lot of cabs (we were only there for 3 nights). Hotel was nice, but i felt more 4 star than 5 star. off season, so quite a lot of renovation etc - the breakfast room looked onto scaffold instead of a lovely pool. small niggles, TV in our room didn't work, man came to fix it but couldn't & it was left with me to report to the desk the next day (i didn't bother). A towel had a large hole in it. expected better for the money which was similar to the other 5 stars. None of above stopped us having a lovely time
6,2 Good
Cons: Food menu was horrible and they tried to charge me for mini bar items upon check-out. I didn't even know there was a mini bar. .
6,0 Good
Pros: -Frendly staff. -Good santekhnik instalation (Ideal Standart). -Nice indoor pool with warm water
Cons: -Nothing for little kids. -Old furniture, old doors. The kettle in the photo is not for a five-star hotel. -There were no stones in the sauna and therefore the air was too dry. -There was no fresh juice at breakfast. -Paid parking. -Uncomfortable rooms, poor sound insulation, connecting room door. -Far to city center, without a car it’s hard. -The Bridge restaurant is cheated (they consider cheap dishes at the price of expensive, I hope this is not on purpose). Service in the restaurant is bad.

1,0 Poor
Pros: Lovely location. Good food. Lovely rooms
Cons: Hotel is undergoing extensive renovation including the building of 3 new floors. The noise was unbearable. Was woken up by it. This should have been mentioned before we booked. Paid 362 euro per night for a junior suite with 2 balconies. As this room was overlooking the building site sleep was impossible. Second night in second room we were woken up at 4 am. Only quiet room left to move to was a standard room. Still waiting for refund of the difference which hotel says is the responsibility of booking.com despite the fact we paid the hotel in full before we stayed. Electricity kept going off probably due to all the building works so risky using the lifts. One lift in particular was not working regularly. Strange that such a prestigious hotel does not have any stairs to the room. We had to find the fire escape to get from the top floor to leave the hotel.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice location and friendly staff
Cons: I booked sea facing deluxe room but when i arrived i found room was facing opposite wing and not sea. To my strong resistance i was offered another room with better view and balcony but had to pay extra for it. I had no option but to select room what was offered at last minute.. i told to staff this is cheating and way below standards of mariott. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as you may be cheated as well.

Pros: The hotel is super nice, few minutes from walking distance from plenty of bars and restaurants. Almost in from of the hotel there is a bus stop. The view that we had from the room was amazing. Big clean room. Really enjoyed our 3-day stay there! Definitely will come back!

Pros: Spa and indoors pool are very good. Signature restaurants are of high quality.
Cons: A bit far from St Julian’s bars area. Breakfast buffet is good however only offers the classic British dishes and should also include a Mediterranean selection of dishes

Pros: No breakfast included for a 5 star
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and upgraded my room. They also took time to explain the various facilities at the hotel. The room itself was quite big and well furnished. Great pool view. There are 3 pools in the hotel and looked quite clean. The parking is quite big and costs 3 euros per day.
Cons: The hotel is old and it shows in the amenities. The temperature control in the room was ancient and there was a peculiar smell in the hallways.

Pros: Location was amazing! A short walk to pretty much everything downtown. Conveniently adjacent to the lagoon for that early morning refreshing dip before breakfast. Loved it!
Cons: Service was a bit slow.
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly. View of see during the breakfast was nice.
Cons: The key of door was not working well. We had to go back to reception several times! With a kid of 16 months it was really difficult to handle it! There were maintenance work which was making a lot of noise and we could not rest specially before sunrise!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Big beds and good view
Cons: The hotel was on building, breakfast was improvised somewhere but quite small, and the breakfast was so basic. Reception was also improvised and not good at that moment, probably now they have finished
6,0 Good
Pros: The view from the room is amazing. The new bathrooms are pretty stylish and comfortable. Good location.
Cons: We were there during construction, the works started at 7 AM. That's way to early!! The beds were a bit worn, not very firm.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The daily breakfast was excellent. The staff were very efficient. The room in the hotel was very clean. We liked that there was a 24hr service.
Cons: The early morning breakfast before 7am was very poor with only tea, coffee and scones. It should include more items like fruit and yoghurt in a takeaway bag, The room was missing some tissues.
7,0 Good
Pros: Very central area yet quiet with an amazing view.
Cons: We struggled to find a parking near the hotel. Our room was level 2 and people were smoking in the restaurant outside area. Smoking kept coming inside our room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, from reception, through bar, restaurant and housekeeping. Room was clean and view outstanding. Overall nice stay. Good location, close to amenities, yet far from street noise.
Cons: It's noisy at the moment due to refurbishment, few floors has been closed due to work but work shouldn't start at 7 am as that woke us up first morning after late arrival so I wasn't impressed. Some facilities were closed due to works like indoor swimming pool (vouchers to different hotel were offered but that's a bit of hassle of taking trips into another place)

Pros: Everything was good. Closeness to everything and beautiful views over the sea and the st. Julian's bay.
Cons: Needs little updates in the bathroom , otherwise all good. :)

Pros: The staff excellent and helpful, rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent. Location was great at the end of Spinola Bay.
Cons: The indoor pool was closed due to refurbishment, not much of a problem to be fair. But maybe we could have been informed about the work before we arrived.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a great location, the pool is good with enough sun beds not on top of everyone!
Cons: The lack of parking

Pros: Very quiet location, but close to the crazy and fun side. Everyone was nice and helpful with anything we needed. Pools were surprisingly clean, even though it was off-season! And of course I just have to mention how clean the room was! Definently recommend it! ;)
7,7 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Hotel is very big and making your way to the lobby from your room can take a while.
6,5 Good
Pros: As someone who likes to hop around hotels I ended up staying here for a night. The adjacent hotel, that guest have access to, has a very nice pool area and the staff at both hotels are very accommodating.
Cons: As someone that jumped around a lot of hotels in St Julian's I can assure you this is not the one that you will get the most bang for your buck. It is old, the exterior and interior need to be redone and the pool area for the hotel is ok at best, having a tiny pool, smaller than typical ones in your backyard. If the price is similar stay at the Radisson or if you don't need a resort stay at the Argento.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious bedroom with a nice view. The bus to Valetta is right outside the entrance, there are many restaurants around, nightlife and supermarkets close.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Great - helpful service
Cons: More in room information about the gym - difficult to find.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, attentive and friendly staff. It was my birthday and hotel surprised me with birthday wishes and a cake! Room has all the facilities we needed. Location is good, close to the party area and overlooking the bay.
Cons: Room needs more light
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the property was really good. Had such great views and walking distance to places to eat and night life. The rooms are a little dated but it was clean and tidy.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location Breakfast in the terrace
Cons: In other hotels, a late check-out was offered for free. Here you pay everything. The sun was shining and it was warm. However, there were not too many sunbeds available. No parasols put in place despite the strong sun.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hotel with sea view, great staff, very good breakfast!
Cons: Only thing that I didn't like is that you have to walk outside to go to the indoor pool area.

Pros: Apartment is located in the centre of paceville and all amenities are close by. Room was fair and looked tidy although the floor felt dirty if you walk bare foot. Lifts were changed from last year and these are way better.
Cons: You get what you pay for, fair enough, however this was not the case. First of all, we paid to have an oven facility in our apartment, but we did not have one. We however had a kitchen sink which I couldn’t find a use for it if I cannot cook. We had bought food specifically to cook so as to not eat out everyday. Another thing was the dinner table. When we opened the door, we found a very small dinner table (approx 26" x 26" x 31"). There were two chairs which were higher than the table, so we couldn’t even sit comfortably. On 31st December, just few hours before the new year countdown, we were enjoying the night with some drinks and some music. A man knocked the door claiming he was the manager and told us to stop the music as a lady that was beside him was complaining. He did not let us speak to him, and simply answered us that he is the manager and we are the people, implying that we cannot challenge him. We agreed and stopped playing music. A few minutes later I approached him to complain about the situation of our room, thinking that if a lady can complain about the music, he can escalate my complain to the management. However he told me that he does not deal with complains on rooms. On one occasion the lift also got jammed with people in it, but I didn’t see the manager around so I assume that he is also not responsable for people stuck in lifts. We go to these apartments each and every year and usually we are always satisfied with our stay. We went to St George Parks for Christmas and I must say I was impressed with the improvements in the room furniture and facilities. Sadly I cannot say the same for Burlington apartments. Please improve the room furniture and facilities and hire better management. I believe that the hotel management wants the clients to be satisifed with their stay, so at least, there could have been a better communication with the clients.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I did not take breakfast, cooked inside or there is a cafe just downstairs. The room was equipped with cooking amenities, there was no hairdryer but I rent it from the hotel for the time I stayed. The room is rather spacious with a balcony.
Cons: There could have been more modern air conditioners instead of big fans on the ceiling which rotate with big noise but still, I liked the room because I don,t use much, airconditioners...it is just to know for other guests.

Pros: There was everything, we needed. Close to the bus stup and the seaside
Cons: The window so clean that the sun didn't shine through.

Pros: The stuff was very helpful and very attentive to any ask we had.
Cons: The rooms in the hotel definately needs reinovation. The molded smell was everywhere, the chair in our room was full of dirty spots and smelled. The shower cabine had a leakage, The water temperature and pressure is unstable it was either too hot or cold water. In order to have a suitable temperature you need to adjusting for more than 5 minutes but in this case almost no water pressure. Our room was next to the elevator and mostly drunk people always coming up and down talking loud so for first 3 nights we couldn't sleep at all. Stuff was very understanding they moved us to another room far from elevator. But another night people from the 2 floor below us were outside on the balcony during whole night having party drinking and shouting non stop. The neighbours from the next house and other guests complaint and stuff should have called the police but they didn't. It was another leepless night. So if you are looking for a peaceful place during the night to have a good rest I wouldn't suggest.

Pros: Nice bedroom, we got the cheapest in price but it was still a lot bigger than we were expecting! Even the economy room had a fridge which was a nice surprise. Nice comfy big bed. Bathroom very clean. Room cleaned and was spotless each day. Good location.
Cons: We ate in the breakfast room in the hotel one morning, but was disappointed at the lack of vegan options (no soya milk, or vegan sausages, etc.). So on all the other days we ate out. Quite a few of the local bars did vegan breakfasts so that was good.

Cons: It was kind of dirty inside the room
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Love the atmosphere, food excellent from the bar and drinks good prices. Love the campus layout and fun mix of students and residents. Pool is fantastic but not heated so only good in the Summer. Housed in an old army barrack so lots of history amd character about the site. Excellent value accomodation well positioned for exploring the island as it is on excellent bus routes. Also a short walk into St Julians if you want a night out. This was our second time here and would recommend it, we paid for the indiviual apartments which gives a private bathroom. If you opt for the dorm rooms you are sharing bathrooms and kitchen.
Cons: Beds were a bit uncomfortable, basic singles.

Pros: Big pool, no mosquito
Cons: No lockers in the room

Pros: very friendly lady at reception, felt welcomed. room was spacious, quiet, clean - appreciated the coffee maker (complimentory) - thx again ! for the price paid it was a more than fantastic deal. location is great if one wants to take a walk in the neighborhood (Paceville), so I highly recommend, also take some time to enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, really nice athmosphere, unfortunately I had to leave early for my flight to have breakfast but hopefully will do so next time
4,0 Okay
Cons: Room looks old, and definitely not a good view. On check in receptionist was friendly, check out the italian receptionist was unprofessional, as he asked me to pay for the placed water in the room, even though was not any note that water should be paid.also asked me to go on the room with him to check about the note, of course i was right, as it wasn't any note. Food is good and good quality.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The extra touch, like a birthday card as we were celebrating a big birthday
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, near to bus station towards Airport or other directions, various breakfast
Cons: Some morning noise from the construction works nearby
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and was cleaned to a high standard every day. The breakfast was fantastic, we had the choice of juices, fruits, cereals, croissants, pastries, hams, cheese and a cooked breakfast if you preferred. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful and I hope they all keep safe and healthy during this Covid-19 emergency. A bus stop is conveniently located at the bottom of the street. Purchase the Tallinja travel card for 21 euro per adult this gives you unlimited travel on most buses and is a great buy. We stayed 24th February to 5th May 2020 the weather was 18-20 celcius and sunny for the first seven days, rain last two days. Got chilly from around 17:00 when the sun went down but a fleece or cardigan is fine.
Cons: The area around the hotel was hilly, my wife suffers from asthma but we managed this by taking a breather every 25 metres on the incline. This would not be a problem for anyone who does not suffer from asthma and is reasonably active.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff nothing too much trouble- excellent breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Really nice staff. All toiletries apart from toothpaste were provided by the hotel. Rooms were large and well furnished and very clean.
Cons: Frankfurters on the breakfast. We would have preferred a pork sausage or maltese sausage. It would have also been nice to have bathrobes included in the price rather than an additional charge.

Pros: Location Quiet
Cons: The sheets were shorter and the mattress was getting uncovered constantly. Too much used as well The shampoo and body wash was not sufficient not even for one single bath. We were 2 in the room. The communication with the staff before my arrival was bad, as they did not bother helping me at all (separate report has been given) No parking
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in good location for Paceville and St Julians. Close to the main entertainment area, though on quiet back street away from noise. Good value for location, if not worried to be on the waterfront. Very clean with daily maid service, and facilities as shown on the website (though pool under maintenance during off season).
Cons: Smallest shower cubicle I have ever seen in my life. Maybe an issue for the elderly or mobility impaired. Otherwise all good.
6,0 Good
Pros: The view was good
Cons: The hairdryer needs to be changed!

5,0 Okay
Pros: The location is very central, rooms big and clean.
Cons: Being very central it was very difficult to park the car in the garage of the hotel and it was at a charge. The staff is not that friendly as expected but as we all say life goes on. Breakfast could be better.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I do not usually take breakfast and I am quite happy with a cup of tea. My colleague did have a breakfast and was quite happy with the quality and variety of food available on display.
Cons: There was nothing wrong that I could observe.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast with many choices, to satisfy all tastes and different preferences.
Cons: Prices of breakfast and extra services
5,0 Okay
Pros: Pleasant staff and decent sized room. Spa was a nice touch though no drinking water available. Breakfast OK.
Cons: Pool was filthy with mould and peeling paint all along the side in the water and needed an overhaul along with sun loungers. Coffee tasted awful as they used tapwater which is gross in Malta. Room carpet also smelt and needed a deep clean. Bed was hard and bathroom a bit dated.

4,0 Okay
Pros: Good hotel if you are on budget and for one or two nights. The hotel is located in the party district so expect to see drunk people and dirty streets.
Cons: The carpet and the bed sheets were not completely clean, the bed was old and uncomfortable.
1,0 Poor
Cons: In winter and not even a single blanket in the room that was cold. The room smelled very bad and The staff was incompetent at the check in and rude at the checkout even though that there was no complaint.

Pros: Its very central
Cons: The bathroom very small and the water from the shower goes out from the shower tray
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons: I upgraded to a room with a balcony,at the cost of £30, it was late at night when I got to the hotel so I didn't look at the balcony until the next morning,I wasn't happy when I looked the next morning to find it was a view of a working building site,I would not of wasted £30 if I was informed of this.

Pros: Hotel Juliani was amazing! I would stay there every time I visit Malta. I will definitely return. I love the hotel, location, view, staff, breakfast, dining, spa and shopping in Malta. It was a plus 10 experience!!!
Cons: I am not a fan of hills. So I will always wear flat shoes.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was spot on from location to staff...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Modern clean accommodation with attention to detail
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Juliani. Communication with the staff was smooth both prior to our arrival and during our stay. We have booked a Deluxe Double Room with Sea View and we were upgraded to a Suite for free. The room was beautifully designed, extremely spacious and sparkly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The view of Spinola bay is definitely not to be missed so I highly recommend that guests choose a sea view room. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, one of which is a located in the hotel - Zest - and is worth a visit if you like Continental and Asian cuisine.
Cons: We couldn’t control the AC temperature. Since the area is very lively, it can get a little noisy during the night.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: pillows, towels and dirty sheets They do not change towels or sheets, I had to ask for towels reasonable breakfast
9,2 Excellent
Pros: That it had 24/7 person at the reception, it felt safe.
Cons: I had to contribute noise for brightness in the room.
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: The bed was not so comfortable. The facility seems old and require some renovation and should start with tiling in the room. The bathroom doors had to be opened in an awkward way.
5,8 Okay
Pros: It served its purpose that is to be close to the airport in time for my flight.
Cons: The room was rather dark and the facilities quite old. Quite expensive for what it had to offer. Breakfast can get crowded, not enough tables so you need to wait for others to finish.
5,0 Okay
Cons: Not really clean (foreign hair in bed) and staff was generally rude and unfriendly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel; in the most ideal location and the staff are extremely helpful and kind! Lovely pool on the roof and breakfast is good! Couldn’t recommend more
6,3 Good
Pros: The rooms are clean and there is enough extra bedding for cold nights; there is also a hair dryer. employees are nice enough; helpful with information if you need to - they ordered us a taxi to the airport (not cheap though - 20 euros for a 10 min ride + the taxi was late). location-wise you are close to restaurants and on the corners there are shops for water.
Cons: Breakfast is poor - very little choice, not quality food and same choise every day. Hygene at the breakfast though is terrible, multiple times we saw the employees bring in the cups holding them from the inside with their fingers. Also more than once i found human body hair in the food (in cheese and salami). Even though bathroom is nice and spatious, the shower gel is mostly water and you can't really help yourself with it + the water pressure in the shower is terrible, it takes forever to wash your hair. The pool is on the roof, it was a bit disappointing cos it is quite small and in the middle of the city which during our stay was also a construction site (the latter not the hotel's fault though).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Firs class breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Parking available nearby. Restaurants etc. within easy reach.
Cons: Noisy building works nearby.
