Pros: Location was great, walking distance of historic downtown. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Shrubbery in need of trimming and removing weeds which were overtaking it.
Pros: The room is very comfortable as is the bed. The breakfast is delicious. The location right off of the Main Street is wonderful as you can walk to the downtown easily.
Cons: Their coffee is a little weak.
Pros: The fantastic breakfast
Cons: Need a little table on each side of the bed
Pros: Nicely renovated old inn and helpful owner manager. Comfortable room, bed. Good shower. Just steps from shops and restaurants and the sea. Good Canadian style breakfast.
Cons: The smell of old furniture
Pros: The character and the staff were wonderful. Location was great.
Pros: The room was very clean. Staff nice. Breakfast was decent, but nothing to get too excited over.
Cons: The bed seemed clean, but there was a weird smell from the comforter. Maybe the room was a bit mildewy. We were on the 3rd floor.
Pros: Lovely breakfast.
Cons: Beds weren't comfortable. How overly decorated with too much fru-fru.
Pros: Our host was very helpful and friendly, the Inn was well kept up and spotless!

Pros: Every aspect of the room was well thought out. The quality of towels, toiletries, etc. were all superior to most motels. As a motorcyclist, I was welcomed and offered some clean rags to wash/work on my bike. Very thoughtful.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided ideas on where to visit and the town. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cons: Being from the US our cell service was limited. It would have been nice to have a land line available in the room.
Pros: Very clean, basic but you have all you can need and even more
Pros: My husband is still raving about how much he liked our stay at the Picket Fence Motel. I agree. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable as well as very available. The town of St Andrew NB was a wonderful destination with lots to do.We went out on the Jolly Breeze, a tall ship, for a whale watch cruise. We enjoyed great food at the restaurants by the waterfront. We walked the Kingsbrae Gardens - beautiful and expansive, The gardens were a little pricey but we got a money off coupon at the motel office. And we took an evening shore walk down by the blockhouse. All these were a short drive from the motel. The motel room was spotless, the beds and pillows wonderfully comfortable, and the shower hot and strong.
Cons: We didn't see a moose but the hosts said that was a good thing and we wished we could have stayed another day.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Well-kept, traditional motel with comfortable beds and up-to-date bathrooms. Quiet and clean. Liked the little jar of hard candies in the room. Nice having a screen door on the room. Very close to the center of St. Andrews with its restaurants, shops, parks, and waterfront. Tim Horton's coffee shop within a 5-min walk. This was our second stay and we'd stay again when visiting the area.
Pros: Clean Easy to find Excellent location
Cons: Friendly service
Pros: The location is the key to this property, a short drive or a longer walk to centre of town. It is just a motel but the grounds are pretty.
Pros: friendly staff, quiet at night, very comfortable bed. very clean and close to all the things you want to do in St. Andrews. Hope to stay there again
Pros: Very quiet location and very walkable town. We were able to get around quite easily. As breakfast was not included we had to ask about a place to eat but there seemed to be lots of choice...same with dinner. This motel has a kind of 1950's vibe but is very clean and well kept.
Cons: My only concern would be the size of the shower for larger people although the bathrooms have recently been upgraded.
Pros: Staff was very helpful with advice about local attractions and restaurants! Computer and printer in office was available when needed. Room was very clean, everything worked great. Recycling box was handy. Great, quiet location in town.
Cons: Room was a bit crowded (lots of furniture) and bathroom very small. Smelled slightly musty or something.
Pros: Quite. Great a/c. Owners were hard at work accomplishing everyone's needs. Short walk (10 minutes)or drive(3 minuets) to all the restaurants and shopping in downtown. Free parking.

Pros: good breakfast, location same as dinner.
Cons: Room was satisfactory, but have stayed in much more spacious budget motel rooms. Bathroom design not well thought out, cramped and not well designed despite luxurious shower.
Pros: Ghost tour
Cons: Just need cups in room for coffee
Pros: charm, it is an older building that is said to be haunted
Cons: there was a power outage throughout the town and the hotel did not have a emergency generator. From what we were told in the town that the power goes off regularly. The staff were very helpful and still accommodated for our stay.
Pros: Great family spot full of history and beautiful landscape.
Cons: The historical building and the amazing staff.
Pros: Cleanliness, parking, restaurant
Cons: Buffet breakfast area was cold. Windows in that section need updating.
Pros: nice rooms
Cons: Bathroom was a little small but well done
Pros: Friendly, clean, style
Pros: We were upgraded to a king room and even though we arrived 5 mins too late for breakfast they accommodated us which was really appreciated.
Cons: It is pricey especially in off season but we decided to splurge for a night and it did not disappoint The only thing disappointing was that we would have liked the bar to have remained open past 11:00. It would have been nice to have it open until 12:00
Pros: We had the breakfast buffet it was delicious and the pool and hot tub where great i will definitely stay here again
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Food very pricey
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Staff very helpful and pleasant

Pros: The location is awesome! Beautiful sunsets enjoyed with great company outside on the patio!
Pros: Very simple. We were there in off season. Good location.
Cons: no telephones? Americans are used to phones!
Pros: Location, staff and a great room. Enjoyed the view and watching the receding tide while sitting in the adirondack chairs, in the sun, with a glass of wine. Perfect!
Cons: Perhaps a small continental breakfast, not just donuts, for those visitors who are not guests for a longer stay and therefore would not purchase groceries for one night.
Pros: The host was very friendly, and answered all of our questions. Gave us reccomendations
Pros: I hate to say it 'cos everyone will want to stay here, but the views, the town, the people, the closeness of the wildlife it was all just awesome.
Cons: Having to drink bottled water as some water authority idiot hadn't done their job by ensuring a low reservoir water level warning was working which led to a "potential" contaminated water supply for the town and district.
Pros: Location was ideal providing wonderful views of the Bay of Fundy. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Although I didn't use the indoor pool, it can be viewed from the lobby and seemed to be very clean and well-kept.
Cons: You pay for the location, not the amenities for sure.. The decor in the lobby and rooms is cheap, tatty and dated.security eg locks on doors are rudimentary and should be upgraded.
Pros: Everything was perfect and made a wonderful experience with my best friend and god daughter.
Cons: Extremely tiny bathroom
Pros: Great location with beautiful views. The indoor pool was really nice and great for a family. The staff was nice and helpful.
Cons: No phones in the rooms, satellite tv and there was high winds so we had no channels at all! The coffee and donuts was a bit of a let down, I was expecting at least some juices and fruit.

Pros: The owners were so kind and accommodating! Also, the room looks exactly like the pictures on the website. Everything you need is in the room. The location is VERY good and close to everything. I recommend it.
Cons: I wish the mattresses were just a little more comfortable. I kept tossing and turning throughout my two nights here and just couldn’t stay still. The blankets helped because they’re comfortable, but I wasn’t a fan of the mattress. Other than that, everything else was lovely.
Pros: The owners went above and beyond for our group. Rooms are updated.
Pros: That the hotel was close to tims
Cons: The shampoo and conditioner was to small
Pros: Beautiful views, about 20 minutes from Baddeck. Plenty of muffins, croissants, bagels, bread, bananas and coffee for breakfast. No cereal or proteins. Very quiet for sleeping. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good temperature control. Terrific restaurant a five minute walk. Very pleasant host, Mike.
Cons: No overhead lighting. Two dim lamps, one by the bed... made for difficult reading. Free Wi-Fi seldom worked. TV reception spotty. Minimal housekeeping, which did not trouble us at all, but might bug others.
Pros: Location: Easy to find and turn in/out of, across the street from Tim's, and we saw LOTS of deer out back! (Note you cannot see them from the room; you need to walk back there). Value: good value for cost Facilities: there is a mini fridge we made use of Check out: very easy process; just drop key in the box!
Cons: Water pressure was a bit low in shower. Hubby didn't like the bed (found it uncomfortable), but I didn't mind. WiFi was slow, few channels on TV, but we didn't get this room to hang out in it all day so this didn't really impact our stay.
Cons: The WiFi wasn’t strong in the room we had but everything else was great.
Located in St. Andrews, Tara Manor Inn is within a 5-minute drive of St Andrews Blockhouse and Centennial Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely setting, well maintained. Staff was great, room spacious and very comfortable.
Cons: I read earlier reviews that cited a musty or mildew smell in their room and experienced this as well
Pros: The bed was very comfy. Although it was an older hotel, it was very neat and most importantly, very clean.
Cons: A continental breakfast included in our stay would have been lovely.
Pros: Clean, excellent customer service and staff, quaint and charming.
Pros: Tara Manor is in a great location on the outskirts of St. Andrews. The upper floor (where we stayed in Junior King Suites, has a gorgeous view of Passamoquody Bay. People were friendly, including the check-in and breakfast staff.
Cons: It's getting dated in decor and slightly shabby. Maybe that's good for people with kids, and it probably keeps the price down to a manageable level, too. It wouldn't stop me from staying there again.
Pros: The view was nice
Cons: Room took to long to cool off
Pros: the locatipn and the surroundings
Pros: Staff. Setting.
Cons: Quite run down. Paint job on outside required. Too many steps to climb. Place needs some updating.
