Wonderful hotel and experience
We loved the ambiance of this historic hotel. The staff are very accommodating and do pamper guests. . The vibe is upscale but Florida casual and family friendly. We had a great time lounging by pool and beach. This was a very relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel and setting.
Most restaurants on site are expensive. Would have appreciated breakfast Included even if continental. Had to rent a refrigerator for room. Would think for price of rates would have included one outside of minibar.
Not much to see In Immediate surrounding area.
Food is just awful. The eggs Benedict were just horrible. The guacamole was not made inhouse and again was terrible. the chicken wings? Blech. The Nachos were something you would expect to get at a high school baseball game. Seriously, now you know why people flock to The Frog Pong for breakfast or dozens of other places to eat rather than the over priced dreck at The Don The resort is way overpriced for what you get. It has turned into a wedding factory with music blaring late into the night. Oh and parking... If you valet, you pay $25 per day. If you self park, they charge you $15 per day. Huh? Loews ran a tight ship there. Now, it has slid way down hill. One of my favorite things - In the gym, they had several magazines. The latest edition was a Men's Health from Jun 2015 - and the address on it was Pasadena Car Wash. Oh and the other three magazines? Two were Ski Magazine (from 2014) and one was called 32 Degrees also about skiing.... Not going back soon with so many better - and cheaper- options in the area.
My stay, wedding guest
Great staff- helpful, cheerful, funny, kind.
way to soft beds and pillows- food prices are very high for what you pay for high priced room, and would have been nice receiving free coffee when ordering meals.
I was local and my AC went out so I stayed at this hotel. Very nice and comfortable. A little expensive for a Tuesday!
beach attendants very helpful and accommodating, especially Earnie
Extra charges in the last few years such as parking and newspapers placed at doors in the morning.
Great value. Beautiful sunset.
Too far from downtown
Luxurious and relaxing
Directly on a beautiful beach. Easy to find. Everything you need is in the resort.
