Pros: When I arrived, I whispered to the staff at the reception desk that it was my husband’s birthday and the next thing I knew, the most delicious cake left for us in our room as well as a wonderful acknowledgment during his dessert course at dinner (I couldn’t tell him about the cake, it was a surprise). Elio, the concierge was extremely helpful answering questions and providing nightly suggestions of attractions the next day that would suit our preferences. He even called an owner of a ceramic store selling Aptware to make sure she’d be open for us. The staff on The Citadelle were attentive and gave us a wonderful table. The hotel’s location and ambience were romantic and perfect. Thank you for it all.
Pros: Great service. The hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Great views on the Luberon hills. Breakfast offers a wide variety of food with a view on the Luberon hills. Nice swimming pool and garden. I recommend the bar.
Pros: The hotel is of an exceptionally high standard and the staff are available to assist you whenever you request it. Service is impeccable without being intrusive or stuffy. We have never stayed in somewhere so welcoming, and the views from our room are unforgettable. We would like to thank the hotel for giving us a memorable stay.
Cons: There is nothing that you could not like about this hotel!
Pros: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been. Great location, beautiful views, nice village. Hotel has excellent staff, nice decorated rooms, we have been upgraded for free. Breakfast was very good with high quality ingredients. Room service quick. Heated and beautiful outdoor pool.
Hotel Le Jas de Gordes is situated at 1 km from the picturesque village of Gordes.
It is in this wonderful setting that Hotel Le Jas de Gordes welcomes you, nestled in a 1.5 hectares wooded park full of the aroma of lavender, thyme and rosemary. The little terraces of the ground rooms open on a lush patio or on the garden with its ornamental pond, embellished with perfumed and flowery plants.
Welcoming and peaceful, this Provencal house with typical dry-stone walls has just been renovated: the fountain gives freshness to the hot summer days while the heated swimming pool can be enjoyed all year long. The 21 rooms and bathrooms have been updated and redecorated in a mix of modernity and tradition.
Pros: Stunning boutique hotel , incredibly friendly staff . The buffet breakfast was really good . The uniqueness & simple but stunning design of the hotel decor was gorgeous .
Cons: Nothing everything was as expected if not better .
Pros: Loved the property itself. Very pretty. It was immaculate. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very pretty. Terrace overlooking the gardens was lovely. The pool and lounge areas , breakfast area all wonderful. The staff went above and beyond in making us feel at home and special.
Cons: Very little things-the pillows were too small. The website does say within walking distance to Gordes however it’s a long uphill walk. The location is right on the main road so you can hear all the cars coming in to and out of Gordes. Not quite as quite as I had expected it to be. It would be helpful if there was a shuttle to go in to the village. We didn’t really want to drive In for dinner due to the cost of parking as well as drinking but no choice.
Pros: We had a room in a separate building and it is very nice as it has its own terrace, secluded and calm yet close to the main building.
Cons: Perhaps more variety for breakfast such as more local fruits and eggs options.

Pros: Stylish room furniture with a sense of detail. Beautiful and peaceful surrounding nature. Nice terrace restaurant with lemon trees and beautiful view. Excellent and rich breakfast with warm croissants, good dinner. Nice and friendly owners.
Pros: Breakfast, beautiful grounds, well maintained
Cons: Not easy to find
Pros: Perfectly discreet quiet location, sensational home cooked Provencal food, very nice and helpful proprietors. Beautiful pool and gardens overlooking Luberon valley. A real home away from home.
Pros: The food in the morning and in the evening was excellent. Very colorful, fresh, surprising and served in a relaxed atmosphere. My wish for a vegetarian option was more than fulfilled. It's the perfect place if you want to find a quiet oasis to recharge your batteries. The owners are very friendly and helpful, it's a very peaceful place. It's a central starting point to visit the villages and the natural sites of the Lubéron. I hope that I will be able to come back!
Pros: Claude and Christoph are exceptional hosts. The ambiance and the food were both outstanding. Also, the location for visiting the villages of the Luberon is fantastic. The pool was lovely and very refreshing. Our hosts served drinks at the pool - a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Cons: Extra charge for breakfast. Tap water in mini bar was not replenished after first night.
Pros: Beautiful location, views and hotel and facilities. The gardens are amazing as is the massive pool.
Cons: Terrible WiFi. Didn’t work at all really. Not good for a 5 star lux hotel
Pros: Wonderful location. Quiet and peaceful.
Cons: A bit awkward reception at check-in and getting seats at the restaurant.
Pros: Its a beautiful property everything perfect!
Cons: The room and facility all was perfect and beautiful

Pros: Excellent hotel, location, staff and service. Could not fault.
Cons: Not Applicable
Pros: Fast check in and check out. Situation. Calm and relax, calm people at hotel. Champagne at room invitation. No 100% privacy pool at room terrace.
Cons: Cancellation uniteraly of first night, they send me to another hotel and I do not receive any apologize from managers. Breakfast buffet to far from tables. Old rooms has to be refurnished. No wifi at pool. Not friendly Actitude of “Anthony” at breakfast. Pool Reclycling system of room behind was broken and too much noisy was heard. Not 100% insonoration at room. Entering by car after 21:00 pm is taking waiting time.
Pros: Beds and bedding very comfortable Michelin starred restaurant was excellent
Cons: Not a great value, food was very expensive. Property is tired and could use an interior update especially for the rates they are charging.
Pros: The breakfast was way overpriced starting at 30 euros. Coffee was 8 euros a cup......The room size was was grand the bathroom even grander and the bed was comfortable
Cons: It seem as though the property on the outskirts was not maintained with weeds junk, etc. It appeared at one time to be a grand property, but the upkeep on the property surounding the property has been overlooked. Pool area nice and outdoor cafe around the pool was nice but the area around this area was overlooked with dead grass and weeds. Old and tatered outdoor furniture that needed to be removed. It took away from the grandness of the property.
Cons: Service was very slow, especially at the pool restaurant
Pros: Lunch on the terrasse restaurant very good. View from room lovely. Service great. Beautiful area. Good location between Gordes and Roussilon.
Located in Goult, Lou Granos is on the boardwalk, within a 15-minute drive of Domaine de la Citadelle and Chateau de Gordes. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and lockers. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We loved the warmth with which we were greeted. We loved Nicky's constant patience at our lack of being able to speak French. We got by and had great chemistry. We lived the peace ands her generosity. We loved the house and garden so tastefully and magnificently cared for and erected. We lived the home made breakfasts the attention to detail we loved the company of a lovely lady thst is Nicky . We were grateful for the knowledge she had for beautiful Luberon and that maps she gave with the best directions. We were grateful for the pre booking of the recommended and our selected restaurants in beautiful locations with tantalising food. My son and husband loved the pool and I loved listening to their laughter. There's nothing I would wish to change about the beautiful Lou Granos ❤
Pros: Everything was perfect Beautifu
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: The host does not understand her role and is intrusive and dominating.
Cons: We were relegated to small parts of the house and constantly told that these areas were hers only. One small bench to sit at for wifi use and closed off the pool st 830 when it was stinking hot and still light at 1030 guests were unvomfortabke
Pros: A small island of paradise in a beautiful region to explore. Our host was like our new best friend and her guidance made a difference for us to see the best sights in a short time. Homemade local condiments for breakfast were a rare treat, like a trip back to childhood.
Pros: We tremendously enjoyed being Nicky's guests: excellent location, excellent atmosphere: beauty and tranquility. Great recommendations for activities with detailed instructions. Special mention for the numerous pieces of art throughout the house and the large garden.

Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Planning an event in Goult? This hotel has facilities measuring 1883 square feet (175 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: One of the best things about the hotel is its location very close to the magnificent towns of Provence like Gordes, Bonnieux or Roussillon as well as the vineyards. The room was clean and safe and the beds were comfortable. The personnel was helpful and friendly. Though the breakfast was relatively expensive (12,5 euro) however the products were fresh and tasty. If I were to come back to Provence one day I would chose Hôtellerie Notre Dame de Lumières again.
Cons: None. Everything was ok.
Pros: A conference center, a religious retreat, a hotel nestled in the Luberon. Beautiful setting with extensive grounds including a pool. Room was large, very comfortable bed, air conditioning, large bath. Dinner served there. No choice prix fixe, but very tasty. Dining room a bit institutional. Petit déjeuner was copious and delicious. A great opportunity to enjoy the terrace and the quickly warming Provençal sun!
Cons: The reception was terrible. A woman (bavardeuse) who ignored my arrival and then spat out the instructions with no charm. And I speak French! This was a bad start to say the least.
Pros: The staff welcoming us at the counter. A beautiful and huge swimming pool. The comfort of the bed.
Cons: The hotel atmosphere feels like a covent. Too many aged customers arriving with large coaches. Why not a live bar on the evening to animate the very nice and large terrace? Breakfast to offer more for bio and gluten free consumers (like seeds).
Cons: Reception person was not welcoming and breakfast was poor!! Cold eggs and no one around to help.
Pros: The hotel is ok, rooms are modern and look renovated. Be prepared that no shops are around and only few small food outlets are across the road. There is no drinking water in the rooms and no fridge. Hotel grounds are very good and relaxing.
Cons: For this price there should be some bottles of water in the rooms.

Pros: It is located not far from a beautiful city Gordes. There is a nice restaurant next to the hotel. Swimming pool was good.
Cons: It has all what is needed but their is no ambiance, no atmosphere- though all the ingredients are there
Pros: Lovely peaceful setting, great restaurant next door. You'll need a car for Gordes but if you want peace and tranquility, this is the place to go.
Pros: It was a beautifully maintained property with an excellent restaurant next door in a lovely setting
Cons: A little isolated and so needed to tale the car for any outing
Pros: The breakfast was very good (as always) and the location is superb

Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Pros: nice garden view from the balcony
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: This was truly a very disappointing experience. I spent weeks looking at hotels online in Gordes and was really looking forward to staying in this hotel given the reviews and pictures online. However, at 6pm on the day of check-in they call me on my phone (I'm in Gordes having dinner at this time) and they ask me at what time I'm checking in. I inform them that I was planning on checking in around 830pm given that we had just sat down for dinner after a long day of traveling. At this point they tell me they are closing at 8pm because the restaurant is closed that day and that they are unable to wait for me. They tried to make me return earlier which I refused and finally they agreed to leave the keys w/ instructions outside the property for me. First of all, the check in information by email said check in could be anytime until 10pm. Second, if you were planning on closing earlier because it's off season, why are you calling me 2 hours before rather than emailing me weeks before to let me know in anticipation? And what if I didn't have a phone you could reach me to? Would you just leave me outside in the countryside? To add to this, the Wifi never worked in my room (room #9). The next day when I was checking out, the check out experience was unpleasant and not friendly at all. They never apologized for the miscommunication and didn't ask me how my stay was. I am very disappointed with this stay and will definitely not be returning.
Pros: Very good location, excelent restaurant, nice pool area
Cons: You have to be ready that your booking could be changed or calcelled. We booked 3 rooms several month before our trip. Several days before our arrival we got message that hotel does not have 3 rooms. We have to rebook our stay and find another hotel for 1 night when the Carcarille did not had 3 rooms available. Very bad communication. Hotel just sent us a message that our booked rooms are not available, but did not answer to our messages.
Pros: It was a lovely property, very beautiful, in quiet, rural surroundings a few miles outside of town. The evenings were quiet and peaceful. The room was very comfortable and large, and very clean. The pool area was large and beautiful, and lighted at night. The meals were exceptionally good, and were beautiful to look at, and the dining area, outside, was very attractive. It was close to town, just a few short miles, and parking in town was easy, so driving is not a problem. We will definitely go back there.
Cons: We would have liked to see an indoor lounge area; there was a small outside area, but only enough for one small group.
Pros: Everything was great. Very comfy bed, fine linen, and a good restaurant. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Location is about 1.3klm from the old town of Gordes.
Pros: Beautiful location, close to Gordes with a nice pool, gym equipment, and decently sized room. Quick check-in/out and they allowed us to stay an extra night. Breakfast was good with a nice variety, coffee and tea to order.
Cons: Restaurant was a bit overpriced, not great for kids, and many of the staff did not speak English. I would not recommend for families, the atmosphere seemed more well-suited to couples and older people.
Pros: Great place to relax. Warm pool, clean rooms, great food. Calm and cozy.
Pros: Food and location
Pros: Everything from owner to staff
Pros: Beautiful surroundings Great staff Nice meal
See hotel page Meet Alexandre Deshaies at Mas des Romarins, The Originals Relais. The 3-star hotel is an authentic stone farmhouse known as a mas with spectacular views of the Luberon and Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France. With its understated, modern decor, it charms thanks to its swimming pool set in leafy gardens, its excellent restaurant offering casual fine dining, its sophisticated comfort and its location just a few minutes walk from the village centre.
Pros: The location is great just a couple of minutes to the center
Pros: The view from hotel is amazing and nice location to Gordes, within walking distance. The breakfast is great especially to enjoy the wonderful overview to the village. The service is with quality and
Cons: Room is a bit small but it is
Pros: Its location is the best. All the staff were first class and all were most helpful.
Cons: The rooms are very tiny and the evening meal in the restaurant was poor quality, whereby we ate out at other establishments for the rest of our stay.
Pros: The view from check-in was nice, but from our room we just saw the road. Breakfast was fine, but many things in the buffet were empty and we had to keep requesting things we needed.
Cons: The room was tiny and there was no window, only a glass door that faced the road. The shower drain did not work and flooded the bathroom.
Pros: Our room was up the stairs from the kitchen and it was loud ...pots, pans, dishes until midnight and again early in the morning.
Pros: The bed was very comfy and the air conditioning very effective. Great scrambled eggs. We stayed the whole week for the price of one night in the Hotel La Bastide. Now that’s value!
Cons: Just the attention to detail. They forgot to make up the room one day. The rooms were OK but could have done with some maintenance. The Paris room had a big gap in the wardrobe waiting for the mini-bar to be fitted. The safe was faulty and so we were given the pass key.
Pros: The air conditioning, the pool and surprisingly comfortable bed. The scrambled egg was second to none.
Cons: Where do I start? Wardrobes were tiny with a lack of hangers. At breakfast, we were all hounded by the local wasp population until we retreated into the conservatory. This meant that places had to be quickly re-laid by the waitress. There was nowhere to relax by the rooms, prior to dinner or later. This meant that the Hotel missed-out on up-selling opportunities for such things. Attention to detail lacked in the room leading to a disappointing impression.
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful setting.
Cons: Shower pressure and temperature, lack of a window and natural air flow and light.
Pros: Hotel was in a great location and served a gourmet dinner.
Cons: No electricity in bathroom.
Pros: The view of gordes from the hotel and its courtyard is gorgeous although only a select few rooms enjoy the same vista so, if this is important to you insist on this point when booking. The "table d'Hôtes" has a set menu which you should check ahead as there is no "a la carte" option; the food was well-prepared and delectable on the night we had dinner there.
Cons: We booked a Deluxe room and were disappointed about the view on a stone wall 10 yards away from our bay window. The room called "Senanque" was quite dark made worse by their electricity saving bulbs. The bathroom however was almost larger than our bedroom and exceptionaly well appointed.
Pros: Comfortable well appointed room. Nice view out over Gordes. Nice pool although was unfortunately a bit cold when we were there. Good breakfast.
Cons: Bit expensive.
Pros: Lovely terrace view over to Gordes,Provence. Friendly and helpful staff. Large carpark and easy to find.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff especially the manager
Cons: It's position. If you were visiting towns in the area you had to negotiate all the narrow twisty roads at least twice a day.
Pros: Lovely staff who could not do enough to help me. Great view from the dining room and dinner was served x3 per week which was of a good standard with local wines from the area. The room was very clean and basic but i didnt spend much time in the room during the daytime so it didnt matter to me. It was good value for money in comparison to some other hotels in Gordes town, but still had the view.
Pros: Excellent location. Easy walk into village of Gordes. Great view from outside terrace of villiage and valley. Rooms small but exceptionally clean well appointed and comfortable. Off street parking a real bonus. Food in restaurant was fabulous. Loved the brief stay and would definately rebook.
Pros: The room was clean, the terrace overlooking Gordes was very nice and the staff were helpful.
Cons: The price was a bit too high considering there is lots of competition in the area.
Pros: Helpful, welcoming staff, great location and view.
Pros: Very nice staff and very good value and close to the village.
Located in Roussillon, Le Clos de la Glycine is in the historical district, a 1-minute drive from Ochre Cliffs of Roussillon and 10 minutes from Bruoux Mines. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful (including in English when our (embarrassingly poor) French didn’t work.). Our room was spacious, lovely with great views of the Valley. Bed was very comfortable. Nice toiletries and towels. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Perfect location in this beautiful village
Pros: Loved the location! Incredible view from our room. Plus the room was extremely comfortable - decorated nicely, comfortable bed, large bathroom and shower. Also, make sure to make a reservation at the restaurant! One of the best meals of our entire trip with great service.
Cons: Wished we had known there was free parking before our stay. We drove to three different lots and hauled our luggage across town to find that we could park at a spot right next to the hotel...It wasn’t that big of a deal though because they told us once we checked in and comped our parking.
Pros: Room was a nice size. Dining room very nice. Breakfast nice but a little light on food.
Pros: This property epitomizes everything wonderful about the lovely village of Roussillon. Location, ambiance, history.
Pros: Good bed and room, plus a great location in Roussillon. The view from the restaurant is beautiful as you can see the ochre cliffs. The breakfast was very special! Fruit, breads, cheeses, eggs and great coffee.
Cons: Everything was very good!
Pros: The room was nice and roomy and had a great view. The breakfast patio was very nice although the breakfast was a bit expensive for what you got. The location was great.
Cons: Would have been nice if the tub had a shower instead of just a tub. Also you couldn't see the tv from the bed.
Pros: Location is good, particularly car parking provision. Restaurant David served delicious foods at reasonable price. Room size is big. Outdoor terrace dining is excellent.
Cons: No eggs for breakfast.
Pros: We added breakfast and dinner for one of our nights. The dinner was excellent.
Cons: Internet could have been a little stronger. There was no shower in our room, just the standard kneel in bathtub arrangement. Some like this, but we prefer a shower.
Located in Roussillon, Hôtel Les Sables d'Ocre is in a national park, a 2-minute drive from Ochre Cliffs of Roussillon and 9 minutes from Bruoux Mines. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The young lady running reception was really excellent. Location perfect for visiting neighbouring villages and easy to walk to the numerous restaurants for dinner. Although no restaurant you can still get drinks to have by the pool.
Cons: Pool was cold and bed a little hard, but that wouldn’t stop me staying again - it’s a lovely, small hotel.
Pros: Excellent location and very welcoming staff
Pros: great breakfast,, friendly and helpful staff. walking distance to town was perfect. Enjoyed Jean Pieere's helpfulness regarding making connections for our trip.
Pros: Good place in there!
Pros: Young lady on reception gave us good information about the local area and we stayed not far away for another night
Pros: A small hotel in the most beautiful surroundings of Roussillon, very clean, nicely decorated. It has a beautiful garden with swimming pool. The room we were in was recently renovated, had a very modern and comfortable bathroom, a garden terrace and very comfortable bedding. The hotel only serves breakfast, but than again: an excellent breakfast compared to the standard French petit-dejeuner. Just a detail, but it shows how much the owners value the comfort of their guests: All the chairs in the hotel, restaurant, lobby and terraces have those rubber protectors under the legs, so that moving these chairs does not make any sound, which in almost every other hotel can irritate! Well done!
Pros: Nice place with on-site parking, nice pool, comfortable rooms and all necessities a short walk from village centre. Very friendly and helpful staff providing lots of useful information on the best things to do and see in the area.
Cons: I found it a little disconcerting how everything is locked up including dining area from 8pm until morning. It is not really possible to self cater at this property unless you eat before 8pm.
Located in Roussillon, Le clos des Cigales is in a rural location, a 3-minute drive from Ochre Cliffs of Roussillon and 10 minutes from Caves du Palais Saint Firmin. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: super host, nice breakfast, cleaned every day, lovely pool and areas to chill out, central for all Luberon highlights but also v quite and peaceful.
Cons: room could have done with a fan
Pros: Le Clos des Cigales was a wonderful place to stay, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by a large garden. There was a lot of space for parking on the site. Breakfast on the patio was excellent with fresh croissants, plenty of coffee and a special treat each day. Philippe, the owner was very helpful and ready to answer all queries. The room, in a semi-private bungalow facing the pool and garden, was well decorated, clean and spacious. We could not have had a more restful stay!
Cons: I think that it was a perfect stay - peaceful and restful in a region that is usually very busy and touristy. I was a bit apprehensive at first to book this location (there was no cancellation), but I am so glad that I took the chance since it was the best location we had in this region. Next time, I would love to return and stay at least a week to take advantage of the garden and pool to relax and enjoy!
Pros: In the nature quite comfortable
Cons: It is difficult to find the place
Pros: good breakfast, friendly host, calm, clean, swimmingpool
Pros: We loved the atmosphere and Philippe was especially gracious! The swimming pool was the center of activity and it was great to meet the other guests. Breakfasts were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Pros: The owner is very kind and friendly, delicious homemade breakfast, nice pool, place perfect for rest and enjoy
