This hotel is a real discovery for those who want to experience Rome for real. We were not just in a hotel, we seemed to be visiting Vincenzo, the owner of the villa. Very warm, hospitable attitude not only from the owner, but also from everyone we saw there (Natalya especially). The hotel location is wonderful, we walked to the main attractions, even to the Vatican, and the metro is a 5-minute walk. There are many shops and cafes around. Continental breakfast is served in the Vincenzo lounge and we stayed full for a long time. Thanks so much for the hospitality! Will definitely return someday here!
The place is very nice. Is an old style Roman Villa converted in a B&B. The owner lives on the ground floor of the building and the rest of the house is for guests. The rooms are small but comfortable (have everything one needs). The breakfasts are very nice and there is a nice courtyard which makes the staying very enjoyable and comfortable especially in the morning. Vincenzo, the owner is an extremely nice man. He is super helpful. He knows Rome upside down and he is ready to give great tips on where to go, and what to do to experience the historical Rome. He knows Roman history and he is passionate about it!
Though it was a budget option, we had a wonderful time staying here. The room was spacious, the bed was large enough for 2 persons, and the bathroom was ok. With some inexpensive touches, it would have been perfect. The air conditioning unit was new, and worked very well. The breakfast was varied enough, and the coffee was ok. The room was cleaned every day, which was incredible, but a little unnecessary. The place is somewhat central, but since this a big city, you can’t really go on foot everywhere. There are bus and metro stations not far away. Anyway, it was a pleasant experience, and we might book it again when in Rome.
Landlord and the staff was excellent. Landlord knows Rome and if you ask for suggestion he will be proud of telling you everything you should know and the place you should not miss in Rome. Cheap parking rates inside his property compared to the average in Rome.
I would suggest to change mattress in the room where we were staying. Not so comfortable
Comfortable bed, tidiness.
