The ideal property if you are catching an early flight out of Italy for coming in late. The bar downstairs has a great choice of food and drink. We have stayed in a lot of places in our time in Italy had to tell you the truth this was the best shower And dinner I have had all trip. And free parking!
For what it is there is nothing to complain about
The room was clean and of adequate size. There was a small sitting area Which was nice to share a bottle of wine after dinner.
Staff was not very accommodating , Polite or communicative. Very limited indoor seating for dinner and breakfast. We had to sit outside on the Terrace for dinner in 50.Degree temperatures and then waited over an hour for meals. Took over 30 minutes to get our included breakfast including soft boil the eggs. We needed to get to the airport so We had to leave before our breakfast was ready.
It's our home in Rome... It's real. In a real Rome Suburb, with real neighbors and darn good people around the B&B. The rooms are clean, showers are generous sized for Italian standards, everything works, staff might as well be kin taking time out from the frenetic pace of the Neighborhood Bar and Pizza joint...to check you in, and look after you. They always insist that you sit and have a refreshment, once you get out of the Taxi...while they put the last bit of polish on the room, and so you can settle out of the rat race that is escaping the airport after a long flight. Check the wine cooler. Even the snobs will find something to like. Best Negroni you ever had, is just a bad attempt at ordering in Italian away.. Not gonna lie, I am partial to the family, and the good folks in that neighborhood, as they have spoiled us several times now, and each time, we regret leaving, and wishing for just another day. You wont find better Pizza anywhere in Rome, than right downstairs. Heck, anything in the display case will be top notch. The Calzone Rustico is exemplary... If you are worn out and don't want to fight the tourist crowds downtown for dinner chow, just head back "Home". In the mornings, the Espresso is a notch above excellent, Cornettos are generously stuffed, and the Pizzabianca with Mortadella made in house, is simply nuts.....the 4 star hotel breakfast spreads elsewhere cannot compare, as they are feeding tourists, and Ostia Antica B&B/ Ario is the first stop for the locals to get their mornings started....and they wont tolerate the gorp fed to tourists. As for getting to Rome, it's a short walk to the bus stop. The bus will take you to the train station, and 12 min. later you're in the thick of things. We just got back. Our trip this time, started and ended at Ostia Antica B&B by choice. It's our home base in Italy.
Giovani needs to invest in a Big TV for MotoGP party's....and sell T-shirts.;)
Food convenient and good, but only outdoor seating. Breakfast was simple, but adequate.
Rain shower was cold until water heated up, due to it's position and stationary glass there was no getting away from cold. Luckily we traveled light because room was upstairs. Parking was on street, but this is a residential area.
The room was clean and tidy. The restaurant has good food.
The room was too small for 3 people.
