Hammering noise From above after midnight for about 30 minutes
The location was very good, close to the metro and near the high street with shops. The building is very nice and staff is friendly
the beds and pillows were hard and not so comfortable. The bathroom had a bit of a smell and the room was not really spacious, howeve it was clean and fair for a couple that spends most of the day outdoors!
The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The common reception area was elegant and nicely appointed. The courtyard with the fountain, tables, and beautiful plants was welcoming and a relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring Rome. The breakfast was delicious! An excellent place to stay and very close to the subway and Vatican. Highly recommended as a retreat in Roma!
Enough hot water, clean enough, not so noisy so that one can take enough sleep.
Laundry service takes a bit too long. Ask on morning, arrives around the noon on the day after.
The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and competent. Breakfast was very good, apart from tasty prosciutto, ricotta etc we enjoyed bruschetta and tasty Italian pies. To sit in the calm garden (inner-courtyard) featuring a small fountain, drinking something from the bar is very relaxing. Location is near a metro station. Piazza Cavour, Castel Sant'Angelo, Vaticano and Piazza del Popolo (Via del Corso) are in walking distance. We found some good restaurants nearby (not touristic).
They have two different kind of hotel buildings. A larger and a smaller one. The larger one looks like a 4 star hotel, but the smaller building where we slept in is not more than a 3 star hotel. We booked a "standard room". The smaller building was old, adapted "in russian style" as we would say in Austria.
