The staff was excellent and helping
The hotel is in a quite area not far frim the centre if the city.
The lift is too small for such a busy hotel.
We were a traveling family of 2 adults and one 10 year old child and loved our stay at Hotel Carona. The location is ideal. The road the hotel is located on is very safe and vibrant with a morning market every day, a few really great restaurants right down the street, and affordable shopping just a few minutes away on the main streets. Many of the sights are in walking distance, but Termini station and Piazza Republica are both very close (5 mins or less) and are bustling hubs with Bus Tour stops and Metro stations. The room was a fair size for eurpoean travel, and very clean and comfortable... and also very cool! The breakfast was perfect, coffee, fruit cereals and tasty breads and muffins.
The only thing we would have to say is that the matresses were very hard, however in comparison to our other hotels on this journey this hotel was by far superior - and it should not affect your stay here... we loved it!
The hotel is in a not so bad location not far from the Termini.
At first sight the room appears clean but only until you look at the out of sight locations like under the bad. There you will find dirt that probably havn't been cleaned for months. The rooms are small and face the hall so every noise outside feels like it's coming from inside the room. The A.C. is a central one and controled by the hotel which decides to close it at will, like early in the morning, or during the afternoon. In coclusion would be an o.k. 2 star hotel but definitely not a 3 star hotel and specially not for the prices they charge. Very much not recommended!!!
I found the owners and staff to be helpful and friendly. it was convenient to the shops and train station and within walking distance to most of the major sites. The breakfast was adequate.
no internet, no cheese no yogurt in the breakfest
the location was very good very close to main attractions of the city.
Recepetion staff was friendly and willing to assist. Hotel has a central location (Termini station within walking distance).
Very limited choice for breakfast; tiny elevator, TV with poor quality picture; old furniture, small room, price reflects location rather than merits of hotel.
Close to Termini station.
The twin room was split into two so one room was dark and next to the bathroom. The bathroom was was more like a shower with a toilet and sink in it which got wet when you showered. It also made the floor very wet and slippery. The water also leaked from beneath the door and into the room itself wetting the bed linen. Not good value for money we thought.
