Pros (+) The location was why we chose this hotel. We were a twenty minute hoof to St. Peter's one way, and five minutes to the Coliseum the other way. It was a great home base from which to explore the eternal city. We were also surprised when they upgraded our room at check in. Room size was outstanding for an older hotel.
Cons (-) We've stayed in many dozens of old hotels throughout Europe, so we are not surprised when some parts of the experience are a little ragged. It had been unusually warm.
