Pleasant hotel in nice neighbourhood but room service unreliable.
This is a beautiful old Roman hotel, stunning gardens and (rare for Rome) a fabulous good sized pool. The breakfast was ok but limited on hot food, great coffee though. I had a lunch and aperitivo by the pool and both times food was lovely.
It is tired. The rooms are not ‘deluxe’ or ‘superior’, my room very much needed a revamp. The AC worked but very noisy. For the cost, you do not get quality sadly. The pool is lovely but in all the hotel pools I’ve swum in, it was a first to wear a swim cap mandatory! Plus it started raining, and although still very warm in temperature, the pool was suddenly off limits? Why? Swimming in the rain can be fun! The lunch time restaurant waiting staff seemed unable to cope with a full restaurant. The lifeguard at one point served us our ice creams from the bar. For the most, the staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Price, added tax, staff attentiveness, breakfast
Although very clean the room was very basic, Some of the staff were very informative however some were not. Breakfast was good and plentiful and fresh, food in the whole was good. Staff at the poolside were very attentive.
I booked the hotel purely for the pool but upon arrival it was out of bounds which was very disappointing and resulted in a fair bit of boredom for my son along with an unplanned expensive day out at a Water Park.
The hotel was safe and if the pool would have been working the stay would have been fabulous. We pre paid booking.com and booking.com would not return messages to refund so we could find alternate accommodations. The hotel gave us free wine at the end but ultimately was a great hotel and booking.com was disappointing.
Instead of free wine at the end of our trip a voucher for food or something we could have used at the hotel would have been better suited. The property was beautiful though.
