Overview

Along Interstate 80 in Rock Springs, the Best Western Outlaw Inn, Rock Springs, Wyoming, blends modern convenience with frontier character, with spacious rooms featuring plush bedding and free Wi-Fi, an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, a business center, and an on-site restaurant and lounge. The setting puts hiking, fishing, and boating within easy reach, with a rodeo, an international festival, and the county fair bringing the community together throughout the year. Southwest Wyoming's rugged backcountry begins right outside town. Rock Springs began as a coal-mining and railroad town on the high desert of southwestern Wyoming and remains a hub for the surrounding Red Desert, with its wild horses, the Killpecker dunes, and ancient petroglyphs. Just south stretches Flaming Gorge, the 91-mile reservoir on the Green River named by explorer John Wesley Powell for the way the sun sets its red canyon walls ablaze, a haven for boating, blue-ribbon trout fishing, and scenic drives.
