Lovely art deco house in a great location, close to both Lapa and Santa Teresa.
No hot water so cold showers and the room wasn't cleaned every day. Wifi didn't work in the room but did in the main part of the house.
We loved everything! The place is beautiful! The staff incredible. The atmosphere out of this world ! The breakfast and diner were delicious ! Cocktails are awesome too!
Nothing. It was perfect from start to end :)
Marianne and Marcus were so helpful and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. They made my stay welcoming and enjoyable. The hotel had a great atmosphere, like stepping back in time. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in my room.
I loved the style of the house, the lay-out. The internet worked well, the house had great potential for making the pool a little more user friendly, perhaps a snack bar or drinks. A TV in the rooms would be an added benefit or even a communal TV room/internet cafe
The house is a little ragaty round the edges and could do with some maintenance. It was lacking in access to refreshments, I know they offer an airport shuttle but the price is expensive. Having to pay and extra R$50 for checking in between 21:00 - 23:00 & not being able to check in after 23:00 is very out dated in this day and age. Especially after a long days travel or a flight delay which is out of the customers hands. When we arrived the door bell from the street to the reception area didn't work. The following night when we returned from a night out we found a customer waiting on the door step. A female alone at 23:00, just because the door bell didn't work. That's after we informed the receptionist 24hrs earlier that the bell didn't work.
Breakfast is OK, but not great and it is served only at 8:00. If you like to rise early to go out, it is a pity to have to wait for breakfast. We had the top room and the odd thing is that you can only reach that room through the use of an elevator - which makes you feel a bit disconnected from the rest of the hotel. I´d recommend the other rooms.
