Ribes de Freser hotels

Pros: This was a great place if you like to be a short distance from town. Very quiet with wonderful views in a country setting. Ramon, the owner, was very helpful, accommodating and gave us some good local information. A short distance from the train station to Vall de Nuria in Ribes de Freser. Get on at the origin train station to assure yourself of a good seat especially during high season in the summer. The apartment is very nice with full kitchen, washing machine, beds for 6. Just 4 km to beautiful and quaint Campelles with friendly people and great restaurant. Great views at Sant Antoni just a 5 minute drive up the mountain. Great place to stay. Plenty of parking.

Pros: Great scenery, very quiet. Owners very nice and accomodating, helped with all our requests,always with a smile.They also have cribs,bath, high chairs and bed barriers under request, very useful.

Cons: Would recommend the owner to install nets on the windows to avoid flies in the apartment.

Pros: An authentic renovated and upgraded farmhouse, fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Excellent location 5 minutes from Maribes de Presser. The owners are courteous, efficient and very kind. Helping with everything that is needed, Ramon the owner gave us his personal mobile number in case that we need help.

Cons: Nothing, everything was 100%

Pros: this place was absolutely perfect! my boyfriend and i booked 3 nights and every day we told each other how happy we are to be staying there! unbelievable view from the room balcony, super nice host, every apartment is FULLY equipped with everything we could think of, a fireplace, waterfall shower and 2 sinks, simple but very nice and tasty breakfast, all of the apartment was very very clean, there is a smart tv in the living room and a laptop and printer in the bedroom (!!!) for your use! we booked this place at the last minute and didnt really think about what to expect, it really couldn't be better! <3

Cons: the hotel is not inside the town, its about 7 min drive up the beautiful hills, we LOVED it being a little remote though!

Pros: Old country House which had apparently had been in the Family for awhile, Pleasant bucolic Setting.

Pros: Very friendly staff, quiet yet accessible location and excellent facilities. We travelled with a 4 year old and the play room was a welcome distraction. The spa with pool, jacuzzi, sauna and turkish bath were thoroughly enjoyable. Restaurant serves a varied menu and every meal we had was well presented and delicious. The room was well laid out and very comfortable, with nice views over the valley. The hotel is a walk from the town with additional restaurants and bars and the train to the ski station. Highly recommended,

Pros: Great hotel in a very beautiful area. Staff was great and super friendly and recommended us an amazing place to visit, Villa de Nuria, that made our trip. The room was on the first floor with a direct access to the yard with green grass. Beautiful for seating in the evening and morning enjoying the nature. Internet worked great, no problems at all. Breakfast was simple but had everything you need and can expect from a hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel two times, and both times the food was amazing. Service super friendly and pleasant. This hotel is a perfect place if you want to discnnect and be closer to nature. Strongly recommend.

Cons: That you have to pay extra if you want to use the swimming pool. And its prettty expensive - 23 EUR per person per day to use the pool.

Pros: The location is perfect. Easy to find and no parking problem. The building is beautiful as are the surrounds. Very friendly and welcoming staff.. Excellent breakfast.

Cons: The price of our room (+/- 184€ a night) I feel use of the spa could be included or if not at a lower rate. Bar service is offered as room service. It was a shame not to be able to have a drink in the beautiful sitting room with the large window.

Pros: Very nice views, clean and spacious. Friendly staff in the restaurant.

Cons: Some offers and rooms were not available on Booking.com. Only double rooms (for couples) available.

Pros: The room was stunning and really comfortable. The bed was fluffy. The reception staff were very nice.

Cons: Food was below standard. I didn't eat the second dish as it was confirmed to be a fillet fish, but it ultimately had bones. For dessert I was punished and got the edges of the flan cake while my partner got a fresh looking flan. I didn't complain. I was charged in full. I was not offered any compensation. I'd stay away from that restaurant.

Pros: Beautiful place, quiet relaxing the stuff is very very nice. The spa and rooms have an amazing view to the mountains, couldn’t leave the place!

Cons: Breakfast is minimal

Pros: The staff were very friendly especially reception staff who were extremely helpful. We ate in the restaurant and the food was wonderful. Lovely big bed which was very comfortable. Hotel is just round the corner from station for the train to Val de Nuria which is well worth a visit.

Cons: Unfortunately no air con but I assume this is rarely warm in a global perspective A little lack of noise insulation with the corridor

Pros: Good location for train to Nuria Valley and the staff were excellent and very helpful.

Cons: The location itself was extremely quiet with limited bars etc nearby.

Pros: we stayed in the apartment which is actually next door to the main hotel. Its a bit strange as the door opens directly onto the street and so not the best view - but great apartment, really well equpied, spacious and super clean.

Cons: nothing major. Couldn't access the ground floor balcony and the main door to the street had to be locked with a key to stay shut (and we only had one key)

Pros: Super attentive staff, quite central to the village.

Cons: Windows don’t have blinds! Well they do, but they’re translucent and it doesn’t block any light... including street light... had to sleep with eyeshades on... facilities were basic, but functional.

Pros: The staff were lovely and were helpful and friendly. The restaurant is fantastic. The standard room was clean and basic.

Cons: The shower head was very high and in a strange location so difficult to avoid water spraying onto the floor!

Pros: The family who run this hotel are very courteous and welcoming. The quality of the food in the restaurant was high and good value. The Lunar bar was a great place to chill after a days walking. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and felt more authentic than the hotel rooms. Really close to the station for the rail trip up to We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Pros: Perfect location. Two min walk to Nuria train. Excellent breakfast. Staff very nice and helpful.

Cons: Room and bathroom were quite small. Cozy for two people. But up to date facility. Room could have been cleaner upon arrival. Very dusty.

Pros: Close to La Perdiu Blanca - best food in town.

Cons: Decor needs updating - very 1970s. Need 24-hr front desk and front door open. Back door after hours was NOT marked!!! Breakfast should be buffet style and offer more than only breads and meat and cheese.

Cons: The room was hot and stuffy no thought had been given to ventilation during the refurbishment the view was of the town's recycle bins which had continual bottles being smashed into them. The bed had a strange shelf where the top of the headboard should be and made it impossible to sit upright in bed. Generally the room was not comfortable.

Cons: This hotel wasn't bad, but honestly, it's most famous days are probably over. I think they should at least buy the new sheets for the beds. It wasn't dirty or anything, but impression could be much better.

Pros: Exceptionally helpful, friendly and efficient staff, extremely clean and well furnished room, good facilities, very comfortable bed. In a perfect location: close to the station and to several shops and restaurants, in beautiful surroundings.

Pros: Good location, very close to the rack railway station to Nuria. The room was small with a heating, tv and bathroom inside. Breakfast was very good and different choises, for example bread, croissants, cheese, meat and sweets.

Cons: The mattress wasn't confortable and should be changed.

Pros: We chose Hostal Porta De Núria because it was so close to the railway to the Valle Nuria. We were not disapointed. We were given a warm greeting and shown to our room. We also had 2 dogs so for us this was a bonus choice because not many places offer this facility. The trip to the valle is amazing and worth going to. We ate a 3 course supper at the hostel for 13.50 euros. which we felt was excellent value all home made..... soup, grilled fish home cooked chips tomato finished with almond cake. We also walked around the centre of historic Ribes with a good range of shops. We visited in December so quieter we guess that during better weather it would be busy. Do try the Hostel if you are visiting this area.

Pros: Location was good. Nice friendly staff at reception. Clean room as advertised. Very good value for money.

Cons: It was just what I wanted. Clean, safe, basic. Note: you might have to walk upstairs to room. Not a problem for me, but maybe for others.

Cons: a little noisy bed

Pros: Breakfast was pretty good. Good bread and variety cold cut meat, a specialty in the area. A variety of fruit juice. The manager and perhaps the owner is very nice and friendly. She makes sure that you are being taken care of. The place is clean and the location is great - just close to the cremallera train - and right in the center.

Cons: It’s too basic. They could add nice bed sheet and bed cover.

Pros: They have good restaurant with traditional catalan cook. Pretty recommendable if you want to feel integrated in the place.

Pros: The views were amazing, the pool in the middle of the mountains and the peace of the surroundings. The friendly and helpful staff who whi welcomed us when we arrived late at night and upgraded us to a lovely apartment. Would definitely visit again! Thank you!

Pros: They helped us anything we wanted. The view of the hotel is amazing.

Cons: The weirdest bathroom I have ever seen. Toilet and sink are face to face to it was not easy to sit down to the toilet as the gap is only 10 cm in our room number 308. Rooms and corridors all were dusty which I have allergy. May be the reason; 1st of June is off season. Wooden Stairs are noisy that you can hear anybody’s foot steps. At least we were lucky that we stayed on 3rd floor so there was not that much guests.

Pros: The views are incredible, the staff was very friendly, and breakfast and dinner was good. The swimming pool and outside area is very nice.

Cons: No elevator, we had to carry our bags and baby 4 floors up the stairs. Not enough parking spaces. We asked for a baby crib and they gave us a dirty crib with dead insects inside.

Pros: The staff were excellent. Evening dinner too and great value. Really made to feel at home. in the end we decided to have breakfast and we werent disappointed. Excellent.
