Pros: Everything in this place was excellent! Location - 10min walk from trainstation, right at the seaside. Breakfast was superb with a mix of english-Italian offers and they will make you your coffee of choice - there is also options for vegetarians/vegans with soy yogurt, fruits, hummus & tofu! The staff is amazing and super friendly. I liked the feeling of a small hotel were they know their every customer. Rooms were clean, comfy with really good AC. Me and my small chihuahua had an amazing experience and this was a perfect get-away from the city. Big bonus for being such a pet friendly hotel!

Pros: Location, cleanness, staff
Cons: Room is small and window from balcony goes on the neighborhood building.

Pros: I chose this property purely for the location as we wanted to visit Portofino and the Cinque Terre. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that Rapallo itself was a lovely little town and the hotel just superb. The staff were fantastic - we were met by Alessandro who couldn’t have been more helpful. He gave us loads of information about the area and how to get about. I would recommend the Hotel Astoria - it was a wonderful stay.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Beautiful location and the staff were all lovely!

Pros: We loved the views from the hotel. Fantastic location. We stayed in the pink building on the top level, not a seafront room but on the side with a view down the coast & a cute balcony. We loved it.
Cons: If you didn’t have a room with a view & a small balcony then it would be a waste of money. Some staff were not so friendly.

Cons: Very expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful, amazing place!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was really top!! Very rich and fresh breakfast! Camogli is a small but lovely fishing village with its beautiful colourful houses. The sea was wonderful, clean and crystal blue!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, wonderfully accommodating staff, really good breakfast, really good restaurants. The pool area and beach area are nice. There were always plenty of chairs and the staff were helpful. The sea view room we had for one of the nights was absolutely worth the price and I would book that room for my entire stay next time.
Cons: I am 6’4” and our first room had a ceiling beam that came diagonally down into the room and bathroom. Luckily we were able to switch rooms after the first night because I had to duck constantly while walking around. It also made it impossible to stand up in the shower. If you are tall at all I would make sure not to book one of the rooms with the slanted roof.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stunning location. Gorgeous ocean and pool. Sparkling clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Delicious food including bountiful buffet breakfast. Wonderful to stroll around the town. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to visit again.
Cons: This was a perfect vacation.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 pre-teenagers) and stayed at the hotel in Rapallo in August 2019. Amazing location!! The room was spacious and super clean. Went to the Skybar for a drink where the view was just unbelievable. The personel of the hotel was so nice and polite. We had a fantastic stay in Rapallo.
Cons: The master bed matress was stiff and the pillows are quite stiff as well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was over the top fabulous. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We loved the location being so close to Santa Margherita and Portofino. We loved the area around the hotel and Rapallo was a very pleasant surprise to us. Loved our stay in your hotel and loved our view from our 2 balconies.

Cons: Very expensive for this location.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, proximity to the beach, clean modern rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: .......
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was great, as it is by the water and within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and gelaterias. The rooftop deck also offers beautiful views of the water, the coast and the town below. We received an upgrade to a room with a small balcony and partial view of the water, both of which were nice to have.
Cons: Our room had pretty thin walls, so we could hear everything going on upstairs and around our room. Not so much noise to the point where it was disruptive to our stay but at the same time, it is probably dependent on who is staying in the other rooms. Also, when we checked in, the front desk staff tried to get us to pay EUR50 for an upgrade and threw in free breakfasts and free parking (normally EUR12 across the street for 24h), but were baffled when we didn't want an upgrade (we ended up skipping breakfast and parking for free on the street a few blocks away). Most likely, the upgraded room that was proposed to us for an extra EUR50 was the only one available. Typically when a hotel is in this situation, the upgrade is provided at no cost to the guest, so it was strange to have it presented as a promo we needed to pay for.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From the initial greeting from the desk staff the stay at this hotel was superb. The rooftop bar was simply unbelievable as was the location right next to the harbour. Amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfest with delicious coffee and professional staff service.

Pros: Other than every single thing? It was immaculate, expansive, welcoming, beautifully landscaped and peaceful. The rooms were spacious, including our balcony. The service was extraordinary. The staff simply does not know how to say’NO’. They were gracious friendly and ever present. The entire property was landscaped beautifully. The salt water pool was a ‘real’ pool with excellent pool service. I could go on forever. But..... I will Eleven you with one observation— when asked how the stay was, I said ‘spectaculoso’— the only thing I would change was my checkout date!!!
Cons: Honestly nothing. My regret is that you don’t have an ‘11’ in your rating system!

Pros: It was our 2nd stay in the hotel within a week. Why? We came back where we felt the best! The hotel is simply great - starting from amazing staff, who was paying a lot of attention to every guest, great location, fantastic design, and perfect choice for breakfast and dinner.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and very attentive staff who simply creates an open atmosphere in the hotel. The contemporary design (attachment to details, combination of styles and very “new yorkish” feel and touch) made this hotel a perfect alternative to other hotels with very classic and often outdated styles. The location of the hotel is perfect as well - just a walking distance to the main street and the sea. Great choice of food for breakfast and the place where it’s served is simply top notch!

Pros: The hotel staff are very friendly and go out their way to make your stay comfortable. Room was clean and had an amazimg view.
Cons: Even though we were on a non smoking floor, neighboring rooms' occupants smoked on their balconies / in their rooms and the smoke got into the aircon. The pool staff also allow people to 'book' sunloungers at 7am and then leave without returning until 11am, meaning some people don't get sunloungers even though many are unoccupied. There are no coffee/tea malimg facilities in the room.

Pros: Beautiful hotel with historic elegant feel, formerly a villa. Grand common areas with lovely outdoor and indoor dining. Proximity to downtown Santa Margherita was great but also allowed for easy parking, private ocean area for relaxing.
Cons: air conditioning was not great and the room was a little small for such a grand hotel. Exercise/gym facilities were small & poorly ventilated. Dinner at the hotel was not our favorite meal/where we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner/stay. They did not do anything special to welcome us or recognize our anniversary. Our other hotel made a fuss during our breakfast and dinner in the Cinque Terre region.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The service the staff and the facilities all are excellent
7,0 Good
Pros: This hotel is stunningly beautiful. The outdoor spaces are perfectly manicured, the restaurants and halls are gorgeous. The location is perfect. The pool and seaside area is just as pictured and are perfect.
Cons: The staff have no customer service skills at all. They lost our business at every meal as we preferred to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere than deal with the service (non-existent) at the hotel. The only staff that were attentive were the lifeguards.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous hotel located in the heart of Santa Margherita. FREE parking offered in lot by check in so very convenient if have a car. Room and bathroom was huge for European standards. Pros: We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, historic hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located and walking distance from the Old Port and a variety of shops and restaurants. The breakfast spread was great and the service was very friendly and efficient.

Pros: Well organized. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great position. Lovely building. Excellent stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Smoking in the restaurant. People chain smoked for our whole meal! This spoilt the taste and atmosphere for us and I got a sinus headache. Had we realized we would have organized to eat elsewhere, which still would have been disappointing. There was no inside area set up. This discriminated against non smokers and it is about time the restaurant takes that into account.

Cons: Couldn;t be better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel oozes opulence and history. It is beautifully maintained and the staff are top-notch. The maid must've noticed the first day that I had a water container by the bed so she kept a fresh hotel water bottle there the next day. That's attention to detail. The room was freshened up every time we left. There was a large rainshower head for drenching and a deep soaking tub - all very elegant. The breakfast buffet on the top floor offers fresh omelets, bacon, ham, salmon, prosciutto, lots of breads, pastries, tarts, fruits and endless cappuccinos with a view across the train station toward the port. It's an industrial city with its own unique charm. Quite beautiful lit up at night. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is unique with the rail tracks off to the right. The lobby area had a day bed, chaise lounges, snacks throughout the day. Check out the samurai uniforms on the A floor overlooking the main floor. Beautiful hotel. Lots of character.
Cons: Nothing really. There are some sketchy alleys toward the port, but just stick to the main streets and it's fine. Even coming out of Genoa principale at midnight felt safe.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Loved the spacious room and bathrooms. The spa and the beautiful view from top floor where breakfast is served. Proximity to the central station.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Staff of Bar and restaurant on 7th floor

Pros: The hotel was very nice, worth the cost. The staff were friendly. Parking is an issue, weekends are free, but weekday you can pay on pay and display. The manager Francesa was very helpful, I had booked a room with a terrace, when saw the room there was a wall that covered the view, which was disappointing, they explained they gave a King size room as I had a child. To compensate the view, they removed the parking charge. This was very kind of Francesa who was very apologetic.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, top floor with very nice large terrace. Fantastic views of the sea and harbour. Parking was excellent. WiFi was good. The tv had a good choice of channels. The location was excellent, just a five minute stroll into town. The staff were very nice. The private rocky beach area, although paying for sun beds is a bit expensive!!
Cons: Just a minor comment. Bit noisy in the corridor in the morning. I think it was staff opening and closing storage doors. But, excellent noise reduction from the windows, no noise from outside at all.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location is good
Cons: The furniture is very old and the room was not clean ( very old ) the toiletry is not good ( shampoo and shower gel is the same and no conditioner) No water complementary in the room Any extra order in the breakfast like omelette was charged You have to rent a sun chair for 20 € per person

Pros: The location and overall feel of the hotel was good
Cons: My room was very poky and dark
6,3 Good
Pros: Location is spectacular - the view from hotel/room is perfect, the gardens with benches dotted around is ideal and the beach area is brilliant. Room was clean and had the promised sea view balcony. Staff were friendly.
Cons: I was put into the separate building which is small and boxy. Room was incredibly bland/basic and bed one of the least comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time. Paying €20/day for parking was annoying, but €20 for a sunbed on the hotel beach is just plain rude when you’re a guest. Breakfast also pretty basic vs most Italian hotels I’ve stayed at.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, right in the centre of Comogli. Lift takes you down from railway station to the main street that the hotel is on. This is very handy to know although many didn't, but we did advise people we found struggling down the steep steps with suitcases. The railway gives cheap and easy travel to many coastal resorts as well as Genoa, hence the location of this hotel was perfect! The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer or better informed and they were so knowledgeable about the area and facilities and nothing was too much trouble such as printing out train times and details, on the many occasions we asked. I originally inadvertently booked a small room, which would have been fine for a short stay but too small for a 9 day stay, but fortunately they were able to move us without any problem or fuss. The cleanliness was outstanding as was the friendliness of all the staff, cleaners, breakfast lady, receptionists and owners, who also work there. We had a problem with the fridge not chilling as it should which we reported at night, they put our white wine in the hotel fridge to chill and the next day ours was fixed. Cannot praise or recommend it highly enough!
Cons: The hairdryers in the rooms are not the best - the bathroom wall type - but I borrowed one from reception which was fine. I think they are aware of the problem which is why they have them behind reception.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very well positioned in a non traffic area on the Main Street!

Pros: The room is huge. The restaurant view is amazing. The lobby lounge area also have excellent view. The smartcard usage to enter the room. The staff are excellent. (Check in and Check out was pleasant and efficient). Location is near the historical part of the city and next to the aquarium.
Cons: The view... I got a city view. Which is nice, but the ocean view is nicer. I dont know ho to use the AC. When you tried to adjust the temp, it goes -1 until -5, on which I dont know what it meant. Does it mean -5 from current temp?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing, room quiet, great view, very helpful staff. housekeeping helpful and thorough.
Cons: everything was nice
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast ever. About 8 different sorts of milk and several freshly pressed juices. Additionally you are able to sit outside at the terrassse and enjoy the light and colors of water, hills and houses. There was a problem with warm water, but they solved it quiet fast. Good location to go for a walk in the old town or along the Harbour, as well as getting to metro or by taxi to the Airport.
Cons: Price was a bit high, but since there was a conference nearby this was reasonable. Even when it was solved fast, just cold water in the morning is quiet uncomfortable if you have a meeting to reach.

Pros: The entirely Italian feel I was looking for! Feels like I was in one of the Bond’s movie! The facilities are old but adequate, and all the small details showed you this is a quality hotel with good history. The location is wonderful! Just across the street from the railway station but it’s not noisy. Easy access to the castle, port, museum... The stuff are professional, polite and efficient, just friendly enough..
Cons: The air conditioner is not in a good condition anymore. It works, but quite noisy.

7,5 Good
Pros: Location, and room design
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful hotel right opposite the train station Principe, which is very convenient for the ones who want to explore the riviera and surprisingly safe as well. The hotel gave us portable wifi (really useful) and let us use the jacuzzi of the grand hotel savoia. All in all, great experience.
Cons: Breakfast could have been included in price and the reception should stay open 24/7, because after 23:00, you have to enter the hotel through the hotel next door and it s too much trouble. Other than that, everything was great.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good, well varied breakfast. Good location near via Garibaldi.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location - in the old town center, you can easily walk everywhere by feet. We stayed with your dog. We were pleasantly surprised that the staff brought us dog bowls and bed - it was really nice :) Breakfast was good. Wifi was super fast. Room was a bit outdated but the bathroom was really nice and big.
Cons: Room was a bit dark and our window was just a 2 meters from another building wall, but probably in Genoa, it is hard to get a better view since every building is close to each other.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to explore the city centre of Genoa. Clean rooms and extremely helpful staff.

Pros: The bad was comfortable, good view from the room hotel near to the Porto antico and piazza Ferrari...nice personnel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff here provided the best customer service we have seen over 3 months of travelling in Europe and 10 months of travel in Australia. I emailed in advanced asking advice on an English speaking Physiotherapist. The reply I got didn’t just give me a name but preempted my next move by providing a possible appointment time as well. All booked with no stress to me and within walking distance from the hotel. When we arrived I felt like we were coming home. All of the staff were lovely, in particular Nicole and Cinzia. They booked us a great restaurant on our first night and provided details on other options. Rooms are. Good size. Clean. Excellent breakfast choice. Free tea and coffee during the day. Excellent location. We were sad to leave
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are really nice and approachable. The bed is comfortable. Location is superb. Loved the shower. Very clean!
Cons: There was an annoying buzzing heard in my room. Especially in the corner of the room where my pillow was. Must have been something in the hallway or neighbouring room. Had to sleep on the other side of bed so that I would hear it less and manage to fall asleep. Although everything else is good, it is a bit pricey for such a small room with rather old-fashioned furniture.
7,5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good
Cons: i liked everything

Pros: It was a great hotel with its stylish rooms and hall. The staff is amazing and very kind. The place where the hotel is was just perfect for moving into the city by foot.

Pros: Excellent hotel in the heart of Genova, only a few steps from Palazzo Ducale, San Lorenzo and Via Garibaldi. We appreciated the welcoming staff, the clean and spacious room and bathroom, and the very rich and high quality breakfast (great price of 8 euros per person). The hotel also has a fitness centre and a spa. It is located in a romantic area of Genova, and the room had a great view over the city roofs. The area around the hotel is safe, full of restaurants and cocktail bars, and well connected to the Genova railway station Parco Principe through the bus and metro.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Room was clean good size. Breakfast was very good, but we thought it was included but was told we booked through bookings .com so it was not included? Have to take their word for it at this stage, will check it out later.
Cons: The shower was tiny and the door was so small I am glad I could get in but many people now days would not. The view was a wall so we kept the roller shutters down, felt like solitary confinement. The lift was about 1mt. square so two cases and two people was a squeeze , lucky we do not suffer from claustrophobia. Trying to even call the lift was a joke as every time on the first day it was full when it arrived ,that means three people. We ended up using the stairs!

Pros: Great service, excellent on site facilities. Very good breakfast included. Close proximity to all downtown shopping and restaurants.
Cons: Noisy. Our room close to street. Steady loud annoying motorbike roaring at all hours. If I ever hear another motorbike, I’ll scream. Everyone from adolescents to octogenarians seem to have them.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The beach, the terrace, the garden... The room was very clean and big. Friendly staff.
Cons: The road is very close to the hotel and thus a bit noisy at times... Very nice hotel, relaxing, but the average age of the clients is 70 years old... ;)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast which was outside. Also air-con very good
Cons: traffic noise when outside the room but quiet when inside with the doors closed.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Metropole is a very efficiently managed family hotel in a superb location close by the promenade of Santa Margherita. It is also not far from the railway station which facilitates travel up and down the coast. The staff are very friendly and accommodating; particularly so when we requested a change of room to one with a bathtub and shower. The public rooms, garden, pool and beach restaurant are all beautifully maintained.
Cons: Nothing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Santa Margherita is just beautiful!!! Hotel Metropole is located in the more upper-scale end of the town and is only 10-15mins walk away from everything you could need - bars, restaurants, shops, etc. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool, gardens, private beach area and beach restaurant. We were fortunate enough to be given a room with a large terrace with sun-loungers overlooking the gardens and sea which was perfect. The rooms are standard hotel rooms and very clean. Beds are comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!
Cons: One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the private beach and it was disappointing the sun-loungers on the beach were an additional daily charge of 15 EURO! While the hotel rates are not as much as the neighboring 5 star hotels, it was not cheap and one would assume the premium for use of the sun-loungers is already included in the rate.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Beach club and the proximity to Santa Margherita.

Pros: Fabulous hotel and staff in a brilliant location. We will be back as soon as we can.

Pros: Location
Cons: On arrival ordered minivan got car

6,7 Good
Cons: rwstaurant a rip off

Pros: The best part is the amazing view of the Liguria. Breakfast on the balcony and relaxing by the pool. The new spa is beautiful, I can’t wait for my next visit!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Very Slow and capped WIFI 15 Eur Paid Parking per day No Ironing boards
6,3 Good
Pros: nice spa area for 24 euro per day per person. well-kept facility, except for the room and balcony. we could access our room 2 hours earlier.
Cons: *welcome at the desk felt chill: the receptionist approached me several times in french which is, as i told her, not my preferred language, because she spoke to two other people at the same time. *check out was annoying: the shower was full of black mold. we did not mention this until check out because we only stayed for two nights. our remark at check out day was impertinently answered with 'you should have said it right away'. that is kind of true, but paying 350 euro per night in a 4 star hotel, there should not be any mold at all. *our room was badly sound proofed: we could hear some american guests shout at each other and slamming doors until 1 am. *the quality of breakfast was not what we expected of a 4 star establishment: there is a rich choice, but the quality is partially horrible (scrambled eggs and sausages). *the free wifi is simply useless due to its slow bandwidth. useful wifi is charged extra. *room and balcony were worn down.
6,7 Good
Pros: View, size of the pool, room, breakfast and reception staff
Cons: Location, not enough shuttles for the nearby town (I am pregnant and I had to walk every day 3km to the closest town and back), pool staff, loud music in the pool bar that people complained all the time about , food and drink selection ( limited breakfast, choice of few dishes for lunch, no nearby restaurants so you simply have to eat what is there even though you don’t like the food), not great value for money really
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best part was the excellent restaurant and the view from it. I would really stay there again. It is really a lovely hotel.
Cons: For some reason Kayak system did not recognize that I did the reservation for 2 adults and a 7 years old child, so when I got at the hotel wasn't aware of the child. Therefore the rate was different and they had to fix the room at the last minute.
5,8 Okay
Cons: Food very average and mega expensive!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and pool
Cons: Not so great service and extra payments for almost everthing such as scrumbled eggs at breakfast
