The old stable now serves as a breakfast room, and the quiet country setting with its panoramic pool makes a relaxed base for touring south-eastern Sicily. The sandy coast lies only a few kilometres away. A terrace, a garden and free parking round out the relaxed country stay among the carob and olive trees. The golden-stone towns of the Val di Noto, rebuilt in Sicilian Baroque style after the 1693 earthquake, rise close by at Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Noto, the chocolate makers of Modica still grind to an old Aztec recipe, and the sandy beaches and nature reserves of the south coast run a short drive away.
