I really liked this hostel. It has a lovely lounge area and is an easy walk to the beach and bus station. I loved the friendly dogs and cats and also helpful staff
You have to see the Posada de las Hadas more as an experience than as a hostel. To be frank, the accomodation is a bit rustic, but cosy. And I believe it is a bit too expensive, but that's the case almost everywhere in Uruguay. But the atmosphere in the Posada is simply amazing! Nice and friendly people from all over the world, having meals together and sharing stories. Owner Cio is an amazing chef and when I was there, there were more people who really knew how to cook. So my advise: Always book the inhouse dinner! And then prepare for a night of great food, beautiful conversations and maybe even playing music altogether. I stayed three nights and all three evenings were nothing short of amazing!
The rooms could be equipped a bit better and have more space.
Very nice host and staff. The shared space (inside and outside) is very comfortable und perfect to have a great time with the other guests, playing music, having dinner together etc.
Small and rather dirty kitchen. Poor breakfast.
Well basicly everything. First of all the reserved room with private bathroom was given away to other people. So we ended up with 2 rooms with shared filthy shower. The whole place is made of thin wooden floors walls ceilings - through which insects eat their way. At night the owner plays his gypsy king-music at screaming loud volume; after asking till what time this was going on he answered that he runs a hostel and not a funerary. Possibly his brain has been affected by all the potsmoking that goes on, treating clients this way. Hotelprice for a noisy basic place with rude owner! O yeah, and the swimmingpool doesn't exist
We have been upgraded to a huge room with beautiful seaviews, we absolutely loved the living area!!! Music instruments, beautiful enviropement, nice breakfast! Owner is very lovely and great chef!:)
