9,2 Excellent
Pros: We upgraded to the luxury sea view room, which has a fabulous view of the bay with a lovely balcony, plus lots of space and nice furnishings. Overall, the property has Interior design features, furniture, views, ambience, WiFi coverage and nice staff.
Cons: The luxury room had a state of the art walk in shower, however the shower head didn’t work properly on different functions, plus there were water draining issues.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Stylish setting and interior, very good beds, quiet neighborhood, short distance to the waterfront.
Cons: In the description it was not evident that the toilette and shower facilities were directly in the room and shared one sliding door. Noise isolation was close to non-existent; at least some milk-glass provided some privacy. More suited for couples than friends..
7,1 Good
Pros: Room design very cool, size of room very big, pool small but nice, comfy pool beds, huge towels
Cons: Location on a road. Quite far from Pula nothing much close by. Bathroom design has some problems, nowhere to put things, glass door - from bed you look directly on WC. No privacy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best boutique hotels I have visited. So many little details that makes you feel like home! We have been offered an upgrade for a fair price, which made our vacation even better.
Cons: The only thing is the toilet door which gives no privacy at all, I would find a way to make it different, the rest is amazing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: fine food, great serving, holiday for eyes
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff
Cons: All good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of the staff, breakfast, location
Cons: Parking spot is on the street
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfasts, very friendly & helpful female staff team. Few problems with shower which weren’t resolved but wasn’t big issue. Interesting, eclectic, boho chic bedrooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely penthouse suite. With Own swimming pool. Balcony overlooking the bay in quiet location. About ten minutes from hectic Pula by taxi. Boats for hire just opposite for as little as 300 kuna for four hours to take your own speedboat and explore the green forested coast line. Exquisite find. Understated luxury. Discrete staff.
Cons: Only missing tea and coffee making in the suite. A minor quibble that would’t stop me allocating it a wonderful 9.9 out of ten.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Awesome breakfast, definitely worth the 20 Euros. Small but great pool. Very modern and with great taste decorated.
Cons: Parking only in front of hotel on the street.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very calm, quiet and reserved hotel but not stuffy or pretentious. Room was large, comfortable with no unnecessary clutter just functional luxury with a large balcony looking out towards the sea in the distance. Lovely quiet neighbourhood you could hear the birds sing in the morning. Small relaxing pool. Although I didn't eat there restaurant looked excellent with high quality menu. 10 min walk to the sea and small marina. Ideal location. Quietly efficient staff very much a family feel. Overall superb place for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
Cons: Being super picky pillows were a bit soft but that's about it!
7,5 Good
Pros: Location was fine. Very clean rooms, decent comfort, nothing to complain there. Breakfast was fine, swimming pool looks better in person than on photos. Bottle of Chardonnay delivered to the room even after midnight, that was good.
Cons: I can't really rate their restaurant fairly as I only had one dinner there, but their shrimps risotto was not quite up to the the standard of let's say better fine dining restaurants in either Pula or Zagreb. Maybe I'll try something else next time. There was one annoyance of receiving a wake up phone call one morning which we clearly did not request. They said you're going to miss breakfast...:) Ok, that was cute, concern appreciated, but maybe the staff is more used to elderly guests who have zero trouble waking up. To make matters more comical, me and my partner were clearly seen ordering a bottle of Chardonnay after midnight. That must have been the sign that waking up early enough for breakfast was not our top priority. Minor complaint on minibar though... Choice of beverages is generally good, but better quality of beer is needed. Karlovačko beer in a minibar of a four star establishment? I think not.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Restaurant also great dir Dinner.
Cons: A bit outside, if you want to visit Pula you need to go by car.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I’m very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. For the price I paid, this was worth every penny and more. Enjoyed our stay 100%.
Cons: We liked everything.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It is a brilliant place to stay for a quiet and cosy visit. Not too far from town when travelling by car/taxi. Rooms were very nice and comfortable, pool side was excellent place to enjoy your time off. And the hotel restaurant for dinner was magnificent, as well as breakfast. I also enjoyed the hospitality and care of the staff, very much indeed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very good food, nice Personal, very good rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel and restaurant first first class service. Highly recommended.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The place is really nice, the staff is excellent. They are very kind and helpful, when we had a trip early in the morning, they packed some lunch for us. Coffee is good, the room was very spacey and clean.
Cons: It seems odd to me that at a place like this there is no lactose free or plant based milk for coffee and sweetener. There is no real fride in the room so if you stay for a week and you have some food allergies that makes hard to store food or drink. The air conditioner always turns on when you leave the room so when you come back you freeze to death with a 22 °C. And the max temperature is 24 °C which is still low a bit.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is about 10 minutes drive to the Roman Amphitheatre, and 10 minutes from a quiet seaside front, with a few bars and restaurants. Also only 15 minutes from the airport with an easy drive. It has its own restaurant which provided first class food at a reasonable price, plus a good buffet breakfast. The rooms were modern and first class.
Cons: Our only disappointment was that they were unable to provide a street map of the area, as they seemed to have run out.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, really relaxed and lovely location. It was nice to be a bit out of Pula but within walking distance of a little beach with a few bars and restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really relaxing small hotel outside pula. First class staff , restaurant very good , good value for money. Small private pool which was never over busy.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely hotel in a quiet woodland setting. The resort, Verudela, is very much a sun-bathing/sitting on the beach/swimming in a pool or sea type of place, but, although, this is not our thing, we enjoyed the location very much. We were always able to take a long walk along the coastal wooded footpaths during the daytime or after dinner. Car hire is essential if you want to explore other parts of beautiful Northern Croatia and even visit, Trieste in Italy, as we did. Despite being late at the hotel from the Ryanair flight to Pula and some unhealthy saved over items from dinner not to our liking at all, the food and choices from the next day onwards were excellent. We started our holiday at the end of August when the hotel was still packed with mostly German guests, but we still managed to find a space on the terrace for dinner. It was a lovely experience as the nights were so warm. A few days later at the beginning of September, the hotel was much less full and more enjoyable from our point of view. The bedrooms were comfortable and modern. We had a superior room with a reasonable-sized balcony on the side of the hotel with a seaview. Don't expect to see too much of the sea, though, as the trees are rather tall!
Cons: Our room was rather narrow and the glass bathroom door was quite hard to slide across and back. It would have been nice to have had some outside settees or comfortable chairs with umbrellas for those who do not want to sit on sunbeds. If guests arrive later than the 7 to 9pm dinner slot and they are on half-board basis, due to no fault of their own i.e. late flight arrival, provision of a nicer, healthier saved dinner - not salty fried breadcrumb nugget and cheese rings!! - would have been nice. We honestly felt we had missed out on one of the meals we had paid for by having no choice!
6,7 Good
Pros: Happy hour at the bar. Very Comfy bed. Friendly bar staff. Always managed to get a sun bed around the pool.
Cons: Very quiet in the evenings, more of a family atmosphere in the local area but that’s personal taste. Service can be slow at times. Pool bar wasn’t open at the specified times. Dirty cups left in room and tea/coffee not replenished when room was cleaned. No usable fridge in the room - it had a minibar but this was sealed.

Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: I can find no criticism.Very good location, clean, staff friendly and efficient.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location with superb amenities and plenty of activity options if wanted. I thorougly enjoyed the sun bathing options, especially by the waters edge and loved that the resort is so family friendly. The staff were very courteous and obliging our thanks to all.
Cons: It would be nice to see more disability aids to help those with mobility issues. I travelled with my parents and although reception organised a chair to be put in the shower and kindly put a mattress on beach beds to help raise the beds. My mother who is reliant on a rollater we knew we would have issues getting her around the complex so we brought our own wheelchair to help her get about. It would have been nice to have had more aids ie grab rails etc in the bathroom. Also to travel from the hotel histeria to shopping area was difficult as it is for push chairs. Not a major contention as this was our 2nd visit we were happy with the facilities but it would have been nice to see the hotel facilities being a bit more disability friendly.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities and sea
Cons: Staff not visible
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort, comfortable bed, good sized room and shower and expresso machine in the room which was a huge bonus. The buffet breakfast was also very good with an amazing selection of food.

Cons: luggage drop is somewhat complex. who knows the button call needed to approach the lobby when someone first come? dinner restaurant in the hotel run by only buffet. i have no choice.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself is fantastic rooms are nicely light and very good air con.its value for money and probaly the best hotel in the area i highly recommend staying here.stay away from the local shop/mini supermarket the prices are shockingly overpriced.
Cons: Reception wasnt very helpful when getting taxis.also Twice at the beach bar on seperate occasions when asking for condiments at the pool bar i was ignored.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very spacious and luxurious rooms with excellent mattress and clean.
Cons: Swimming pool not connected direct with sauna meant had to get changed then unchanged. Outside the principal hotel area all the hotel bars shut at 10pm. No resturant anywhere after 10pm!

Cons: Location - Close to beach, but on a bit more of a seedy part of town Room - Air conditioner not working in 30 degree heat. Impossible to sleep. Apparently need to upgrade to a suite for a working air conditioner?? On main road, so fairly noisy with passing traffic. In the hotel they list themselves as a three star, which is more in line with reality. Definitely not 4 stars.

Pros: Such a beautiful resort, the beach on site is stunning
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Simple, modern, clean furnishings. Superb view from 3rd floor
Cons: Very tight stairwell to get to bed. After 57 steps up to the 3rd floor the final 69th step to my bed was a bit hard in the heat.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern very nice resort Nice view from our room- thank you Big swimming pools, sea view Love it here

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Apartments are amazing. Beautiful beach view. Good programs for kids.
Cons: More facilities in kitchen.
6,7 Good
Pros: The property in general was great with restaurants and shops. The staff was really friendly and supportive.
Cons: The apartment didn't really meet our expectations. I would give it three stars max. It was a quite small room with a kitchenette and a really tiny bathroom. The small beach was always crowded since it was also open to the public. The restaurant/bar at the pool was also crowded and dirty.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location in Verudela park, good walking areas. Free parking for the guests. Nice beach but requires reefshoes. Big and spacy balcony with drying rack. Supermarket on the territory.
Cons: Everything extra (like sunbeds, laundry, umbrellas, aquapark, kids area, etc...) available only for extra price, not included anything. Bathroom utilities are not good - water stays in the shower, flooding the bathroom - had to stop in the showering each 2 minutes. Tap in the kitchen worked poorly. Not enought equipment for cooking - no scissoes, small knives or even filters for coffee machine in it. Loud housekeeping in the morning, around 6-7 am. Lousy soundproofing of the room - heard everything in the corridor. Cold swimming pool.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. A short (and inexpensive) shuttlebus to Pula. The resort had everything we needed and more, an excellent selection of bars, shops and restaurants. The indoor pool and spa were lovely and very reasonable. The room was fully equipped and cleaned regularly. The pools were beautiful. We eat at Olivia pool bar very regularly and food was delicious and very reasonable, as were the drinks. Plenty to do at the resort including an aquarium. Staff were incredibly friendly and could not do enough for you. Check in and out was easy and confusion-free.
Cons: You do have to pay for sun beds around the pool- although very cheap. The pools were a little cold for our liking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It has been the best resort I’ve stayed in, in a long time, we will definitely be back again next year
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice apartments at a great location. Nice atmosphere.
Cons: The apartment kitchens are rather rudimentary.. But this gives you the excellent excuse to go out eat.. local restaurant serve decent food!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Verudela Beach Resort Apartments are fairly basic and are away from the main hub of the resort complex, however being by the sea and set within a tree lined area was really relaxing and very welcome. If your apartment is facing the sea you might only catch glimpses of it through the trees, but it is close by and you certainly feel like you are on holiday. We were two adults and two children (12/17). We had a double bed and double sofa bed) and this worked out just fine. The shower was excellent. The kitchen is basic, with no microwave, no oven and no kettle, no toaster or grill. However there is all the equipment needed for simple meals - three hobs, plates, cutlery, chopping board, pots and pans etc. It worked fine for us. The WIFI worked perfectly for multiple devices the whole time, We paid extra for AIR CON for the week which was actually very reasonable. Our bedding and towels were replaced every two or so days. If you were still in bed they would leave them outside for you which was fine with us. There's a really nice atmosphere around the resort and I can't report any anti-social behaviour whatsoever. It is very child friendly. There are a couple of stunning beaches to enjoy. A small but beatiful one to the right of the apartments is very busy but we had a great day there, and another larger one nearer the complex. If you get there around 8:30-9am you can get a Luxury Sunbed and Umbralla for 150 Kuna a day (no its not free), The main swimming pool is actually more salty than the sea and if you want a sunbed or four, you need to secure one around 8:30 each morning (much more of a battle than I can be bothered with). We ate at the main restaurant twice (excellent) and the restaurant near the villas which was also pretty good (though the toilets were not good). We also ate at the poolside restaurant which was reliably good. All the staff of the hotel and apartments were excellent and without fault. The weather for oyur stay was amazing!
Cons: Some of the pillows were very lumpy. The apartment needs a kettle. A bigger pool area with more sunbeds. In Pula and Croatia as a whole - restaurants are very anti Credit Cards so always have cash for your meals. Always check before you order if you have to pay by card.
7,5 Good
Pros: small apartments with nice terrace with seaside view under the pine trees
Cons: very small apartment, a bit of mould in the bathroom
6,7 Good
Pros: The breakfast selection was excellent, the beaches were wonderful with pebbly beaches, a great place to do snorkelling, easy access to the centre of Pula by bus (only 44 kuna for a family of 4), the Internet was good but we needed to keep typing the username/password so a bit annoying, the staffs were very helpful and friendly (Peter and Anthea).
Cons: The apartment was old, the kitchen only got 3 rings and so close to each other so it was hard to do the cooking, the bathroom was old and dark and the shower doors were rusty, they didn’t give us enough toilet rolls for a family of 4 had to keep calling them to bring more, and the most weird things of all were we had to pay for the AC, We stayed in many hotels but never had to pay AC charge, to use AC we paid extra €5 per night and the last weird thing was we needed to queue for the loungers and umbrella early in the morning (9 am) in order to enjoy the pool and also they charged you 20 Kuna each lounger/umbrella. I think that’s not fair that we had to pay those extras as you had already paid quite expensive stay.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with sea view, but this is not a case for all Appartments, we were lucky. In my opinion older apartments are better located than new ones.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The pool area was very nice overlooking the sea.
Cons: Our apartment was about a 10 minute walk from the pool/ shop/ on-site restaurants. The apartment floors were extremely dirty and had not been washed before we got there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a comfortable room with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The air conditioning was especially welcome & it was nice to sit on the balcony with a distant view of the sea through the trees.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: We asked for moving to the Park Plaza Appartments and the made the moving from the Verudela Beach to the Park Plaza pretty comfortable.
Cons: This was the thrid time we travel to the Verudela Resort. The last two years we stayed always in the Park Plaza Appartments and they were always great. This time, due to overbooking during the summer season, we booked at Verudela Beach Resort. The appartment must be renewed: old furniture, beds uncomfortable, air conditioning (for which you have to pay an extra charge), soap will be given every three days, but do not expect to receive shampoo and a long etc. There was so little space in the room, that my children were bumping their head against all furniture around. I am the opinion, that the Resort should never offer that room for families with little children and (for sure) never rent such an appartment for that high price, Totally overrated if we talk about the Verudela Beach Resort.
6,7 Good
Pros: Everything except the apartment Lucia
Cons: The apartment was with the sea view. Not really much of a view. This particular one was in complex building where apartments from left and right side can see you, hear you and even be on your terrace in every moment. No privacy. The apartment was old and sad. Enormous pillows.
6,7 Good
Cons: the choice of food
7,9 Good
Pros: Stroller accessible for the most part. Some stairs but you could just roll on the dirt/grass alongside. Easy access to beaches. Super amazing staff. Very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Hilly so pushing a stroller could be tiresome plus all the stairs. We also had ants in our apartment. Not much to do for very young kids (ours are both under two) but it’s perfect if your kids are a bit older (maybe 3 or 4 at least)

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly, helpful staff. Location couldn't be better.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and very handy to the bus station and attractions
Cons: All good
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist girl was just awesome, I forgot to ask for your name, thank you for your attention and efforts to make our stay good. The location is just amazing, just round the corner from Arena.
Cons: Breakfast is a disaster. It is better just to cook something than provide guests with poor salad bar and cold food. There are no usb sockets in the rooms.
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff were amenable. The location was good, just a short walk from the centre of town but far enough not to be too noisy.
Cons: The breakfast was limited and basic. Eggs (fried or scrambled) & some hotdogs. Eggs were cold, even at 7am they were not hot! Fruit was fermented & not fresh. Cereal was limited also but I was okay with the muesli.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location was perfect, really close to the city center.
Cons: Room was single, and we book for two persons. WiFi at rooms is really poor, and TV is broken, it isn’t possible to be switched on. Bathroom was smelling a bit badly at morning. Water at shower was not possible to be constantly set at one temperature, changing from hot to cold and otherwise, in a few seconds. Breakfast is officially from 7 till 10am, but at 9am, there was near to nothing at the tables.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: 11m2 room for 2 people with a dog is definitely not suitable for this price. Poor breakfast, TV not working, awful odour coming from the bathroom, filthy fridge with mold inside.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly and a good location. Girls on reception very helpful
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This was a clean and comfortable family hotel very close to the center of Pula. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room was large and appeared recently renovated. We were happy with our choice.

7,1 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: The breakfast and dinner weren't served at the terrace as it used to be, also the dinner was much better the previous 5 years then this time. The breakfast is still OK, but we really missed the terrace which was the best feature in the hotel.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location was good, close to lovely Havajsko beach and a good takeout pizza, bar staff and drinks were brilliant
Cons: Rooms are very outdated, no aircon, strange structure in the bathroom means that shower is very small and cupboard right in front of the toilet, beds weren’t comfy. The rooms were around half the price of anything else in the area and can see why, yes it’s a 2 star place but I’d barely say it’s that. If you could push yourself to pay double at one of the other close hotels on reflection I wish I’d done that.
6,3 Good
Pros: we are counting on a hotel with 2 stars, al room really disappointed us. Hotel restaurant and staff super, location and beach - extremely satisfied, the whole resport looks very pleasant for us for families, the possibility of sports, restaurants, great ice cream. Historic center by car 10min
Cons: bathroom, bed width 150cm,
7,1 Good
Pros: I really liked the location, Forest around, amazing views on the sea.
Cons: Rooms give you a throwback to Tito's time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was super. The surronding of the Hotel is amazing. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room was warm and no air-con.
6,7 Good
Pros: nice and kind personel, very profesional, amazing good and wealthy buffet breakfast, all fresh and tasty,
Cons: not air-conditioned hotel even not reception part, no fridge, or small bar at rooms not good wifi signal old furniture and equipment but still in good condition, let say nice retro style, old bathroom with rooten bath and rooten taps, but nice old tilework, equipment in bathroom was old free but wild parking, who come first...then anywhere u can even between the trees... old and dank carpets in common hotel corridors
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner. Extremely efficient staff. The best location to stay in Pula. Awsome beach with crystal clear and incredible blue water. Breathtaking view from balcony.
Cons: Only missing air conditioning in the room.
7,5 Good
Pros: Clean and pleasant hotel with a friendly staff. Super!
Cons: There is No WIFI connection in the room, unfortunately.
6,7 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. The breakfast was good. Lots of water activities for families looking for fun. The hotel staff was friendly.
Cons: The rooms did not have a/c or a fan, so the rooms get warm and stuffy. If you leave the window open for a breeze at night, then mosquitos get in and I ended up with bites. The wifi did not work and I could not connect to it. Lastly, the lounge chairs along the beach are not free for hotel quests. After about 20 minutes, a waiter came up and asked for 25 Kuna, so I left.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No AC in the rooms, check out time, breakfast times, pool times, no refrigerator in the room
Hotel Veli Jože - Pula - Building

Overview Reviews
Hotel Veli Jože is located in an ancient part of Pula, in a building considered a historical monument from the 19th century. Free WiFi is available in public areas of the hotel, while rooms are air-conditioned, have cable TV, a phone and a desk. The hotel has a café and a restaurant which serves buffet breakfast. The reception is open 24 hours a day. A bus stop is located 100 metres from the hotel. Nearest shop can be reached in a 5-minute walk. The centre of Pula is 1 km away. Ferry Port and Main Bus Station are located in the centre. Pula Airport is 10 km away. Pebbled, rocky and paved beaches and promenades can be found within 1.5 km. Church of Our Lady of the Sea and the old Naval Cemetery are both within walking distance.
7,9 Good
Pros: Located in a fascinating older building. Comfortable beds in a spacious room. Wonderful breakfast in a pleasant space, with friendly but discrete service. A 10-minute walk to the old town and port area. The woman at the reception during check-out was extremely helpful; went out of her way to help me use the computer to check-in for our flight and print out boarding passes.
Cons: We arrived quite late (after 2200); the man at the desk was brusque and not very helpful (not sure if this was a language or a cultural issue, or neither). There was a very bright streetlight directly across from our window, and the curtains did not do a good job of blocking the light (could be solved by hanging the curtains or a shade flush with the windows). The shower fixture was broken off of the wall; no way to secure it and so had to hold it. Should have a computer and printer available for guest use (not only behind the desk). The furnishings were a bit spare, and the building was a bit down at the heels, but this was an ok trade for the historical feel, the location, the breakfast, and the quiet.
7,1 Good
Pros: I read so many mixed reviews about this place. I did not know what to expect. Accommodation is simple but it is decent. So as the breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Location is good. It is within a walking distance to city center and a mall but you’d better take an Uber (or bus) to the bus station. And please keep in mind that there is no elevator in this property so if you have reduced mobility or are traveling with heavy luggage, this might be a hassle.

Pros: Good location, air cond., helpful staff.
Cons: Lack of elevator because of location in old building.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice and quiet
Cons: The staff were rude and charged my friend twice.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It is walking distance from the center.
Cons: Everything was fine... the only think I didn’t like was the fact that I was toooo tired and my room was on he 4th floor without elevator. But it was not their fault :)
4,2 Okay
Pros: That the lady of the reception helped me to carry my luggage to the 4th floor and offered her umbrella to me when it was raining.
Cons: The management never seems to check on the facilities, the room maintenance and how the staff implements atmosphere in that house. A huge building but it looks as if there was no effort to keep it alive.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great and it was very clean. We got quiet room. Air-condition was working fine but it is controlled by reception (they have turned on/off every time I asked them to, there was no problems with that). Continental breakfast was also fine. Reception is working 24h hours.
Cons: At breakfast it was to crowdy because the hotel was fully booked and the breakfast room consists of three small connected rooms. If you are not luck, finding free parking place can be tricky. Bed was to soft and my wife and I were rolling to the middle alt the time.
6,3 Good
Cons: One member of staff was particularly rude. He worked behind the reception desk in the evenings only it seemed. He claimed he needed to keep our passports as it was policy even though I tried to fight for them to be given back. It turns out he was just too lazy to keep in our details into the system. He seemed disinterested in his job and was extremely unfriendly. On top of all this we requested a late check out for 2 pm at €40 extra which was fine with us. He told us we could do this and then we double checked the next morning after breakfast with his colleague who told us we couldn’t. We think he was hoping to pocket the €40 that night from us if we paid him upfront. Ridiculous service and laziness again on his part because he never checked the system to see if anyone else was staying the following day and the room needed to be cleaned early or not.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: very good location. breakfast was simple, but good

7,9 Good
Pros: I stayed here for the second time. Built during the monarchy, the hotel has a very special atmosphere. The breakfast is pleasant, especially because of the large elegant hall. The hotel is located in the city center and most of the staff are friendly.
Cons: Unfortunately, I got a very warm room that couldn't be cooled by the fan. Because of this I didn't sleep well at night. One of the receptionist was quite unfriendly, I asked any specific question, all he answered was "in the city center". And he didn't understand why that didn't help me.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and balcony
Cons: No wifi in bedroom, only in reception, no air conditioning in room but a fan was provided
7,0 Good
Pros: The beautiful façade of this hotel does not match its interior and I would love to see this place in full bloom again. As I walked around its corridors, I couldn’t help but imagine the people and the stories of its heydays and dream of a renovated hotel. So much potential! It belongs to a chain of hotels and I do not understand why money wasn’t invested yet. You know what would be great? To add some historical facts throughout the hotel – I am sure it has plenty and I am sure this is what guests are looking for when they book a room at Hotel Riviera. My room was simple and clean. The desk was fully occupied with one of those old TVs so no room for writing or reading. No AC, just a fan. I got into my room, windows were open and the place was infested with mosquitoes – I killed 4. Hotel provides that electric mosquito repellent (not liquid, the one with the blue stick). I would seriously invest in a net against mosquitoes in the window. Also, if you do not need to be connected 24/7, it should be fine as wi-fi is only available in the lobby. Fine by me but others might find it a nuisance. The location is very good as hotel is close to the city center, the coliseum and the port where the ferries arrive.

Pros: Very clean, fairly spacious room. Free parking behind the hotel. Perfect location to Arena Pula and the old town.
Cons: Room without air conditioning - only had a fan. All parking spaces in front of the hotel are paid. Around the hotel there were a lot of trees, where thousands of birds sat, which made noise all night. Do not put the car under the trees - due to the large number of birds.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Close to the old centre, spacious rooms, 24h reception
Cons: The check in was really unfriendly and we had to pay for our stay in advance when we checked in. No AC in the rooms and ours wasn't cleaned during our stay
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the building are amazing.
Cons: The fan in our room wasn't very good :(
5,1 Okay
Pros: Good staff, good price, and great location.
Cons: No A/C, rooms in poor condition and with a lack of any main facilities (no kettle, no wi-fi, etc). Beds were also VERY hard. Good enough for a night while exploring Pula, and at least the price point is right.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: -there was no air conditioning -there was no WiFi except on floor 1 and the lobby. -the hotel smelt of smoke -the hotel generally was dirty with stains on the carpet. -they left all the windows open in the day so mosquitos were everywhere -it was far too expensive and not worth the money at all. -the lift felt like it was going to break. -breakfast was awful with very little selection and coffee wasn’t included. -staff at breakfast were very grumpy. -the rooms and bathroom were very dated.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely place to stay in, my favourite in Pula. Superbly located, great for centre of town, arena, bus and train stations and the new airport bus stop. Some reviews concentrate on the history of the Riviera and how it has changed, but that's irrelevant if you want an excellent and well located place to stay. I will always choose the Riviera if in Pula. I like the interior of the building a great deal and it's been well preserved. I always like the terrace where one can have breakfast.
Cons: I liked everything, so this is not a question I can answer.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Location and the value
6,7 Good
Pros: Historic hotel
Cons: This hotel has no Air condition .

Pros: Good location of the hotel 150 m from the beach. Good nature surrounded by the hotel. Great dinner and good breakfast. Friendly and polite staff. I had a great rest here.
Cons: Old hotels and needs renovation.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Hotel surroundings are nice. Near to the beach. Trees and hammocks are nice.
Cons: On the second night of my stay, the had a concert on backyard, which was directly below my balcony. doors are old, wooden and while I was traveling for work, I had a concert almost in my room. it was annoying. next morning, on checkout I kindly explained the situation to reception and they said, that they had no idea and it was impossible (like I had an imaginary concert going on last night, and if I was not deaf on my one ear, I would probably not have a sleep. sometimes it saves me), and they added, that it could be the guests who performed professionally :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic but good, really tasty, scrambled eggs were the best I tasted in years. Location very good, just above a nice bay were you can go for a swim if you like rocky beaches, there is also a pebble beach. Even more important is that one can take a nice long walk by the sea and enjoy the beautiful nature.
Cons: Needs renovation but that unfortunately that is the problem with many hotels built in that period.

Pros: The staff was very helpful!
Cons: The carpet was old and unhelthy! It smelled smoke all the way! I could not breathe!

Pros: The location was nice. 2 mins away from the nice beach.
