It was a great fun experience. Very different from traditional hotel. Accommodation was a little sneezy but that's part of the experience. Tony at reception was excellent. And the location was great - easy access to everywhere.
The botel,is centrally located and within walking distance of many venues. The hop on hop off is just a 4 block walk. Parking was adjacent to the botel and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and helpful and multilingual so communications was very easy. Boats come by at all hours and we thought that was fun.
The facility was booked for wedding receptions two of the four nights we stayed which meant we could not use the restaurant or bar and gathering space in the front by the desk was crowded. One evening kids were running the halls from the reception area and another guest yelled at them to stop and staff took it from there.
The uniqueness, the location, the restaurant (both dinner & breakfast) and the free parking.
The mattress was a little hard, but didn’t keep me from sleeping.
The breakfast was displayed well and the nautical surroundings beautiful of set tables in the traditional way. I didn't order a vegetarian breakfast but I am sure that special diets can be catered for. The range of local cheeses was good plus fresh fruit (not tined) available. The range of packaged teas was excellent and a variety of coffee. hot chocolate from the machine took some people time to understand. In the evening the bar staff were attentive serving drinks with care and interest after we came back from the centre of Prague. The Botel is an excellent quiet location but within easy walking distance (or tram friendly) of the main attractions which could be noisy at night!
The rooms were clean and basic with two single beds that can be put together. There was good lighting but if the beds were put together the lights would be out of arms reach! The bathroom was small but spacious for a boat. The towels and room were cleaned daily with the towels changed.
Tony the concierge is very helpful and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the city. A real asset to the hotel.
