The service at The Nines is fantastic. Valet parking, check-in, check-out, in-room dining and bell service personnel are wonderful. In fact, when you push any button on the phone in your room, whoever you talk to will know the answers to any questions you ask, and they’ll take care of anything you need without hassle or hesitation. Want to be treated well? Stay at The Nines in Portland.

Cons (-) In-room fridge broken, locked out of room for an hour (had to go back and forth to the front desk 4 times before manager concluded that lock needed to be changed, provided with credit for restaurant which was a plus), long wait times for elevator, had higher expectations for a pricey luxury hotel

Pros (+) There is no pool at this hotel. It's a good hotel but I certainly wouldn't categorize it as a 5 star. You'd expect better room equipments and facilities. I haven't ever seen a 5 star hotel with no pool. Also parking is very expensive. $47/night is very expensive especially for weekend and holiday stays. I recommend to park at street.

Pros (+) The location and restaurants are Portland favorites. You won't beat either place.
Cons (-) However, for the price, the rooms were underwhelming. Not great beds, the rooms are small, there was no bathtub, and there were no curtains to block out all the street light (also the sounds from outside were pretty loud).
