The room size was nice, good location, great value for the price.
The shower head was awful, the hallways smelled and the walls were super thin.
The Value Inn is consistently the most affordable location in downtown Portland. The facility is dated, but clean and well maintained. Bear in mind this is a budget hotel. There isn't an elevator, and the halls are narrow. There is a refrigerator and coffee pot, along with a nice television. Power outlets are plentiful. The location is ideal for overnighting for a show, a few minutes walk to the Keller, and 10-minutes to the Schnitzer and Pioneer square. There is streetcar and Max rails around the property for fast access around town. We prefer west-end third floor street-side. For a quieter stay with less people-watching, ask for a rear-facing room. There is a convenient restaurant / bar under the east end serving to 11:00 and pouring until... Week-ends can be a little loud. Arrive early to claim one of the dozen or so free, skinny parking slots in the basement. Never a resort fee here!
Good location. Nice people. Wish it had breakfast
The only thing semi good about it is the location.
Perfect comfy lodging near PSU, especially for longer term stay, like a week or more.
