Absolutely superb all round
The room was nice comfortable bed as a returning guest I noticed the difference of my expectations although it was a Sunday so lunch time was busy plus a party for a birthday they are renowned for weddings from what I could see I don't I'm sorry its negative I've given them excellent reviews on Trip advisor
I thought breakfast was included was told if I book it with them it is included at £14.95 the continental breakfast not as good less fresh fruit & less selection of bread even the jug of orange wasn;t fresh orange more like squash thee coffee was normally in a cafetiere now just a jug I've stayed there many times thought it was my favorite hotel to many cutbacks less choice on dinner menu no duvets on the bed the duvets in the cupboard had no covers d I've stayed there many times my expectations & bringing friend with me normally the continental breakfast was a long table in the hall & had a fl range yogurt really runny I go to Plymouth to see friends & relation sally went to the Elfordleigh I was told it was booking com who didn't include breakfast I've booked with book com on other stays they did remember me as my last visit was for 3 days & the relaxation helped a illness into remission standards have really slipped the bed was comfortable. I also think they have less staff The room was nice comfortable bed the bathroom freezing cold the radiator not switched on
Lovely 16th century Manor House and grounds Dinner was really nice Friendly staff
Small bathroom Our room was at the top in the eves and a little cramped Not enough staff in the bar and restaurant
Setting good breakfast good evening meal spartan Bar good though undermanned
The room almost required A health & safety notice.Ceilings at impossible low angles in both bedroom and bathroom My partner is only 5ft3jn and she also banged her head. If they must let this room a warning should issued.. also it was a maize of stairs to get to. As both of us are over 70 it was no joking matter with the luggage as well
Classic room, bed was extremely comfortable. Slept very well indeed. Hotel was spotless and full of character. Breakfast room was beautiful, sun in the morning.
Breakfast a little expensive. B&b in the price maybe.
