Pros: I have never been to a better hotel.
Cons: I have back problems, so the bed wasn't for me, but that does not mean it wasn't a great bed.

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Little confusing getting to the property.

Pros: Very quaint and a wonderful breakfast. Wonderful Inn keeper!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location and how kid friendly the property was. Great host and comfortable room.
7,5 Good
Pros: The ambience was excellent, we loved our room, the beds were conformable. Would have stayed longer if planes allowed.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing. We arrived right on time, but the main table was already seated and there was no room for our party. We took a small table and waited for service. We waited 15 minutes before the host appeared. We were served the main dish but no side dishes, no fruit, no rolls, nothing to drink, about half the meal that we saw on the main table. Two others arrived after us. They took a third table and had to wait for a main dish. We heard them return their dishes because the eggs were raw. We didn't complain because we were packed and ready to go.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location was nice, quiet, walking distance to downtown
Cons: The king size mattress was old, a 4 inch foam topper doesn't fix that. Need new bed.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location was good and breakfast was very good ! Loved the dog?
Cons: Shower was a little difficult. Could use some new towels.
7,1 Good
Pros: The owner was extremely congenial and informative on history of house and area. He was attentive and his family really ensured guests had privacy. Breakfast was lovely and substantial. Bathroom was big. Enjoyed the charm and history. Nice to have a couple outside sitting areas. Very easy location to old town and really couldn't hear hwy 50. I just wanted to love the place!
Cons: As charming as the house is, it has refresh opportunity. Appeared some rooms had been refreshed, but our room had not. I'm sure it's next to be done! Window shades torn and yellowed. Rugs on floor needed good washing. Mattress was dented. It did have a topper which helped, but left side uneven and I rolled off bed. Trundle bed sank in middle when sat upon. Many spiders and cobwebs. Wall paper peeling from wall. The other rooms appeared in much better condition. The front parlor and dining room were pleasant.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This place was so beautiful. Historic and a great property.
Cons: Our bed seemed old and was not comfy/cozy. We slept, but with a bit of a back ache
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious even though we did not get scones.
Cons: The bathroom needed more lights. Old eyes have difficulty in applying makeup in dimly lit rooms.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful! The hospitality by innkeepers was lovely. The breakfast was outstanding!
Cons: The shower curtain cuts off part of the shower.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Air conditioning worked great; room was clean and odor-free; staff was very nice.
Cons: The location is not bad, but pretty far from downtown.
7,9 Good
Pros: I have stayed here a few times and it is a good place if you just need a place to crash. No frills, cheaply furnished, but clean and pretty comfortable. My biggest problem with it is the freeway noise. Also the bathroom doorknob is installed wrong and almost locked me in twice. Other than that, the location is good and the staff is friendly. I didn’t like that they wanted to take an additional $50.00 signed credit card deposit in case of damages. They didn’t run the transaction, but I still though it was unnecessary.
Cons: Freeway noise
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location and affordable. I was by myself and basically just needed a bed and bathroom.

6,0 Good
Pros: It is definitely a historic property with easy access to the old town Placerville
Cons: The hotel was definitely showing it's age. The furniture had finish issues (large areas of water damage, etc.). Extremely small bathroom but functional. Smoke detector had fallen off the wall and was set on a table. Just lacked a bit of attention.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The old hotel with modern conveniences was really well done....
Cons: People standing outside the bar across the street being very loud. Not the hotel's fault. Neither was the 2am punk skateboarders making excessive noise.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The street away from this place
Cons: For my window was a big machine it was working the hole night and day. It was terrible noisy.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location of this place is fantastic, right downtown, close to wineries. It is a little loud at night on the weekend but I expected that. Just do not expect silence when you are trying to sleep. The ambiance and history of the place are prett
Cons: The desk personnel lacked any personality at all. They were not friendly and generally unhelpful.
1,0 Poor
Pros: I liked the historic charm.
Cons: I did not like the fact that we got no sleep because of noise inside and outside the hotel! There was a strip club being run out of conf room and bathrooms There was no air conditioning so we had to leave window open. Asked for a fan but never got it
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel architecture, friendly & efficient staff, the location. Wish i could've spent more time there.
Cons: Nothing really, a little tired & sockets, lighting etc not 100% but it's old so expected. The character of the place & the location was amazing.
6,0 Good
Pros: The history of the hotel is overwhelmingly obvious. Not in a bad way, but after reading some of it you can understand why some things are the way they are. Great location.
Cons: Eh - got confirmation that we were getting a deluxe queen suite, but we actually got a room with a full sized bed at best. The lock to the bathroom didn't work, and the heater was loud. also i didnt see any ghosts. Next time.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: It's rich history.
Cons: Beds really uncomfortable.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and if you are lucky you might even see a ghost
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the history and lobby of the hotel. Also the friendly staff.
Cons: The beds weren't the best. We'd reserved a 2 bdrm suite with queen beds. The hotel hadn't been told and the rooms we checked into each had only a double bed. The hotel moved us the 2nd night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location Abdul history
Cons: Cleaning staff not very thorough
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful old hotel. The lobby was amazingly decorated. The room and bed were very comfortable.
Cons: Unfortunately, the hotel has either heat or cooling and we visited as the temperatures began to drop and the heat was not yet available. Fortunately, there were extra blankets.

Cons: Towels were dirty and room smelled weird.

Pros: Agent wouldn't let us change to king room. Sheets were dirty housekeeping staff changed right away. Room was very noisy, for some reason management thought it would be a good idea to install hardwood floors in second floor. Door wouldn't close securel

3,8 Mediocre
Cons: We were not informed that the office was under construction and had to get our keys, ice, at another location. Rude and accused us of having a dog?!?! At check out. Not enough towels and only lukewarm water in the shower. Never stay here again; I run an AirBnb and charge half the price and treat guests like royalty. Pool was green and unusable. Money grubbing owners :(
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Motel was nice but under heavy duty remodeling and really dusty. Also, we had a red flag fire day so the power was shut off to the entire area of Placerville and the surrounding area. Otherwise, the room was nice and bed was comfy. Also, the scenery around it is gorgeous.
Cons: several problems that were no fault of the motel.
9,0 Excellent
Cons: Parking, not much room to get in and out.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, even the pool. Old furniture and in our two-bed room, there was no table, which we really needed, but the room was too small to fit one. I would stay there again for a night.
5,0 Okay
Cons: Front desk girl was extremely rude when I called and asked how the shower dial worked. Yes, a dumb question but still valid; I was unfamiliar with the control.
7,1 Good
Pros: Pool was nice but there are construction workers and their families here that have clearly made themselves at home
Cons: No prior notice about the construction or lack of an office on site. Luckily I knew the area a bit to find where I needed to pick up my key.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Hotel tried to say I broke a curtain by ripping it off the wall. I only closed it once and it was still up when I checked out. Never staying here again.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was fine.
Cons: Strange shaped room, no bathroom exhaust fan, construction on the property, noisy trucks early in the morning. Coffee maker in room was weak at best.
2,9 Mediocre
Cons: Not enough parking, very noisy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good Location
Cons: PG&E electricity was off when we arrived. That was bad. We were given the option to cancel reservation. Decided to risk a difficult weekend without electricity. Fortunately the power was restored and we had an excellent stay.
6,3 Good
Pros: The room was very clean, bathroom looked new, towels new, shower large with great shower head and pressure. The motel is right off the freeway, we did not have any freeway noise. The Motel was packed by morning, we were not disturbed at all by noise from the other guests.
Cons: Little things like, No Ice machine, bathroom door would not close, only 1 pack of coffee, shower dripped all night. None of these things were a big deal. Until Check out, see full comment below. The HUGE COMPLAINT is about the owners/managers. I was specific upon check in not to charge my card as my disabled Mother in the truck will be paying at check out, its to hard for her to get in and out of a vehicle frequently. The property we were staying at next door was down a hill. Normally, hotels/motels keep a card number in case any issues come up, so at the time I really didn't thing this was a problem. Upon check out, when I went to hand the man at the counter cash, he said they had charged my card plus a hefty deposit, but I could get my deposit back, I reiterated my card was not to be charged, he then wanted to charge me $7. to have the charges reversed. (I was not charged the $7.) Meanwhile he was arguing that "EVERYONE PAYS" (I had cash in my hand!) Finally he did reverse the charges but it was Sunday so my bank didn't process the credit until late Monday night. It's a good thing we had cash for gas and food or we would have been stuck on the road with a disabled senior citizen that was only up in the area in the first place for a Celebration of Life for a family member. I should mention I was very professional in my tone and body language. I mentioned the above minor issues, that my Mom had kindly taken the time to write down for them. Even so he said I need to be not so negative, I should be positive, he appeared really upset, angry. No apology, and taking no responsibility for any issues. You would think a proprietor would want to know if the shower leaked! In fact the owner/manager said if I wanted to pay $200. down the hill then to expect all of the above amenities. Not to expect a motel to provide them, they are just complimentary and don't have to be provided.
5,0 Okay
Pros: the old in need of repair neon sign
Cons: the bed the bed spread the sheets the towels the soap i love sentence fragments and run-ons sometimes I spell the hyphen

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Flat screen television
Cons: No hanger rack for clothes
4,0 Okay
Cons: The lady that runs the hotel is very rude. She screamed at me and treated me like I was scum. The man that is there in the morning was nice, but they are obviously not on the same page.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I love this place. No bells or whistles but very clean and quiet
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The privacy was marvelous. The fact there were no children running around and just being themselves. God is good
Cons: head fell off the first time I touched it. The water pipe from the wall had threading, however, the shower head had not one ioda of shredding. Oops!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The first bunch of reviews said the motel was an okay place to stay, but when I went back online to check if the power was on, there were some bad reviews. I was happy to find that the motel was a good place to stay. The front desk lady is very helpful and pleasant. It is an older motel that has been remodeled. Our room was clean, and had all the amenities I expected. The room was small, like a lot of older motels, which was fine with us. The television had more stations than we get at home, there are places to park a pick-up, and while it is close to the freeway, there wasn't much traffic noise.
Cons: I don't have anything negative to add. The room exceeded my expectations. I would recommend breakfast at the Waffle. I thought Placerville would be more of a historic mining town, but it really wasn't.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: no breakfast served.
Cons: it was fine for a one night stay travelling.
4,0 Okay
Pros: I’ve stayed here a couple times before and it is close to our vacation spot. It is quiet and can be found at a great price. It has fridge, microwave, WiFi, good water pressure and tv. Parking is set up well.
Cons: This year we received a room that had lights that needed replacing, no tv remote (they did get us one but you had to get up to manually change several things). The toilet paper roll holder was no where to be found... it wasn’t as kept up as in previous stays. But still it was clean and served our purpose.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything. The rooms were small and outdated. You could tell all the stuff was bought cheap because it was falling apart. The bathroom especially.
6,0 Good
Pros: Basic lodging along Highway 50. Pleasant place and quiet.
Cons: When I arrived to check in at 3:00p, the room was not ready. The front desk clerk was not friendly. I was told it would not be ready for over an hour. But I waited in car and it was ready in about 20 minutes.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location was ok Least expensive accomodations in the area
Cons: I had a very horrible interaction with staff over the phone when attempting to conform booking and location of the lodge. The staff person became irate for no good reason, and caused me have to end the conversation. It prompted me to request cancellation. Because it was a last minute booking I was unable to do so without losing my full deposit. No choice keeping the room which was very small and clean but overall slightly sketchy feel which could have been overlooked if not for the rude owners/staff!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It is a quaint little motor lodge. The room was good, with flat screen TV, coffee pot and refridgerator.
Cons: Well, the pool was invisible. And the dumpster was two doors down, full and smelly.
7,1 Good
Pros: The shower
