Overview Reviews
Located on Phu Quoc Island, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc, member of the MGallery collection, boasts a style reminiscent of a French seaside mansion.Set in tropical gardens on a beautiful stretch of beach, the resort boasts evocative design comprising a richblend of dark woods, fine linens and mosaic tiles, complemented by large terraces with sweeping views. In addition to 70 rooms with private balconies, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc features two restaurants,a lounge bar, swimming pool, water sports and day spa
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The premises are deliciously quaint with remarkable grounds very well kept and most attentive and professional staff. The Spa is worth the detour where the atmosphere adds charm to our pampering. The free airport transfers are a most-appreciated delicate attention.
Cons: I would only recommend that guests be provided with an easy-to-read card for taxis indicating --in Vietnamese-- the exact location and providing a map. Such would avoid difficult discussions with drivers hardly English-speaking and not always aware of addresses.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with a nice beach and beautiful gardens. Staff can't do enough to help you. In a good location near to town and surrounded by bars and restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The most friendly and helpful staff you could ever wish to meet.

Chen Sea Resort & Spa - Phu Quoc - Bedroom

9,1 Excellent (1 167 reviews)

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a ferry terminal shuttle.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was beautiful and the buildings charming, yet modern. The staff was exceptional and made sure that the guests' needs were attended to. The beach was very clean and there was plenty of space on the beach to relax or do some activities like kayak or paddle board. The infinity pool was great as well. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, there isn't a reason to leave the resort! Breakfast buffet was delicious and had good variety. The outdoor bathtub was great for relaxing in the evening and the outdoor shower was exquisite. We had a wonderful stay.
Cons: The bungalows have two units separated by a double door and some sound leaks through, especially if your neighbor has a shrill phone alarm that they don't turn off until you politely bang on the door. There really isn't much within walking distance as far as restaurants go. Though there are bikes available for free, I wouldn't feel great about biking around at night with no lights (wouldn't be seen well). The hotel restaurant is very good, but priced accordingly.
7,1 Good
Pros: The sport activities, the room, the facilities, the way care is given through out the day.
Cons: We stayed in villa for 7 nights in Chen Sea. We didnt like the food. It lacks depth, variety, and has uneven quality. The menu is ok for 2 days eating, but starting from day 3 we ran out of choices. Pasta and Pizza were a big part of the menu but these dishes were WAY below average. We find our taste buds jump with joy when it comes to Vietnamese dishes. Imagin having typical exciting contrasting fresh and aromatic taste of Vietnamese flavours in hot days while chilling at the beaches.. but sadly the choice is too limited. Unless the menu and quality of cooking change, we will not come back. We choose beaches in Vietnam and not other countries for a very important reason during holiday: amazing healthy tasty fresh food. We feel blessed with the sea and the facilities of the resort. But whenever we order food, its so hard to enjoy, we have to try to be positive. Which is sad, we are on holidays, not work. Breakfast menu is the same every day. After 2 days we became very unmotivated and saddened when it come to breakfast, actually any meals or snacks in Chen Sea. We booked the villa for the reason that in the advertisement it has big garden, so our toddler can safely run around. But when we arrived and checked in the room, we realised it has no garden, just a very small part of grass next to the pool which is not so convenient for toddler running around. We thought the photo tricked us and laughed about it, until later we realised the villa we were given were the only one without garden. Every other villa has big garden just like the advertisement. The good thing is when we notify the resort, they arraged for us to move next day to a big garden villa.

Pros: Stunning location, great attention to detail, stunning rooms and great food
Cons: Nothing I can think of
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fantastic. We never left the resort.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 4 days in Chen Sea resort and Spa. We were absolutely amazed and had one of the best days. At the end we decided to have little weding ceremony with my fiance, we spoke to manager Khai and he totaly fulfilled our expectations. He was very kind and all employees were so nice. Stunning place, delicious breakfasts, nothing to reproach. Tereza, Tomas, Krystof, Veronika. Greetings from Prague!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good - better than a standard hotel buffet breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The place was amazing. It was not crowded, good if you just want to relax and enjoy the view at the pool and at the beach ! All staff was friendly especially the activity manager (Mr.Janna-if im not wrong) altho we didn't try any of the watersports activities :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very well designed resort. Nice infinity pool, clean beach, spacious room. You can rent a kayak, paddle board, etc. for free. Whole resort is very well maintained. Close to the city, taxi costs about 7 USD.
Cons: Definitely the restaurant. Breakfast was OK, but rest of the food was simply bad. There is just no passion, no taste in the food. If you want a proper food, you have to go to the city.
Mango Bay Resort - Phu Quoc - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Mango Bay Resort in Phu Quoc, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Phu Quoc Night Market and Ong Lang Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The food was wonderful and the staff incredible. The location is unbelievably beautiful.
Cons: This place doesn’t have a/c or a pool, but that’s part of the point and it’s unique beauty. It has the best beach so there’s no need for a pool and the eco cabins make it a very special experience, but in terms of comfort, this place isn’t for everyone. We loved it, but we weren’t looking more for a unique experience than for the lap of luxury.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: we love the beach, children played in it all day!
Cons: nothing bad, recommend to keep on working on the menu for healthy and vegetarian options for breakfast lunch and dinner
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is top notch. We discovered the Sandy beach on the second day, and it was one of the nicest we have been to. The staff were helpful, and always pleasant to us. Very good. We can’t fault the service here. Food at both restaurants was not cheap, but generally good quality. Breakfast was good and included (so it should be for the price).
Cons: For a family we did not think the price reflected value for money. It was the most expensive place we stayed at, and generally the prices for most food and beverages almost matched what we would pay at home. We ate and drank mainly in the local cafes because of this. Our room was furtherest from reception and the sandy beach. We had no bar fridge (ice chest only), and the a/c was ok, although one of the units was below par. I get that the resort is pushing the “eco” side of things, but for basic bungalow accommodation for a family, at almost $300AUD per night, it’s too expensive. And no swimming pool for the kids. An pool sharing arrangement with the resort next door would be a good idea.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved pretty much everything! So relaxing and great attention to detail. Sunsets from both restaurants were wonderful. The private thatched roof bungalow with sea views was so charming and we loved sitting on our private porch. The staff was so friendly and thoughtful-top notch. The location is secluded on a beautiful beach yet a short walk to restaurants and shops. Paddle boards and kayaks are free to use and free daily yoga! Food was delicious and the Lychee cilantro cocktail was fantastic! The cooling system for the bed was amazing— what an awesome eco friendly alternative to air conditioning! We will be back for sure!
Cons: A pool would be nice— but the ocean was so lovely to swim in I did not miss a pool as much as I thought I would. Would be nice to have less expensive bar menu available as an option. Room could have better lighting— it was a bit dark.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: could not fault it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful natural location which has been carefully designed not to impact the environment too much. Peaceful with everything you need. Food excellent in both restaurants with staff providing perfect balance of friendliness and efficiency.
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Mango Bay Resort is a wonderful and romantic place. We stayed in a bungalow with a beautiful view, comfy bed and our own gecko. Mind you, it's a very 'natural' place - the shower and the toilet are outside (totally private, of course!) which means you get to meet geckos and frogs from time to time :) Restaurant food was amazing!
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Loved the laid back, rustic character of this place. The resort restaurant was very good -- food and ambiance (deck right on the oceanfront).

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available on request).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great resort with lovely beach, infinity pool and seaside restaurant (reasonably priced). Rooms are very spacious with similarly large beds and an open-air bathroom. After a week and a half of sightseeing in Cambodia and Vietnam, the was the perfect place to recharge batteries.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The beach is very nice and it feels so relaxing without too many people. The whole area is quiet and there are small cottages and no big hotel. At night you hear the insects outside, which gives you the feeling you are in the middle of the jungle. Our bungalow was nice, quite big, I liked the outside bathroom. Also great pool area and restaurant by the beach.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: View, beach,pool, area,staff,Village/location
Cons: Water pressure to low
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was awful! Perfect cocation. Reception, the superviser, all manager are very nice and kind.
Cons: 30 euro per day for a kid (with an extra bed) is too much...(
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This resort is so much more then a place to stay: it is the perfect combination between luxury and coziness. The location is fantastic, you’re in no time (on a motorbike) in town, but the question is if you really want to go there because this place has it all. Fantastic clean bungalows (the outside shower is so clever and cool!), great food and most of all: great staff. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The manager is there for you in good and bad times (the latter we have not experienced but still). We would highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it :)
Cons: Nothing!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We spent a lot of time researching the different beaches on Phu Quoc and decided to give Long Beach a miss as we were worried it would be too busy and polluted so we went for Ong Lang beach and the Eco Beach resort. The resort is lovely. The section of beach that belongs to the resort was clean. The breakfast was good with a wide selection of food. We ate dinner at the resort only once and it was fine but overpriced. We tended to eat outside of the resort for lunch or dinner as did most of the other guests. The resort is on a road in the forest which connects all the different resorts and this road has lots of restaurants and shops. We ate some great meals there and stocked up on beer and water so there is no need to pay the resort price. The staff at the resort were very friendly and smiley.
Cons: It is not really the resort's fault, but it is sad that you cannot walk along Ong Lang Beach. It seems that every resort has sectioned off its own bit of beach. I had hoped for a beach front where you can walk along the beach and experience different beach bars and restaurants.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful place, good breakfast, location is great, can easily access more places for dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed our stay here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place. Eco friendly. Great staff. Great food and massage.
Cons: Everything perfect
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The location... The food... The staff... The accommodation...
Cons: Perhaps some netting could be placed between the wall and roof of the outdoor bathrooms to prevent insects from getting in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - The beach is really clean and taken care of - The massage is really relaxing, we had it just with sunset (due to 20% discount the price was ok) - the pool is great and clean - the bathroom is connected to nature, we had our personal pet a frog :-). A small part is like a little garden. - airport pick-up is included in certain hours - the staff is really lovely and did everything to make our stay really perfect
Cons: Nothing
Mai House Resort - Phu Quoc - Bedroom

8,8 Excellent (149 reviews)

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Mai House Resort is the best on the island!! The facilities, beautiful bungalows, dining area with stunning views and amazing food, section of beach the best of Long Beach, staff are so friendly and helpful. All round the best place on the island and value for money.
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great.
Cons: The location was a little further from downtown than I had expected. It was also down a long, windy street with lots of stores and resorts. Very hard to find. The path immediately before entering the property was dark and slippery.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazingly picturesque. Quaint chalets, lovely infinity pool facing the beach, established gardens. The restaurant provides beautiful food and cocktails. There is a spa/massage facility where you can get all types off massage for a reasonable price. The staff are very helpful. The front desk can arrange practically anything for you and they hire scooters which I only found out after going somewhere else. If you are wanting a good quiet break this is the place to go. The sand is a golden colour and you can swim in the sea.
Cons: Looking out the window and seeing rubbish in the stream. Such a beautiful location. Would be great to see it looked after.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff
Cons: Paid for room with seaview and pool view but was given one that is not. Please be honest. Attached photo - view from balcony of room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing! Staff were wonderful, place was beautiful. Excellent attention to detail (fresh pool towels brought every morning, mosquito repellent lit every evening at sunset). Couldn't have been happier!
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff were great, they couldn't have been more helpful. The pool was great! The bed was extra comfy.
Cons: The beach directly out the front was clean, but the beach in general was dirty with rubbish. Outfall drains run into the water. I did not swim in the sea, but others did.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Best beach in Phu quoc . Amazing sunsets and nice pool. Very good staff
Cons: The rooms had moulds growing. Lizard and insects in the room. Breakfast was average .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We visited here in low season. At one stage during our stay we were the only guests. This did not change the way the staff were with us. The place was spotless. The bed very comfortable and had mosquito nets. The breakfast and all meals we had were delicious and it is not expensive. We walked the length of the beach and Mai House was the cleanest most natural looking place. The beach beautifully clean here and the pool was fantastic. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Nothing at all
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A nice breakfast with smiling staff ready to assist. The breakfast group were great, and Yen, the night restaurant manager, was excellent. They are close to shops, restaurants, plus you can easily rent a scooter. Some other hotels are too far removed.
Cons: Very filthy beach water. This is unfortunately a big Phu Quoc problem, but not at all the hotel's fault. No TV in room, but that's a personal preference.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely wonderful hotel, staff, beach, location...I believe is the best north Long beach hotel
Cons: a bit noisy as they are building some more bungalows
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Traditional cottage style accommodation with comfy beds. Clean beach with with plenty of sun loungers. Lovely new pool overlooking the sea. Very helpful staff especially Vui and Jerry from breakfast and Albert from reception. Breakfast was lovely with good choice of Vietnamese and European food. Ideal resort if you don’t want any entertainment during the day or evening. Perfect for us!
Cons: Non hotel guests were trying to use sun loungers and facilities all the time. Some building work was underway which was only minimal disruptive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: breathtaking view from the pool to the beaches, while walking along the beach, best resort in the first sight walking distance to centre, restaurants, shops.
Cons: everything was really very nice, I have nothing negative I could mention
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The resort is located on the best part of the beach and is very beautiful. Very good breakfast, great room, great location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing. The staff always friendly and smiling. The location was incredible, right on the beach with incredible sunsets. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar was reasonable, and food very tasty. And amazing value for the money. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, totally recommend this hotel. Brilliant.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Could not recommend this resort more! Beautiful resort and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We have never experienced such amazing customer service. Great location, only a few minute taxi to the main town. Walking along Long Beach, Thanh Kieu was by far a standout. Our only regret was not booking longer! Thank you to the staff for our amazing holiday.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome Location, friendly staff, beautiful Beach and pool
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The resort is directly located at a nice beach, the staff is super, super nice and kind
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning, the hotel it's surrounding by nature, clean and comfortable. Amazing place to stay and find peace and relax
Cons: The only issue was the picking up in the airport, they forgot our arrival but it was compensated as they gave us a free drop off to the airport
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very nice, right on the beach. They provide beach towels and sunbeds. Good breakfast.
Cons: There is absolute no soundproof on the room. We heard the kids screaming on the next bungalow as if they were staying in same room with us. This was no surprise considering that were large gaps between the doors and the floor. In the first morning we were woke up by noises by constructors working to another bungalow. The opened bathroom is nice, but should have a mosquito net install, in order to avoid all kind of insects and even lizards getting into the room. Each night we had mosquito hunting sessions.

Pros: Quiet and right on the beach, close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast is also good
Cons: A/C wasn’t working properly and wi-fi was very slow in the evenings
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Simple rustic little bungalows set around a garden, leading straight into the beach, complimentary beach towels and sun beds. We had the little upper story beach facing room with a balcony overlooking the beach.......perfect for watching the sunset. Breakfast was excellent with the bread being baked onsite by the resident french baker..........and his lemon tart was just superb! Staff are friendly and helpful, arranged a scooter for us and gave us hints and tips for getting around. Good selection of restaurants and bars vary close by, would definitely return here.
Cons: Water pressure not brilliant but water was always very hot.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff really kind , perfect location, calm, good food
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, very good staff
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very good locality. Close to the airport and close to the town. Many nice restaurants nearby. International guests of the resorts - not just from one country. Good breakfast, full of fresh fruits or juices. Very kind personnel. Suitable for families with small children. Standard room, and bathroom - but adequate to the price. Often change of towels.
Cons: - Very disappointed by the fact of on top surcharges if you pay accommodation by credit card. Based on my experience when travelling in Vietnam it was an exception - no other such a negative experience in various visited hotels (resorts) so far. We complained directly to the owner of the resorts but without any effect. - Too many Russians on the beach from nearby resorts. No additional comments to this point needed:-)
7,5 Good
Pros: The location and silence.
Cons: Furniture old and broken. Not provided even drinking water in room, not talking about coffee and tea.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location not far from the main town close to plenty of places to eat - planty of fresh seafood. Kim was a great host and was always ready to help. She arranged for a Taxi to take us out to see all the sights in the south of the island - fabulous day out. Breakfast was great and we were able to eat it at our beach front bungalow. Sunsets were amazing directly in front of us. Beach was clean and the sea was warm, shallow and crystal clear.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good french croissants. Cosy beach front.

Pros: We were living in the house right on the beach and the view was stunning. Everything was like in paradise.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The beach is small, but really nice. Design of the place it’s great, greenery around villas is really beautiful, pool is fantastic. Great calue for money.
Cons: It’s not a new place and you can see that rooms are used a bit. Sanitary instalations are not working and fter your shower water is around all bathroom, there was some mold at the wall. Still It’s a place worth to stay.
6,7 Good
Pros: We were upgraded and the room was fabulous with a lovely sea view but seriously expensive if paying full price, great hot shower, good WiFi, lovely pool.
Cons: The sea was dirty and murky ... is it sewage pipes pumping into it? it looked like it but I don’t know. Maintenance being carried out all over, toxic varnish spraying going on and loud grinding carried out on balcony furniture from 8am. Miserable reception staff wouldn’t acknowledge you unless you were Russian!! Rubbish around grounds not cleared for days and breakfast was rubbish!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great breakfasts and loverly staff.
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: Stayed here a few times before. Great location, beautiful pool, rooms are very comfortable, nice beach area. Some reasonable restaurants nearby.
Cons: Starting to look very run down. Cracks in the walls, balcony and outside deck chairs need sanding down and repainting. Electronic keys, so when you go shopping, sightseeing or swimming you walk into a sauna when you come back. I remember the breakfast being a lot better the last couple of years with more variety.

Cons: I like everything ...

Pros: The pool and various breakfast options.
Cons: Facilities are old and delapidated. Service slow and staff in great need of training. Isolated from other attractions and tours offered conducted by bell boy with little knowledge and huge language barrier. Food at restuarant overpriced and worst Ive had in Vietnam. It really is not a 4 star resort, I dont know who they bribed to get the rating but it should be revoked. So sad I spent a wk there and lost so much money for nothing.

Cons: Choice of western food could be improved.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool is amazing, the breakfast is very good and the room really confortable. Kindly people working at the Hotel.
Cons: The quality of the sea water at the beach is not good.
7,1 Good
Pros: The layout of Eden is very good & room fit out excellent. The swimming pool & beach facilities also great as too were the staff.
Cons: The food was average at best, in particular the buffet breakfast. Occupancy was low during our stay yet huge amounts of food was still prepared & not cooked to order. I’d assume there is significant waste. I don’t know why hotels don’t prepare food to order - guests would be prepared to wait knowing there is less waste & food presented is a higher quality.

Pros: Location
Cons: Basic room smelt old and musky, hard bed and cheap pillows and linen. Staff seem uninterested in their job and un trained. Had to carry my bags in and out of the hotel without assistance. Food terrible got food poisoning after eating dinner in the restaurant tried to give feedback about the food so no one else fell sick staff didn’t care.

Pros: Nice and Clean rooms with good location... worth to stay
4,2 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: All the charm of an operating room. Harsh CFC light. Filthy floors. Loud staff smoking outside room every morning. Eroded beach. Filthy sewage canal on one side of property flowing into sea right next to beach. Awful breakfast. There’s not much to like.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Our first room had no lights working. We were upgraded the second day to a better room. The rooms could do with some work as look tired and outdated but location was fab
Cons: Rooms are tired and outdated.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - Private beach was amazing, it’s on Long Beach really close to great food and drink places. Only thing that would improve it is a person manning the sunbeds and a bar/ place to buy refreshments. There is no one around on the beach from the hotel so I also wonder how they ensure only hotel guests use it. - double room was good, big enough and good AC - Location is excellent and they have mopeds for hire and can arrange tours for you - price was reasonable for the location and nice resort
Cons: A little difficult to find down the alleyway. None of our taxi drivers knew the way. Room could be a bit cleaner, there was mild damp in the corner which smelled a bit (when the AC was on cold, Fine the rest of the time) and also our fresh towels on our second day smelled a lot of smoke for some reason Doesn’t have a pool but the beach is right there!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Central location, nice beach
Cons: Poor breakfast selection, facility old and poorly maintained.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: close to the Beach Bars and Restaurants
Cons: I hope the Local people realizing soon that they are living on a beautiful place on this earth and do something about the waste. I can understand that Tourist is business but don't give up the healthy off this beautiful place.

Pros: Comfortable bed. Reasonably clean. Ok location. It was what it was for the money.
Cons: Woman on reception was very rude, it’s the language barrier.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The gardens and the beach are very peaceful. Really enjoyed the calm clean water. It may look a bit out of the main road, but it's right on the beach and a very short stroll brings you to more restaurants, pubs and shops.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The beach beds comfy
Cons: Expected more for money we paid as the photos on your add was like the place was 20 years ago very out dated

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff was helpful when changing the room (we had massively leaking air-conditioning in the first one). Also helpful with early check out and providing taxi to the airport.
Cons: Not easy to find. There is a massive construction site right next to the hotel (very noisy with heavy machinery during the day). There were also burning something on the construction which filled whole place including the room with heavy smoke. The first room we got was very smelly and humid. For the beach is better to have shoes for water as it has sharp stones everywhere.
7,5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Room, dorm bunk beds are too close no space to move. Restaurant doesn't bother about food
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Probably the cheapest resort by this part of Long Beach (which is a great area - the waters are cleaner here than next the the city center) and still super nice and beautiful and lovely staff, excellent value for money! The price is cheaper probably because the resort is located in the only rocky part of the beach, not good for swimming, but you can just walk 50 metres and there are kilometres of great beach on left and right (there are other resorts, but the beaches are not private). We didn't book breakfast, instead we ate in different restaurants. All the restaurants offer breakfast and have the same breakfast menu (omelettes, bread, pancakes) but if you choose a place not right on the beach the price is cheaper. Note: the place has two names, Viet Thanh Resort and Free Beach Resort (still the same exact place). The locals and drivers know the latter one better.
Cons: In January 2019 there was a construction site right behind the rooms, they are starting to build another hotel there, so if you mind the noise, it can be loud and go on late at night. But ee didnt really mind, and there's really nothing they can do about it...
6,7 Good
Pros: Amazing location! Great sunsets from this little corner
Cons: Construction site right next door which meant 10 h of unbearable noise daily! Although it’s not Viet Thanh’s fault, this made us go to other beaches further away without taking advantage of our own accommodation’s facilities. Also...in this area the beach is not very clean and there’s something stinging in the water
4,2 Okay
Pros: Beautiful garden
Cons: Noisy construction site next to the resort, disgusting rubbish at the beach and in the sea, all sourrounding beaches full of rubbish
4,2 Okay
Cons: Construction work next to the resort. 7days a week, starting at 7:00 am so no sleep. 3 Guarding dogs that barks at you at night (also waking you up) No cleaning service for the 8 men dorm!
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice view from bungalow at the beach
Cons: Dirty beach with a lot of trash on it. A package of used condom was lying at the beach in front of our bungalow. Hotel’s restaurant was closed. There was not even a possibility to find a plate or a knife to cut fruits. Ceiling of the bathroom has holes and water was dripping during rains. Standard of the room is much too low for its price.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: room is very clean...we loved beach view bungalow..management is responsive and attentive
Cons: beach is not clean

Pros: Kiki and her hubby were very helpful in every way! They even sat down with me and told me which places I should visit. Also, the food was amazing!!! I’m definitely going back there!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good and nice, personal try help you in every situation, personal servis more than they have to do! Really nice stay and thanks for everything! Honestly one of the best stay what I got ! Recommanded to all guest around the world !
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Kiki, her husband George, and the rest of the staff are wonderful. George makes it a point to have a conversation with guests every day, telling stories and offering advice. The sand comes right up to the front steps of the three bungalows and provides a large area between the buildings and the waterline with chairs, tables, hammocks, and shade from the many palm trees. No need for shoes during your stay. The bungalows are relatively spacious (compared to hotel rooms), and would be even nicer if there was a way to get outside airflow at night so that the air conditioner is not needed. Room can be paid with credit card (with 2% fee), but any meals will need to be paid by cash. Be aware as there are no nearby ATMs. The menu in their little kitchen is quite extensive with mainly Vietnamese items, but also three flavors of spaghetti. On-demand water heater in the shower provides hot water, but it is low flow due to their well situation. Wifi was stable, but somewhat slow. But you are in the middle of nowhere, so any wifi is nice. Many of the guests that came and went during our week at Kiki's did various activities on the island during their days. We found that just puttering around Kiki's and watching the water was just fine - no need to run around all the time. The location is on the quiet side of the island. It is a bit of a drive (like 350,000 VND taxi each way) to get into the "big" city. Sun rises right outside the bungalow doors, but sets on the other side of the island. Quiet at night - essentially no traffic noises, just a rustle of wind and gentle waves.
Cons: Like most of Vietnam, there is litter everywhere - except at Kiki's. They clean their bit of paradise constantly, but the surrounding beaches and roadsides are covered in trash. Having a second operable window to enable air flow at night would keep the room more comfortable without turning on the air conditioner.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Really cool hosts, Nelson and Kiki (the couple that run the place) are super nice and friendly, really accomodating and welcoming, lots of good info too. Food is good and the location is excellent if you want to be away from all the hussle and bustle of the main town.
Cons: The only possible improvement I could see is maybe improving the beach area to the left and right by tidying it up and keeping it nice, although these areas may not belong to their villa in which case maybe it's out of their hands. Apart from that it's a cool place.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: clean and comfort bungalow, landscaped area, everything for silence and relax.
Cons: no beach, extremely bad road surface to destination, a little intrusive owners, a lot of insects and no mosquito coils provided.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are clean The resort is well maintained The sea front is nice Warm welcome of Kiki and George
Cons: Location is too far away on short stay (1h30 round trip by scooter to go to must see places of the island) Dinner has to be served at 7pm with other guests which was more of a contraint for us looking for peace and serenity coming to that kind of secluded resort No beach though one could be arranged as the little sand space on the sea is full of trash Overall the stay is overpriced
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful and peaceful place. Silent, clean, good food, cute dogs - very good value for money. We had a lovely stay. The hosts are the most friendly people you will meet, and they have tons of great recommendations for Phu Quoc and Vietnam in general.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved the atmosphere and personal care that we all was treated with at Coconut Beach Resort. Its one of these places you hide in your heart as a preciouse memory. Sitting at night on the beach under the stars sharing meals with interesting travellers from all over the world.....what else could you wish? Kiki and George does really make this place unique allthough one should be aware that this brings nothing of the luxury that a lot of the new resorts offer. Special recommendation to request the Robinson House for those who wants to stay for more then some few nights. This is where you go to get away from it all :)
Cons: In general it is very sad to se the exploation and pollution of this island, although that has nothing to do specifically with Kiki Coconut Beach Resort. (!) They are struggling very hard to keep the area as clean as possible.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very chilled resort, great bungalows, lots of space. Beach and sea is clean, nice for swimming and snorkelling. Fantastic food in restaurant set out over sea. Very helpful staff. This place is near paradise on earth. The resort is an oasis of tranquillity that seems to attract like minded travellers.
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners - warm and superkind! They bring all the guests together. The place is very peaceful and calm. Only 20 minutes from the airport! The road was surprisingly good;) We'll be baaack!! PS The best Kilku coffee ans Koko dooog!

Overview Reviews
From the moment we first walked through an uninhabited tropical forest on Phu Quoc Island and discovered a pristine beach in a secluded coral bay boasting panoramic views across the Gulf of Thailand, we were inspired to create Green Bay Resort. We immediately had a vision of an eco-conscious, five-star boutique resort that nurtured the natural beauty of one of the secluded Vietnam beaches. Our goal was to develop a world class resort in Phu Quoc without disturbing the island’s enchanting, rustic aura. Our luxurious lodgings incorporate natural and sustainably-sourced materials while featuring all of the modern amenities that guests would expect from a superlative boutique holiday experience . Every day you will see a team of gardeners carefully maintaining the bucolic beauty throughout the resort. Each and every detail throughout our resort – from the serene setting of our spa through the restaurants and to the infinity pool bar that overlooks a pristine shoreline and the turquoise waters of a coral fringed-bay, guests will appreciate how Green Bay Resort strives to protect its most precious asset: the natural beauty of Phu Quoc Island.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved staying at the green bay. Great attention to detail from collection at the airport (you are given cold bottles of water and refreshing cloth), the wooden interior through the hotel and the well kept grounds to the cool tiki bar which is great for watching the sun go down. The rooms are amazing with an outdoor shower and bath. The bed is massive and very comfortable. The aircon isn't that strong and takes a while to cool the room but the setting makes it worthwhile. The beach is immaculate and you can also kayak and Paddle board for free. You can also rent motorbikes from the resort from 250,000 for 1 day. Food is relatively well priced and drinks are also moderate (60,000 beer, 180,000 cocktails). The tiki bar has a happy hour and a singer from 8pm. Having stayed at two other 5 star hotels in phu quoc, the green bay was our favourite place by far! Strongly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful stay close to nature and environmentally friendly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to get way from Vietnamese craziness! Good spa service. Rich breakfast menu. Clean and arranged area. Free snorkeling, SUP, kayaking equipment. Free bicycle and possibility to rent a motorcycle.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the bedroom and bathroom tasteful decor and the large comfy bed. Air conditioning together with ceiling fan was a must, so very appreciated! Breakfast was fantastic, great choice and quality. The swimming pools and proximity to the beach were great too. The staff was very friendly. We appreciated to be able to have a very late checkout on our last day when our flight changed to 3 hours later than planned, so we could still enjoy the resort instead of waiting hours at the airport, thank you!
Cons: We found diners a little expensive at the resort restaurants (but good food).
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: They gave me a cake for our anniversary.
Cons: My wife and I both got sick from our private pool. Everything was overpriced and the service was so extremely SLOW! It took them over an hour to make a salad. The refrigerator does not really keep things cool and the keycard is the only thing that gives power to the room so you will go out for the day and come back to a scorching hot room. Again I can not over emphasize how slow the service was, even for just a beer they took over 10 minutes. It was a waste of money. They had a special promotion on spa treatment for 30% off then tried to say my wife's treatment didnt qualify for a discount after. They also did a horrible job on her nails it looked like a 5 year old painted them and the paint just chipped off within a day anyways. My bed sheets also smelled like cigarettes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.. The place is a dream!
Cons: Ongoing maintenance can be noisy but there is no avoiding that, I guess. Also, if you like to walk along long beaches, this is not the most accessible place.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Garden and grounds are lovely, enjoyed the garden view bungalows with their privacy, spacious room, balcony, indoor and outdoor bathroom and very comfortable big bed. Staff were pleasant, attentive and always helpful. Massage at the Spa was excellent in a private, outdoor garden setting with a slight breeze which was great.
Cons: Limited to only one restaurant as the other was being renovated. There were some inaccurate meal descriptions in English on the menu

Pros: Amazing place and service. We love it! Highly recommend it!
Cons: All hood

Pros: Such a beautiful hotel at a bargain price! Very large and luxurious suite overlooking the ocean. The breakfast was decadent, full of choices. Many kinds of exotic fruit, Vietnamese dishes plus all kinds of Western more traditional breakfast items.
Cons: The beach area should be better maintained and monitored during the day. Towels were strewn everywhere and chairs were not neatly arranged.

Cons: Bar area was tiny and when we visited there was nobody there. Shower was never hot. There was very few sun beds and people left towels on them all day and never returned to them. The large fish should not be in that tiny pool it’s cruel.

Pros: Amazing staff, clean and comfortable room. Same as pictures. Excellent sea view from our booked sea view room. In 2 min on the beach. Breakfast was different every day and very tasty!
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok.
Cons: Narrow beach and pool area. You cannot see that on the pictures. We had little crawling animals in our bed the second night. We could change rooms, but the new room had the same issue. The third room was ok, but we then had noise early in the morning due to construction work besides the hotel (Mountain view rooms not to recommend). We got no price Discount because of the issues (only a free transport to the airport).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great private beach, ideal for our holiday. Very good restaurants close to the hotel, on the beach. Great room and no noise from construction sites, since we had a room with sea view. We got a room upgrade, because we had our honeymoon there. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Cons: In the surrounding area there are construction sites, creating mess/garbage. However this was not visible on the property
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice deco, Friendly staff, beach front, many restaurants & spas within walking distance & all very reasonably priced.
Cons: Beach was crowded as it’s shared with 2 beach pubs, but water is nice and clear.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with an excellent sea view. The beach was clean and well maintained with a pool for alternative swimming option. The complimentary breakfast was good with plenty of choices. The main town is a 5/10 minute taxi ride away and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The beach allocated to the hotel was a little bit cramped to accommodate all the guests. Either side of the beach area are beach bars meaning that at about 17:30 music comes on albeit not overly loud, if you don’t want the music then the only option is to retreat to the room balcony, which is not a bad option
7,1 Good
Pros: Very good Breakfast. They have cheap motorbikes.
Cons: Is next to a Night club, and next to a Building under construction , so is a little bit noisy. With this in mind, should be cheaper than the actual price.
