Good costumer service.,,,
Unfortunately when I went to check-in they couldn't find me in the system and I wasn't showing a reservation. The Airline crew was great and allowed me to board but I had to wait 30 minutes for them to get approval even though I had my electronic ticket and I had paid for the flight
It's a 3 to 4 hour flight and you don't have an entertainment system???
I had to wait for 20-30 minutes for a flight attendant to come and give my water. I also got spilled water twice by the flight attendant while serving meals. The boarding system was chaotic - the letter system does not work at all. Just go use the number system like most airlines. It's not rocket science. The passengers are blocking the main road leading to other gates with how you guys do it.
My flight was scheduled on July 24th 2022, I went to PAL laoag the day prior to pay for an extra baggage ($165) as a check-in. On the day of the flight, one of the customer representatives in the PAL laoag airport put me on waiting after I had checked in and told me I had to check-in with the immigration due to my overstay...I am a dual citizen of the United states and the Philippines and questioned the staff, after 30 minutes of waiting the staff member said I could go to the terminal and they will call my name to see if I was eligible to take the flight back home...after learning of such nonsense, the staff proceed to tell me that one of my boxes will be held back due to the high flux of cargo being carried by the plane to Manila. At that point I was very upset, what was the point in paying $165 for an extra baggage if the laoag airport was going to hold it back. Today is July 27th and I have been calling PAL for the last three days to pick my luggage up. They had informed me in the PAL airport in laoag that if in case our luggage was held back, our luggage would arrive the next day and a call would come from the Honolulu airport. I have not received a phone call for the past three days and will make a 2nd attempt to pick my luggage up today at the airport. I'm hoping someone can help us here in the Honolulu airport because this experience has been a nightmare. Advise to anyone who is flying from Laoag, Philippines to Honolulu just keep to your 2 free check-in baggage because there is a high possibility that your extra check in will be held back in Laoag and be put in this situation.
Very disorganized while boarding and deboarding. Seats need upgrading. Small overhead compartment. Feels like I’m flying a 90’s plane.
the pre-boarding area in Manila to Vancouver is terrible. Not enough space. I was flying business and the seating that was reserved for this was not monitored therefore no seats available. Upon boarding for business the area was packed with passengers and no separate line for frequent flyers to board therefore we were stuck behind stanchions permitting us to board. We had to crawl or climb over the stanchions in order to board.... WHAT A MESS!! This criticism is not because I was flying as a frequent flyer as there is not this MESS when flying from Vancouver to Manila. Improvements must be made as this sets the impression for the rest of the journey.
I like how the staff are attentive. I don’t like the delays of the flight, the plane seems old and they use only one plane for Hawaii. The seats are not comfortable, legroom is terrible. The pilot/crew are the best.
The leg room was very comfortable.
Uncomfortable seats, incredibly awkward disembarking procedures. All alternatives should be considered before selecting Philippine Airlines
There is a 3 hour delay. I am not sure if this is regarding the weather condition or the passenger patient. Hopefully, I could get at least vouchers because of the inconveniences I’ve been through.
I liked everything especially the food and the good services.
Took off about an hour late Had to sit on airplane tarmac long tims
luggage checked has been ridiculous. it was checked 4 times prior to boarding.
PAL is not my airline of choice. They are not competitive with other large international airlines. Always late, poor service (very small IFE choices), not very tasty food, no mid-flight service (even though advertised on the menu card) and no bottled water offered to coach passengers even though the toilet had a (WATER NOT FOR DRINKING) sign above the faucet. The terminal in Manila is a complete mess. Connecting from domestic to international is very time consuming and a ridiculously long walk inside and outside buildings. You have to go through four security points the last one being at the departure gate AFTER you are in a secure building.
PAL is not my airline of choice. Always late, poor service/IFE and a lousy terminal in Manila.
Atleast i got into my connecting flight for such a short period of time.
Better fly on time. Thats all
Had a delay on flight back to San Francisco but other than that no issue at all.
Notify of flight delays
Good not so good.
Staff are friendly and readily assists us seniors.
food was good enough
I like the crew, very friendly. The food was good but the serving was really small. They could’ve added bottled water for each main meal instead of pouring in a small cup.
Food was good. The layover that was unexpected was not cool
Not a straight flight, they lied! After paying for the plane ticket, I received an email that will stop in Incheon, delayed my connecting flight to Vegas. I missed my flight, and my wife had to rebook for same day flight. I will never fly Philippine Airlines again.
Not too clear about the Covid-19 requirements. I ended up rebooking my flight. Vancouver Canada -connecting flight , staff aren’t helpful. Customer service sucks. Won’t fly Philippine Airlines again.
Everything
Philippine airlines is the best airline going. Always friendly and accommodating. If they had flights from west coast to east coast I would never use any other airline. It’s always a great experience with PHILIPPINE AIRLINES.
Need a refresh on these planes
On board Philippine Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 115cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Philippine Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.

Both Airbus and Boeing aircraft make up the company’s fleet. The Airbus A321 family of planes are the most commonly flown for short distance flights within Asia, capitalizing on their fantastic fuel economy. If you are undertaking a transcontinental flight from North America our Europe, it is likely you will travel on one of their Airbus A350 or Boeing 777 aircraft. Check to see if you are flying in their LoveBus, a specially decorated A350 that was made to celebrate 40 years of partnership with Airbus. It has a red kiss mark near the nose of the plane.
