Swimming pool, activities organise for children, view from front
The evening food in restaurant was old. Especially kids buffet, view from the window for back of building, bed for children. The restaurant close at 21.00
Situated in a lovely country side and great views
Getting bags up to reception was the first challenge, clunky lift that you had to find. We arrived late so we were after a snack however we couldn’t order that from the bar, we had to go back to our room and then dial from our personal mobile (yep no in-house phone service) now that’s ok if local but not with international phones navigating options. We asked for brekky but apparently because that was before start time it couldn’t be delivered to your room, you had to collect from the reception desk, never experienced this previously!!
Spa was lovely
Needs upgrading very soon
The appearance of the exterior and beautiful grounds.
Very tight on parking. Hard bed and dreadful pillows.
Great location, really helpful staff
I was on the third floor, my room was great, freshly , stylishly decorated but on one occasion I walked down the stairs instead of using the lift and it if obviously due for renovation, scuffed walls and threadbare carpet (on stairs !) . Funnily enough when you got to the first floor everything was in good order. Didnt put me off, obviously a work in progress, the building itself is special, dont let my comments put you off, it is definitely worth a stay.
