Pros (+) It was clean, close to the beach and far enough from the Bangla Road. Can order ferry tickets and taxis via hotel. Nice Thai breakfast - not included but possible to buy at the hotel restaurant.
Cons (-) Air conditioner is right above the bed which makes it too cold to sleep - or too hot when it's switched off. The pool is situated in the front yard so not very inviting to swim.

Pros (+) Close to the Northern end of Patong beach, which is less crowded then the middle (close to Bangla Road). Food cooked by Ma is very tasty and reasonably priced. This is particularly important in the Monsoon season, when you really don't want to leave hotel to eat during a tropical downpour.
Cons (-) Lack of view, but you got what you pay for. WiFi signal in the room is weak. They could invest in a few more routers.
