Good location for what we wanted
We have used this hotel in Paris a number of times over the last 20 years. It is in a great location beside a metro station in a lovely area. There is a wonderful little French restaurant across the road and a bar next door that is now open till midnight. So whilst the hotel is basic the facilities nearby are good and it is in a safe relatively quiet area. The staff are always friendly and helpful and over the years have become friends, welcoming us when we come. We have recommended it to family and friends as part of a Paris experience. Our teenage niece came with some friends some years ago and was very happy and safe.
There is nothing we don't like although some people might find it a bit tired. The facilities are very basic but always clean.
Location is good and its walking distance from metro line M3. Overall good will recommend friends to stay.
Location was very good
The breakfast was mostly not my style and that may simply be cultural. Just a bit of fresh fruit would have helped. On the other hand the coffee was good and the breads were fresh. Room was clean and mostly functional if a bit worn.
Some information about lighting (I'd forgotten the European approach to conserving electricity in a hotel). Stepping off the elevator into a dark hall (pathway lights high on the wall) with no indication of a light switch was challenging the first day. Found the door, couldn't find the lock. Modern travel tends to need more access to electricity for charging cell phones and computers. I could only find one outlet (over the bathroom sink) that was not in use. Unplugged the desk lamp and got the job done. Consider adding a desk outlet.
