I did not like the so called ’room’. It was a compartment at attic!! Room ceiling was too low. Only one window of size 50*50cm. Really dark hole!! Also no elevator! We had to climb very steep stairs every day to 3rd floor. Also rooms were dirty. Sound proof, no existing . First nigh there was rave party somewhere quite near. And it stopped only 6am in the morning. We could not sleep a wink! Rooms this hole was very worn and unclean. We paid over 300 euros for these holes. We want our money back!!
Great location right in the heart of hictoric old town, with dozens of great dining places. Parks are all around, and the beach is a comfortable 15-minute walk away. Hotel’s breakfast service was very nice, ample and stylish.
In the summer the area is very (!) noisy every night (!), all the way until 5-6 a.m. Make sure to carry good-quality earplugs with you, or you will have trouble sleeping. The room we stayed at (#13) was very tiny, with the bed taking up literally two-thirds of the entire room space. In a hot summer day, it becomes a furnace, with no A/C and no fans to cool up the air. It was less than what we could expect for the price we paid.
Location was greta! Room was spacious. Suff wes OK.
Breakfast was poor. White linen - but they stay hole morning - in the end they were really dirty. Room was not clean. We used first day the glasses at our room, nobody cleaned the turing 4 days stay...
The location in the center is super.
The hotel is over 100 years old and seems to have improved 100 years ago ... it seems the management is not paying attention to the interior of the hotel, windows, doors, furniture are worn and ugly ... Breakfast was bad. The omelet wasn't like an omelet, it was like something made with powdered eggs ... tasteless and nasty, even frozen meatballs didn't make it better. During the summertime, the prices for the rooms are too high, it does not make sense.
good access to city
3rd. floor room did not have any airconditioning or anything, only way to get any air inside the room was to keep the window open, and let the trafic and bar noise in also.
