Pros: The service was excellent. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was really good. When there was a problem with the WiFi, which I needed for a work deadline, they were very helpful and reassuring and fixed it right away. Usually I don't write reviews but this place exceeded my expectations.

Cons: We brought a dog and got a dog room, which is fine. However the hotel did not clean the room very good. Cleaning staff that passed by during our stay only made the beds, nothing else. Which is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. The staff in the hotel was allaround a mix between nice and not very welcoming. We had to carry our luggage down by ourselves (which is fine, just not worhty of a 5 star rating). I visit 5 star resorts frequently and this one was definitely lacking of adequate staff to justify the 5 stars.

Pros: If you're planning to see the Baltic Sea on the beautiful Island of Rügen, the Hotel is exactly what your imagination is dreaming about. Once you've parked your car you'll find yourself directly in front of the beautiful sea's view. The whole staff, beginning from the reception till the restaurant's waiters made us feel really comfortable, the service was kind and not too formal, which is perfect to make you feel relaxed while you're enjoying you're dinner or breakfast in the terrace. If you're looking for quiet and romance, we recomend this place: Kindness and professionalism are their qualities!

Cons: Bar Lounge: even though the opening hours are written, people sitting in the bar might lose themselves in speeches and enjoying the moment and not keeping a look on what time is it during their holidays. As a Bartender my self, I'd recommend that the staff gently makes "the last call" for a drink with a smile, rather then beginning the closing and make us perceive by intuition that it's time to leave.

Pros: It was almost a last minute booking and an excellent surprise. We took a superior room which was very spacious and very comfortable. The location is excellent, only 300 m from the gorgeous view on the haven and beach. The family which runs the hotel is absolutely very kind. The parking was practical and affordable. I would not hesitate to come again in this hotel which has the typical aspect of the beginning of XXth century hotels of this place. I would strongly recommend not only the hotel but also the place which is much more pleasant than Binz, in my view.

Cons: The room we booked (only one room was left at booking.com) was really not up to standard for the money (141€ per night): dusty, old looking and a carpet. Ground floor and really hidden away at the back of the hotel. We had to pay 10€ for parking which wasn´t listed. Bar service in the evening was very slow, to the point where I went to the bar and cancelled my cocktail order. 20min is too long to wait for a drink while the ice in my partners drink was melting.

Cons: Room nr 009 was in August like sauna because heating system was ...turned on and despite radiator were closed - ... really like in sauna . In the room there wasn't any fridge . We decided at the reception , do not exchange towels - because of environment policy of hotel ( very good !!!) but during 5 days stay nobody visit rooms even to take waste

If anyone wants a real holiday to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, the cure and gorgeous local architecture, the beach and cozy environment on Seebruke, and amazing Host who guides so well, communicates very efficiently and provides best facilities to stay during holidays, Hotel Forsthaus Sellin is the best choice to make. :) I was welcomed by the host and his little nice family and they also arranged small bbq on one of the evenings which was amazing!

Pros: The family who runs the hotel was making it a perfect stay till the last day.There is a really good breakfast with everything you need for a good start into the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The Hotel is close to a forest to have a walk without any tourist and close to the center to get everything you need from renting bicycle, to shopping or a restaurant or the best connection to the next place.

Everything else is available nearby and within reach by foot in not more than 10-20 min: pharmacy, supermarkets, restaurants, the main street etc. The room was clean and the double bed and the baththub very comfortable. In general, the room and the whole location is silent, clean and pleasant and, except those few things that were not so great, the quality price/location is excellent.

Cons: The breakfast was not very rich in options and a bit unsatisfying. We really think that should be improved a little bit. Also, there are more rooms than tables available in the breakfast hall, therefore one day my partner and I could not have breakfast because all tables were already taken. Also, the wifi did not work in the room. Last, we were a little bit surprised to not find any shower cream or soap in the bathroom. Probably that would have been available had we asked, but we just think it's nice once you enter your room and start your holidays to have these small things already prepared in the bathroom so that you don't have to carry these things with you or be forced to search for a place to buy them once you arrive.

Cons: Very rude personnel, reminds of 80s in Soviet Russia. The food on the breakfast table looked very suspicious. I didn't dare to eat and my partner later had problems with stomach. That is probably the reason why the breakfast is served from 8 to 10 and check-out is before 10. So you will have to look for toilet somewhere else and the staff will have less cleaning burden. I do not recommend staying in this place.
