9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owner who makes everything possible and is a great source of information and town-gossip. Perfect location on a little cliff right next to the beach. Very modern bathroom.
Cons: Unfortunately, both rooms were really small with approx. 30cm between each side of the bed and the wall. --> Cosy... :)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was really good. When there was a problem with the WiFi, which I needed for a work deadline, they were very helpful and reassuring and fixed it right away. Usually I don't write reviews but this place exceeded my expectations.
Cons: I would have liked to be able to make tea and coffee in my room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Everything, we were in central part of Sellin but quiet, beautfull place. For sure we will back There next year.

Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz - Binz - Building
2
9,4 Excellent (1 960 reviews)
R3 460+
Overview Reviews
The Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz is a landmark on the beach promenade and thus one of Rügen’s very special attractions. Its imposing architecture let you experience Baltic Sea resort culture and the atmosphere of a grand hotel with its sophisticated style, elegant details and lavishly generous space in a contemporary manner. This is where you stay: 137 stylish and elegant rooms and suites in the historic Kurhaus, the Kaiserhof and in the residences, many rooms with balcony or patio.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a room with seaview and balcony and was extremely pleasant. Breakfast is excellent with an extremely large choice and in a room flooded of the morning light. The pool area is very good and is one of the best parts of the hotel. Another excellent part are the large and comfortable common areas. The architecture, combining the "Kurhaus" charme with modernity is a big plus. Despite the negative points noted above, we did like a lot and plan to return (in particular because of the beauty of the Rügen island,.
Cons: No minibar in the room. Room service is charged with 10 €. Furniture of the room not at the level of the hotel. All this does not fit with a room +300 €/night. Small errors in the bill. The offer in the restaurant is of very good quality but restricted. In general the service was very good but with a weak "DDR reminiscence" (in the sense that one is "instructed" and almost given orders how to do things)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I really loved staying here on our honeymoon. Everything was so easy to walk to in the surrounding area. We had great food nearby and beautiful walks along the sea. We loved the breakfast every morning. There were so many food options and we really felt the staff was friendly. Everyone at the hotel spoke English and was very friendly to us. They provided a free shuttle to and from the train station for us as well. My husband really loved the pool as it was large. We would definitely recommend and we would stay here again!

Pros: Super fine and pleasant.

Pros: Everything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing. Maybe products for coffee or tea at the room
5,4 Okay
Pros: Great location- and sauna is nice. Though the pool looks tired as does the gym
Cons: That hotel lives on a tradition and status quo that just doesn’t live up to its standards. Especially compared with the big 5 star hotels around the world. I had several rude encounters with management and staff that shows that the guest’ well being is not the top priority here.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Bartenders did not want to take any contact. After 15 min. waiting we went away. In bar totally 4 customers.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Ras
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect: the spa, the rooftop pool, the lovely garden, the food, the terrace and of course the well attentioned staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, with superior personal touches by the owner. Beautiful surroundings, convenient rooms and facilities. Service very nice and thoughtfull. Great breakfasts, very good evening menu at both restsurants. Highly recomended. Me and my family had magical time there.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel and staff were excellent from start to finish. This is a fantastic place to have relaxing break with all the facilities you need from roof top pool to excellent wellness/spa areas. Peaceful gardens a fabulous breakfast and the food in the restaurant was also superb. Thanks to the staff and management.
Cons: Nothing
5,8 Okay
Pros: Outdoor pool, parking
Cons: Suite wasn’t a real suit but a big double room. Non-flexible and nor fully customer-oriented. Twin bed instead of one mattress.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing and made us feel extremely comfortable right from the start. Service was excellent. Sauna and spa area was nicely looked after and the bar menu was very wide. The rooftop pool was marvelous with a nice view and being a kids free zone on top of that.
Cons: In that category I would have wished for a proper desk in the room where I could write and work on. Also, only shower (a great one though) and no bathtub available. However, there was not enough space to make this happen. Breakfast was fresh and fine but choice on the lower end of 5 star hotels.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Just super clean and efficient with decent food.
5,8 Okay
Pros: location, parking an spa area were great. Breakfast was very good. dinners were pricey but alright.
Cons: We brought a dog and got a dog room, which is fine. However the hotel did not clean the room very good. Cleaning staff that passed by during our stay only made the beds, nothing else. Which is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. The staff in the hotel was allaround a mix between nice and not very welcoming. We had to carry our luggage down by ourselves (which is fine, just not worhty of a 5 star rating). I visit 5 star resorts frequently and this one was definitely lacking of adequate staff to justify the 5 stars.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Guests may use a train station pick-up service for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: If you're planning to see the Baltic Sea on the beautiful Island of Rügen, the Hotel is exactly what your imagination is dreaming about. Once you've parked your car you'll find yourself directly in front of the beautiful sea's view. The whole staff, beginning from the reception till the restaurant's waiters made us feel really comfortable, the service was kind and not too formal, which is perfect to make you feel relaxed while you're enjoying you're dinner or breakfast in the terrace. If you're looking for quiet and romance, we recomend this place: Kindness and professionalism are their qualities!
Cons: Bar Lounge: even though the opening hours are written, people sitting in the bar might lose themselves in speeches and enjoying the moment and not keeping a look on what time is it during their holidays. As a Bartender my self, I'd recommend that the staff gently makes "the last call" for a drink with a smile, rather then beginning the closing and make us perceive by intuition that it's time to leave.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Warm atmosphere, great welcome with a glass of Prosecco, excellent restaurant, breakfast buffet fantastic, staff eager to please & friendly, cosy bar with expert service, generous coffee & water supply in rooms, nice sauna, beautiful location, all in all very relaxing
Cons: I would’ve liked a kettle in my room to make tea too
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel. The parking. The reception staff was very helpful. We had dinner on the property which was very good. We will be back in the future to further explore Rugen Island and will stay at Hotel Bernstein.
Cons: The bath towels were a little thin, not fluffy. Better black out curtains, too much sun light shown around the curtains that lit the room up in the early morning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Lovely terrace for drinks and breakfast. Really great breakfast spread.
Cons: Drinks at the bar were a good €2/cocktail more than other equitable hotel bars in the area. Towels were oddly thin and frayed compared to the quality of the bedding, pillows and bath products of the rest of the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Buffet was fantastic! Whether you like a big breakfast or just continental style, there is something for everyone! They even had a small buffet designed for a child's taste. Variety of juices, also fresh squeezed OJ, smoothies, water, teas coffee and on Sundays champagne! Beautiful terrace to enjoy your meal and the Baltic Sea!
5,0 Okay
Cons: No a/c which considering the price is really bad.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Extremely good service! champagne upon arrival, staff walk you to the room and explain everything. Walk to the pier in just a few minutes and direct view of the Baltic ocean from the room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great view from tthe terrace where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Impressive drink menu in the bar.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel really cares for his customers and this you can feel in all things they do. They are making the difference with real Care and that's the only way to get a successful business. Thx for the " jam of the house' it was great to taste at home ;-)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous view over pier and the sea with chalk cliffs at the horizon. No traffic. Free parking. Excellent breakfast buffet covering a large variety of super fresh offerings. Seating indoors or on terrace with nice shades. Two bottles of free drinking water on the room. Well equipped Spa with well maintained pool area (with aqua gym in the morning). Bike rental (standard, but no e-bikes).
Cons: Very narrow room, yet over crowded by furniture resulting in unpleasant contact of shinbone or toes with bed post.

Pros: Tasteful breakfast and Dinners. Very friendly Staff.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Very good breakfast buffet and friendly service staff
Cons: High price for a comfort room that did not meet our expectations. Very poor WiFi reception in our room - had to sit in the lobby to check emails. Parking is more than 300 meters away and Booking.com customers have to pay €3 per day, whereas it is included in room rate for direct booking.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfy room. Fridge in the room proved useful. Restaurant downstairs with very good fish dishes.
Cons: Non english speaking staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, delicious breakfast and very nice suite
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was almost a last minute booking and an excellent surprise. We took a superior room which was very spacious and very comfortable. The location is excellent, only 300 m from the gorgeous view on the haven and beach. The family which runs the hotel is absolutely very kind. The parking was practical and affordable. I would not hesitate to come again in this hotel which has the typical aspect of the beginning of XXth century hotels of this place. I would strongly recommend not only the hotel but also the place which is much more pleasant than Binz, in my view.
Cons: Frankly, nothing.

Pros: Everything. We arrived a little early for check in but we sat on the terrace and had ice cream and cake before reception opened. We made use of the swimming pool and the restaurant and found both to be superb. Breakfast was the best we had on our fortnights tour. The location is spectacular with walks and a stop for the local 'train' that runs you round the town nearby. Staff were very attentive but not overbearing

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel with good resto in the middle of the shopping street. Rooms are well equiped and comfortable. Good place to stay when you visit the area. Friendly staff.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in this hotel to participate in the Ironman Rugen race. Structure above expectations with spacious and comfortable room. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. Even the restaurant has an excellent quality at reasonable prices. Nothing to say about the position! Close to the "center" , to the event finish line and, of course, to the sea. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing in particular. The only remark is about the languages. As Bitz is mostly a german tourist resort sometimes the staff doesn't speak english and it could be complicated to communicate with them. However, their kindness and courtesy easily overcome this problem.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice large room, beautiful firm pillows, great shower. Breakfast (& coffee) was also great. Also, hotel location was in a pedestrian zone only 100 metres from the beach. Access via car was partially restricted but still manageable.
Cons: Hotel was billed as having staff with duel language skills but English was VERY limited. Staff were still quite friendly & accommodating, as we were able to decipher most of what they were saying. The food warmer for the cooked breakfast offerings was too hot - what was meant to be scrambled eggs was more like a baked omelette....Dinner was a little on the plain side but still good portions.

Pros: Very nice hotel and the cleanest we’ve seen so far! Good breakfast with everything you could wish for! Excellent location and the extra parking space 100 m from the building was a bonus!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy and the breakfast was fine. I didn't test the beach because it was pissing down with rain.
Cons: The weather. But it was October!
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast is ok
Cons: We were asked to leave the tarrace on the 3 floor due to some course held on the area. That is not OK, because we were told the area was allowed to be used of all guests - apparently not.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and pleasant hotel with good rooms and comfortable beds. Very clean and tidy. The location is very good. Close to both the center and the pier. Free parking and free wifi. Very good breakfast with everything you could wish for.
Cons: Many channels on the TV, but not one channel in English. For example, the BBC or CNN with news had been interesting.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff at the reception, very fast internet, balkony with chairs and table
Cons: Breakfast could have been healthier. I was wondering why they served pudding and chicken nuggets. Better less choice with more quality.

Pros: Great Position, close to the beach. Big room with sofa and facilities. Clean
Cons: Mini micro bathroom.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach. Beautiful. Nice breakfast.
7,9 Good
Pros: Bathroom was clean, room was clean. It's good that there is a elevator, plus you can bring your dog.
Cons: Parking is much to expensive. Pls write on the booking.com the price 11euros. Our room was to the street, in the summer season all rooms with window to the street should have an aircon, or at least a fen . Blankets are to thin, to small, to short. No spare blankets in the room. There is a minibar in the room, but price list is nowhere to be found. We arrived to the hotel at 17.50 , nobody was at the reception, so we needed to wait quite some time to get our keys.Note that check in is written 15 till 18'oclock.So if its till 18,why nobody was there?

Pros: Pool, staff and hotel was amazing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a great long weekend at the hotel. The room was a good size and we had a nice see view despite having booked the city view room. The breakfast was tasty and the pool area very nice with views towards the sea.
Cons: The parking spots were tight, as the hotel seemed fully booked. The decor is a little dated but everything is in great working order.
7,1 Good
Cons: Friendly staff Swimming pool good size
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice setting, staff go out of their way to greet you and meet needs, good bar.
Cons: For a four-star hotel, it felt like they skimped on some details. For example: only bath product was a 3-in-1 shower gel, there’s a ridiculous €6/day fee for parking in their lot, and there’s only one towel and one hand towel person in the bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Few vegetarian options at the breakfast

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great wellness area. Very clean and comfortable, satisfying breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom had a terrible smell that forced us to have our balcony door constantly open.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service (reception and housekeeping), great location, good service for Ironman participants (bikeroom etc.)
Cons: restaurant service ("sorry no table available without reservation" - although the restaurant was almost empty and we could have clearly finished before the reservation time)
7,9 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Located directly at the beach. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: No good aircondition. No Snacks in Restaurant, only main dishes. No daylight in pool and Spa area.
7,9 Good
Pros: Beds are very comfy. Spa area very nice and appealing. Staff very forthcoming and friendly. The panorama lounge offered great views of the surroundings. Full breakfast options. Good location
Cons: Parking is very crammed (visited in the high season), and you cannot enter the parking lot until you have actually checked in and received your key card. Once you have parked you don't dare to leave again ... Residents of the neighboring hostel uses the area in the alley as a smoking pit, which means that if you are in rooms x01/x02/x03 it is not so nice to use the otherwise spacious balconies (unless you want to inhale free cigarettes). The big black sticker on the wall announcing that SKY sports events can be watched in the bar is not very becoming of a classy hotel.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location excellent, rooms very small, wellness center and pool dark & small. Food excellent, evening meals expensive compaired to other hotels in the area.
Cons: Rooms very small for the price and facilities more like a three star hotel than four. People smoked outside the dining room, the smell drifted upwards meaning if you have a sea view room the balcony door needs to be closed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Food was excellent and fresh all the time. 2. SPA services are really nice and amazingly clean spaces inside.
Cons: 1. Parking is alright but you have to go around the parking to get to the hotel. It would be great to make a small entrance in the natural fence. 2. WIFI is very slow. 3. Gym is okay but lacking some important elements.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very nice placement of hotel right next to the beach, and just a couple of minutes away from Binz main street with its restaurants and beaches. The breakfast was pleasant and had everything we need plus more. Good size training area and a very nice spa area (Be aware that it is recommended to be naked in spa area - swimming clothes only in pool). The room was large, although smallish bath facilities. Nice with a side view of the beach.
Cons: No air condition in rooms and fan did not work so it got very hot during the night, had to keep windows open which meant that we woke up to the sound of seagulls at 5 am. Also, prices in Binz are very high, but this is generally for all hotels.

5,8 Okay
Cons: the air conditioning in the rooms are very poor and were unable to deal with the outside heat of close to 30C. We mentioned this to the reception, who admitted the airconditioning is old and should have been replaced long ago. This is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Binz and the price certainly suggests this, but in all honesty this hotel should be stripped of at least 2 of its stars. Having said this, breakfast and dinner are one of the best in town.
7,5 Good
Pros: Room, breakfast, breakfast staff and bartender were excellent.
Cons: We were disappointed our prepaid reservation for two sea view rooms was met with one room overlooking foot high weeds and a line of pyramid skylights and the other overlooking the side street and the Boothous bar and restaurant. They "compensated" this bait and switch, telling us they were " fully booked" with a sitting room and a 10% off price. Very disappointing start to a first visit for two couples to Binz, Rugen.

Pros: Everything
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect breakfast! Particularly the waffles. My husband loved the fact that he gets to make his own waffles the way he wanted. They’ve got the entire spread available. Definitely a highlight of this trip! Also, we got an upgrade to the beach view rooms. Paid a little extra for this (not for free). But it was worth it. We got a room with a beautiful view of the beach and our bedroom has a window on the roof so we could see the stars at night. It was romantic ❤️
Cons: The parking is like about 5 mins away and the hotel charges 18€ a day which was expensive! Not worth to park at the hotel premises.

Pros: Perfect location, rooms match perfectly the Baltic sea atmosphere (materials, colours) and quite big. Top quality bathrooms, big and super clean.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super nice, breakfast was superb and location is directly at the beachside.
Cons: Fitness facilities are rather limited so prepare for a run at the beach to get your workout.

Pros: Gorgeous seaside property overlooking the Baltic Sea! Super efficient and friendly staff! Bar and restaurants all very good. Buffet breakfast is amazing! Great for families and romantic getaways, too! Can’t wait to go back!

Cons: Air conditioning in the room did not work properly. Room temperature was at least 35C during the night. 15C above the outside temperature. No effort or understanding shown by the technician who came just as we were checking out.
