Parking, location, maid was wonderful.....
This is the second time I am writing this review. Not sure why the other one did not post and it took me quite a while to write so this one will be short. This was my 3rd time staying at the property and my 2nd review. Last review was very positive. This review will not be good and we will not be staying here again unfortunately. When I checked in they gave me a room in the lodge although I booked one of the state rooms as I have done in the past. Went upstairs and was shocked even horrified that this room would be rented to any guest. The odor was very bad, mildew/mold and I knew I would not be able to stay there without getting ill. The walls were peeling, the carpet was stretched, dirty and the comforters were disgusting. The light fixtures were actually rusty. I couldn't believe it nothing like we experienced on the past 2 visits. I went downstairs and just explained that the odor was such that I would like to change rooms. She was hesitant and stated that they may not have any other rooms although there was vacancy. I told her that we always stayed in the state building and she told me that booking.com gave us the lodge. I told her that I always used booking.com and always got the state room. I really couldn't stay in that room even if I have to eat the $622.00 charge and relocate to another hotel. I didn't say that to her, but I really could NOT stay in the room. She told me I could move rooms for an up charge of $41.00 and change. I didn't care what it cost so I agreed but I did tell her I didn't understand the lodge reservation as I truly believed I did the booking correctly. Actually I paid more this time that the 2 times in the past (which was no problem to me). I did check my reservation when I got home to find that I did book the state building as the picture of the room was on my reservation so I was overcharged.
Family oriented. I love all the amenities that are available. The kids love it, even in the off season.
Closing the indoor pool early on Sunday is not cool. The kids were pretty bummed out.
The whole entire resort! Plenty to do on the resort facility without even going to the beach!
I loved the bed, it was so comfortable!!! The service was great and I enjoy the location.
The toilet was not clean and there were ants on the dresser.
Great place for family! It’s has plenty of nice amenities and has nice areas for walking.
Room was a little musty smelling when we first arrived.
