The car was great, no complaints. And the lady at the pick up counter went out of her way to make sure everything was right- kudo's to her. My one issue was when I called to ask about shuttles returning to the airport from the Car Rental Center about a mile and a half away. We had an early flight (5:40 am) and I was told the shuttle didn't start until 6:00 am. This didn't seem logical, I couldn't see you doing that to your customers, but he insisted. That means I could drop off the car and put the key in the drop box, but have no way to get to the airport in time for my flight without taking a taxi, Uber, or Lyft??? I suppose I could walk it through Oakland, CA at night, with one of the highest crime rates in the country. I wouldn't look like a target at all to the gang bangers in my cowboy hat and boots, dragging a suitcase, with my wife and daughter trailing behind dragging theirs... I'm sure we'd blend right in. Thankfully, he was wrong- the shuttle did run as logic would dictate. But he had me in panic mode scrambling for options. May I suggest updated training and reference materials. I was ready to blackball Fox Rentals from all my future business and personal travel.

Customer service at the desk leaves a lot to be desired. The people in the lot however were really nice

No cumplieron con lo que ofrecieron, un sub estándar y me querían entregar un sub pequeño, para hacer el cambio tuve que pagar más, pero en su publicidad eran claros en decir que el precio que yo estaba pagando esta por un sub grande, luego fui clara en pedir un gps y la persona me dijo que si, tuvimos que regresar tres veces a la oficina, primero porque no correspondía el suyo, segundo porque no tenia gps, y tercero porque no estaba el gos donde nos indicaron, nos demoraron mucho. No nos gusto el servicio ya que no fue lo publicitado.

Going/checking in and out was a speedy process. The rental car was ready as expected. Unfortunately though, there were too many hidden fees like insurance and prepaid gas fees that were never mentioned and not explained thoroughly! On the kayak, the final price was $110 for 2 day rental. But in reality, FOX charged me $250! What a shame to charge me that much. I’m never going back to use FOX ever!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Car smelled like mildew on pickup. Drove with windows down first 2 days to air it out. Then left house keys attached to rental keys in drop box on return. No one answers phone no call backs took a week to get a hold of anyone. Still no call, no email. No follow up whatsoever. I even offered for a friend to to pick keys up. Their response, we will put your info in and contact you if found. Will not be using fox again.

The car was pretty old and banged up. They also tried to charge me another $10 because I arrived an hour late to pick it up even though it was prepaid in full. Lame

Useless, uncompromising, and apathetic. Never seen so many gotchas in one attempt to just rent a car. Fortunately, the agencies around them were more accomodating.
