Pros: Had to use door key to access all things including elevator. Not a fan.
Pros: What I liked most about this hotel is the location, the staff is awesome and friendly and very helpful and overall everything. The pool and work out room amongst the option to use the computers and the bar. It's a great hotel.
Pros: I booked 2 rooms for my 11 year old b day and the jacuzzi and sauna wasnt working. Very disappointing
Cons: Informed of.the inconvieniece
Pros: The hotel is easy to get to and is convenient, especially for people who are going to the XL Center.
Pros: Location is great, right in the heart of Hartford, and the XL Center
Cons: High priced room just to see a girls basketball game...just a regular game, not even tournament...the rooms were fine, but the included ‘breakfast’ was. Or what was expected for this type of place....basically a continental, with a tray of warmed scrambled eggs, sausages, and an attempt at waffles...add I. To the fact that you have to pay to park, was not what was expected...also, the facility ‘bar’....complete joke...$22 for two mixed drinks with hardly any of the bottom end alcohol used...we walked two blocks and had 6 drinks with top shelf for $36.... They should have deals for season ticket holders to make it worth the stay...I understand this is a huge conference type place, but we ran into plenty of other fans who felt exactly the same...
Pros: The fruit at the breakfast were fresh
Cons: The heater unfortunately kept turning off especially when it was freeezing outside
Cons: $85 pet fee. No green space for pet to do business. Nickel and dime you for extra charges. Parking fee, delivery fee etc. New grab and go kitchen served me a COLD Rueben.
Pros: Bar was open late.
Cons: Was beside myself when the breakfast buffet was $24.99 a person. It was a buffet that you could get at any hotel especially one in a lower price range than this.
Cons: They changed the dining room to a hamburger hot dog place.
Pros: Ryan at the front desk
Cons: Being told that breakfast was till 20 getting there at 9:4o with empty steam trays and being told they had been filled 3x already . Torn linen , Ceiling peeling.
Pros: Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Service was excellent.
Cons: In formation about the area. Concierge didn’t know directions to the Wadsworth Atheneum, a major museum just blocks nearby.
Cons: overpriced parking dated decor

Pros: AC unit cranked cold air.I slept well.Well insulated windows.Just overall great place.
Cons: Hotel is in an odd industrial area. The room and hallway had a constant humming noise that was very evident in the bathroom vent and we had to keep the bathroom door shut to minimize the sound. In the morning no hot water so we could not shower.
Pros: The caring staff.
Pros: Close to interstate, easy access off and on. Was close to downtown where we attended a conference. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Room had a constant dampness feel to it. Breakfast was less than desirable.
Pros: The staff was super friendly and was able to help my friend eith a small problem she had.
Pros: Everyone was super friendly and customer friendly.
Cons: Bed was a bit saggy.
Pros: Staff very professional and clean. The lady that provided the breakfast was beyond outstanding. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Did not have the room i book
Pros: Service was awesome
Cons: That was nothing to do in that area
Pros: I had tea and would have liked a real cup. I also had juice which was fine.
Cons: When I arrived there was some kind of flooding in the main hallway leading to the rooms. (there was a pump in the corridor) When I came downstairs in my slipper socks to ask something at the desk I walked through the scene and my socks got completely soaked through to my feet. Not only was it uncomfortable, but it smelled horrible and was filthy..I went to my room and washed my feet immediately and then came down with the dirty bathmat. The chap at the desk was very sympathetic and gave me more towels...he did not have another bathmat. I mentioned what happened the next morning at the desk and that is when I found out there had been a flooding problem.
Pros: The front staff is the most polite and down to earth staff I have dealt with in a very long time and they should be recognized along with the management staff.
Cons: Coming from a law enforcement back ground they should have local law enforcement pay closer attention to the negative activity that is occurring in the outside parking lot areas.
Pros: Everything. Breakfast was great.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.

Pros: I'm very impressed with the hotel in general, the rooms are always very clean, The Housekeeping staff are very friendly and the folks at the front desk are always very Accommodating, Friendly & Professional. I feel like a VIP everytime that I've stayed here which is once every month. Kudos to the whole staff at the Red Lion Hotel 50 Morgan Street, Hartford, Ct.
Cons: I didn't like that this Coronavirus has kept other Travelers away, but its always good to be safe then sorry.
Pros: The staff were pretty nice and the lobby was nice.
Cons: The room just was not nice. I m not picky at all, and I just do not feel like this was very clean. The showers was leaking and was stained with rust. My friend who stayed with me is in the hotel industry and said that this was max a 2.5 star hotel.
Pros: The lady at the front desk was super nice.
Cons: The place is so dirty, we had soy sauce in one of the draws that was molded must of been there for months.
Pros: My room was actually ready and available.
Cons: I thought I was going to get one of the other 2 options that was far superior than this dingy Hotel and Room. There was an adjoining room where the door jam looked like it had been forced open. I put a table in front of it for safety. 17.00 for parkin
Pros: The hotel is somewhat dated. The wallpaper needs to be changed. They are doing some renovation. The staff is outstanding, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast OMG!!!!! The best blueberry pancakes I've ever tasted filled with fresh blueberries. If I return to Hartford Connecticut I will check out the hotel again.
Pros: The staff was nice, the place clean, the price affordable.
Pros: Price and bed was ok
Cons: Charged for parking, no water to drink, Shower Drain and toilet cloged
Pros: There staff was very friendly
Cons: The facility is in desperate need of updating. Old and worn out fixtures in rooms and lobby. Food service could be expanded to include lunch and dinner
Pros: Great price and location, even with the $17 parking.
Cons: It's not really a 3.5 star property. Restaurant and bar not open at night (which is fine as there is plenty of good food and drink walkable) and not even a coffee maker in room or coffee in lobby.
Pros: Attentive staff
Cons: When booking it stated they had parking but never mentioned it was $17 per day to park.
Pros: It is very close to Hartford Ice Arena and restaurants/bars.
Cons: The employee at the front desk was extremely rude. Hefty fee to park at the hotel. The fire alarm went off at 5am for a half hour, then when the fire trucks left there was no one at the front to confirm whether it was safe. Late checkout was an issue too.

Pros: Love this hotel. Staff is terrific and accommodating. Hotel is lovely.
Pros: Everything was fine. Nice quiet rooms. I love the sleepy mist stuff they had for us to use in the room. It really helped out me to sleep.
Cons: The one issue is they said we would be overlooking the river. This is sadly not true as all we could see was the roof of a building and the convention center but not a huge deal
Pros: The cleanliness
Cons: Room was not ready at check in (4:00) even though the other 3 rooms in our party were ready. Everyone had to wait for us for our room to be ready before we could move on with our plans
Pros: Staff friendliness
Pros: Bed was the best
Cons: Great overall
Pros: Excellent location and walking distance to downtown Hartford restaurants, theaters, bars, etc... Quality throughout.
Cons: Parking rates are a little high compared to alternative locations.
Pros: Excellent overall experience. We also booked a massage upstairs and they were super professional and knew their craft. Overall, excellent.
Pros: Clean... well staffed...
Cons: Pool spa bathroom should have shampoo/soap dispensers. Showers there not so great (pressure, temp and height of shower head)
Cons: The restaurant food was poor in taste—everything was very bland.
Pros: Nice hotel, centrally located and well staffed.
Cons: Nope. We liked it all.

Cons: No I loved the place
Pros: Nothing, it's the worst ever. Appearance is deceiving, it looks more like a storage.
Cons: There was nothing to like. I checked out without staying there at all. Makes my skin crawls and itch. This place needs a serious make over.
Pros: MOST OF THE HOTEL WAS REHAPED BEING REHAPPED. VERY NICE DECOR, TILE AND FURNITURE
Cons: THE BACK PARKING LOT CARS & TRUCKS BEING WORKED ON
Pros: Quiet location - did not hear a thing.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Usually, with a less expensive hotel, there are a couple of minor issues, but I cannot find one negative aspect of the room and my stay.
Pros: Daily clean towels and sheets
Pros: The beds were super comfortable and I liked how the sink was outside of the bathroom. The room was very spacious and was exactly what I was looking for for a weekend away.

Cons: Hotel was run-down in ways that could not be quickly remediated, including grimy carpeting and lamps that did not work.
Cons: The receptionist was hiding as the breakfast food was largely missing (just milk & cereal available). Also glass wall separated the customers from the reception desk, very unwelcoming.

Pros: The staff at this hotel were spectacular. The most friendly, helpful and customer oriented I've experienced outside of 4 and 5 star properties.
Cons: The rooms, while spacious and clean seemed a little outdated in decor and some of the amenities were a bit cheap, like the in room coffee (horrible). The TV reception was also fuzzy on many of the upper channels. Not deal breakers but below expectations.
Pros: Size of the room, set up and ease of check in, breakfast in morning has many options.
Pros: Staff was great!!
Cons: Heating and refrigerator noisy. Kept us awake. Toilet noisy and clogged
Pros: The accommodations were very clean. Had a two bedroom suite which was quite large and very comfortable. The staff (front desk) was extremely nice and helpful in every way. The woman who ran the breakfast buffet was so pleasant with a wonderful attitude and demeanor. Even the man at the parking lot gate was helpful. The interior connection to the brew restaurant was very convenient as well. Overall a nice, easy stay.
Cons: My only issue was one of the bedrooms faced Main St so could be noisy for a light sleeper on lower floors.
Pros: Great location next to restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly.
Pros: Easy access to parking. Friendly staff a check-in. Great breakfast buffet offerings. Direct access to City Steam Pub.
Pros: The staff cannot be beat! Amazing bunch of people...from the front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the amazing woman who set up the breakfast buffet and kept it clean and restocked. Terrific, clean rooms. And you cannot beat the location.
Pros: This was one of the nicest places we stayed for our whole trip of 2 weeks. Even the Ritz Carlson in Boston would be given a run for it's money after they stayed at this place. As we stayed there and this was just as nice.
Cons: Well you asked...we did not like the $17.00 per day for parking.
Pros: This was a fantastic hotel they had represent the morning in the Room was one of the most unique rooms have ever stayed in the loft style was amazing we loved it
Pros: Breakfast and woman at breakfast... she is extraordinarily dedicated
Cons: Bedroom was dark... too late now, but could have had glass block wall to bring in daylight, and wall fixtures to brighten room.
Pros: How it's set up
Pros: it was very well kept and the staff was very helpful and attentive. would book a room there again
Cons: no it was what we excepted.
