Pros (+) I met my best friend in New Orleans for a long weekend, and staying at the Cornstalk was perfect. The room was gorgeous, the staff helpful, the courtyard a perfect oasis to sit and eat take-out lunch, the beds super comfy. It is in the thick of everything, without being right on Bourbon Street, which would have been way too crazy. Royal Street is extraordinary, with tons of gorgeous antique shops ...
Cons (-) They don't make it clear on the website that there is no elevator, and that even to get to the ground floor, there is a huge staircase - and this is the only access. The day we were checking out, an elder couple was attempting to check in, but the wife - who used a walker - couldn't begin to make it up the stairs to the ground floor, let alone the 2nd floor room they'd booked.
