It was very clean. Owner and staff were very helpful. Restaurant next door (with good food) was very convenient. They were excited when we told them about the wedding.
Need more/real closet space
The neighborhood feel is very nice and it's above an excellent restaurant: The Silk Road.
Location, ambiance, room size
Bed was uncomfortable Would have slept on hideabed if I had known that the sofa opened. Sheets were clean but needed replacing.
We learned when we arrived that the Guesthouse no longer serves breakfast. When we requested a credit rather than a voucher to use at the on-site restaurant, that was provided immediately. The communication was good even though there was no staff person at the property. The location is great - close to Frenchmen Street and French Quarter, but quiet. Several nice coffee/breakfasts places close by. Affordable.
Rooms were smaller than expected and there was no place to sit other than on the bed (no chair in our room; I'm not sure about our daughter's room). Rooms were down the hall from each other, but not next to each other. I don't know where some of the spaces in the pictures are located - we never saw them.
