I knew this would be a subpar experience as I only paid $80 for the night. I guess it served a quarter of its purpose…the sheets were clean. But the receptionist was flirting with two on the job construction workers when I came in, and then as she was checking me in she took a call on her cell phone, processed my check in and handed me keys while she was on the phone. Pros (+) There's a shuttle available to pick you up from Union Station, which is close by but not exactly walking distance. Their staff is SUPER friendly and really have that New England-region pride of their city and the area. Their rooms are well-maintained and clean. The view toward Long Wharf/Pier and the New Haven harbour - outstanding, I really love the view of a harbourfront!
Cons (-) There wasn't much to dislike, but important things to point out was that, upon entering the room, there was one single moth flying around - it didn't make any appearance again after the first night, so I wasn't too bothered by it.
