This was one of the best hotels I've ever been to World wide Beautiful historic yet super maintained and well taken care that gave an upgrade to our visit in Delhi. The spa was simply amazing and the staff was welcoming and super attentive I'd highly recommend for anyone who visit Delhi to stay at this hotel
Everything, friendly service, wonderful food, elegant rooms.
Everything. Friendly staff. Wonderful service. Beautiful rooms. Excellent food with award winning restaurants. Lovely spa. A haven in the heart of Delhi. Have stayed here many times over the years and would not stay anywhere else.
The property is located in the best area of Delhi. Very pleasant, clean and close-ish to the airport. It provides the perfect base to explore Delhi from. The staff is absolutely wonderful, very well spoken and will do the most to make your stay memorable. The breakfast was an absolute luxury in terms of quality, quantity and variety. The Indian breakfast section changed everyday and the food was of excellent quality throughout. The room where you have breakfast is gorgeous. You also have the option to have breakfast outside which is lovely. The hotel itself is very well taken care. You can really tell off the bat that it is not part of some international chain. Attention to detail is unparalleled in terms of decor, cleanliness (there was staff cleaning the dust of plant leaves), and amenities. Everything had extreme care and thought attached to it. Noticing the difference I Googled the hotel and came to realise that it is managed by the founder's grandsons. They have done an excellent job in maintaining the character and elevated standard of the hotel where Indian history was made. There are lovely elements exposed throughout the property such as gifted mirrors from King George V and Queen Mary. We tried two restaurants, Spice Route (serves South East Asian cuisine and the decor reflects the journey of spices through Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam - truly special restaurant) and Daniell's Tavern (sophisticated Indian with Thalis to die for). The service and food were consistently excellent and would highly recommend that anyone staying at the hotel try the on-site restaurants. The spa is beautiful, very sophisticated and the treatment list is attractive throughout. The therapists were very very good and the experience feels very luxurious overall. We went to the spa two days in a row and can highly recommend it. Just the nirvana you need after a day exploring Delhi and Agra.
Atmosphere and services.
Not the best view from my room.
