Pros: The free breakfast was of excellent quality and our server was great! Hotel was quite clean, staff was excellent the location downtown is superior. The hotel had special events planned for both Friday and Saturday night. We will definitely stay there again.
7,5 Good
Pros: The Library Pub had a great atmosphere and the Jazz music was really good. Food was ok, but the staff were great!
Cons: Breakfast was really silly, only specific breakfasts were allowed with no substitutions! For instance granola could only be had with a fruit cup not as a cereal with ONE slice of toast!!! It was cut in half though.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful, interesting an historic!
Cons: We enjoyed it but for almost $100 less we could’ve stayed at the Prestige right in the lake and had a balcony! That being said I’ve never stayed at the Prestige so not sure how it is? Great location though for both hotels. I did not enjoy not having s window in our hotel room?! There is one but you can not see through it?? Did not like that part at all but it was only for one night so we stayed. Comfy bed and cool photos everywhere.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the Hume are exceptional; everyone including housekeeping, waitstaff, and front desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and updated. We enjoyed the custom included breakfast, the special changes every day! The loung "The Library" had excellent Oso Negro Americanos and mouthwatering desserts! We will be back next year
Cons: The noise from Mike's Pub can really travel up to the rooms on Ward Street on a hot summer evening; it is best to check with the hotel to make sure your room will not be above the pub. We upgraded for $20 a night to avoid the noise.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Loved the Jack and Jill room with bed in separate spaces with the bathroom in the middle. Restaurant food and service were top notch.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel, big room, clean, brilliant facilities, great breakfast
Cons: Old building so only 1 lift, usually had to wait a while, also parking is a bit hit or miss, They're really helpful at helping you find somewhere but its not guaranteed you'll be able to part at the hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location in town was perfect also the parking spot in the garage next door was good. We enjoyed each morning a nice breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel. This was also for locals so a lot of things on the menu and all tasted great. The staff was also nice and willing to help they even gave as an upgrade to a room with more view that we appreciated very much.
Cons: You need to be aware that their is a pub which organize activities and then can give some noise. When we stayed a large party was organized for 200 people. We stayed at the 4th floor and didn’t had any noise problems.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful old hotel updated to modern standards but retaining the charm and character of an older building
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great views of lake
Cons: Expensive to eat and they don’t honor booking.com discount for lunch and dinner.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room, beds, decor integrated with original features of hotel ... nothing seemed to be missed. And of course, your famous breakfast!
Cons: The TV in our room, 331, is faulty. We never used it but 3 - 4 times in the night, it awoke us making a longish loud sound. We’d thought it was the fridge but I was standing right in front of it in the morning when it did it again. Possibly some electrical noise? I mentioned it to the desk clerk who made a note if it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really loved the old building and the outside patios.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, there were large lockers in the room and the kitchen had everything you could need in it. The location was excellent as it was right downtown amidst all of the restaurants and shopping you could ever want. The common room was large and comfortable, and they also had books you could borrow if you wanted.
Cons: There was only one toilet/shower on the same floor as the dorm rooms, so it was sometimes difficult to get into. There is parking at the back of the building but it fills up very quickly, so it can be difficult to find parking.
7,1 Good
Pros: On Baker Street. Big lockers. Comfy bed.
Cons: Limited parking, hard to spot and not properly warned about.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great free coffee and an awesome kitchen for cooking meals.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful restored old house. Rooms are nicely appointed, beds are comfortable. Close to town with parking in the back.
Cons: Being an old house the floors are a bit uneven so don't expect to play marbles on the floor or anywhere else in Nelson for that matter ;)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely outdoor spaces...front & back patios
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, decor
7,9 Good
Pros: Location right by Baker street, but far enough up to be quiet. Parking on site.
Cons: Not comfortable for the heat of summer — options were stuffy with windows closed or very loud window AC. (Most places I’ve stayed in Nelson have this problem)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, centrally located, with friendly, helpful owners. I highly recommend, and we surely will return, as we were delighted.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the cleanliness and decor. The hosts were superb giving us extra bits of info for a speedy check in plus options on carrying through. Very quiet accommodation with onsite parking. Close in so we could leave the car and walk to restaurants, etc.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners/staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was small, as anticipated, but really nice. The website describes the rooms well. The building feels excellently maintained - and it is so cute! And very central; we walked everywhere. Would highly recommend staying here, for couples or a family. Great choice, especially for the price.
Cons: I can't think of anything worth complaining about.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful renovated small Inn in Downtown Nelson. Although it is in the centre it is very quiet and rooms are beautiful. Nice private wintergarden, big bathroom and all you need. Very friendly and helpful staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here in the past when it was a B and B. Now it is a small hotel. The building is a beautiful heritage home located one block from Nelson’s Main Street. You can simply park your car and walk to most places within Nelson. The Cloudside Hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Sycamore Room on the main floor. It is very spacious and comfortable and offers it’s own private entrance. Prices at the Cloudside are more reasonable than other hotels that are not as well located. I highly recommend staying at the Cloudside. It is the only place we consider when in Nelson.
Cons: Like everything. Nothing negative to say.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Super clean and comfy
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome from the staff on reception , lots of local information given out . Parking was paid by hotel . Nice decking area to rear of hotel and small terrace to the front . Bedroom very comfortable.
Cons: If you don’t like steps there are a lot of them to the front door
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The spacious, thoughtfully appointed room and the wonderful glassed in sun room overlooking the town.
Cons: None noted.

Pros: The check-in customer service was probably the best we have ever had, I didn't get his name but he was the nicest employee we have ever dealt with in a hotel. Ever. Loved the room service too!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed there many times over the years and the quality of stay is always top notch. Well done staff!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to the boutiques and terrasses, nice personnel and cleanliness
Cons: A few steps in the hall to get to our room , without ramps
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Michael at the front desk provided truly wonderful customer service. I felt genuinely welcome upon my arrival!
Cons: The bed was a bit too “hard” for our liking but that being said, other people might prefer that.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the centre of town, with parking across the street (so you might have to lug your bags). Very nice Italian restaurant next door, which doubles-up as the breakfast place for the hotel --- but will cost you extra! Room was super-comfy and front desk helpful.
Cons: Was confused as to where was breakfast. Ended up having it at the Italian restaurant adjoining hotel, but one person was serving 14-plus people and so service was slow. Parking lot is quite a distance if you have heavy bags.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and pleasant staff, fridge with freezer, microwave, nice bedding and pillows, fluffy towels, good coffee, coffee and ice water in the lobby. Very good restaurant next door.
Cons: Noisy air conditioner.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly and room was very comfortable with fridge, microwave and great beds. The adjoining restaurant Maranzo was excellent. Free parking free wifi - we will definitely stay there again.

Pros: Rye toast, bacon and sausages were good
Cons: Hash browns were a bit on the heavy, thick side. Service was slow and some off food was cool.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and changed our room from a parking lot view to a water view. Ever so much better! The dining facilities had a lovely patio and a good happy hour. We enjoyed our stay!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Pool. Restaurant. Staff
Cons: Location advertised as near downtown - not really walking distance. Room overlooked parking lot; would have preferred the other side but that would’ve required an upgrade to $200 basic room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everythingy
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location by the lake. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious room with 2 queen beds.
Cons: Complementary internet was slow, our room on ground floor backed on to the car park, air con from other rooms was noisy at night and kept us awake.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, tidy, lakeside view.
Cons: Painting railings outside the door led to paint fumes and air compressor noises all day. Bathroom door didn’t close properly, and by consequence, didn’t lock.
7,1 Good
Pros: Spacious room overlooking the water. Restaurant had good food offerings. Nice to be able to go for a walk along the waterside pathway.
Cons: Sound system and acoustics in the meeting room were very bad, making it hard to hear our presenters.
6,3 Good
Pros: It was clean. It exceeded my expectations for a chain hotel. The view of the lake was the only reason we booked the room and was great. The restaurant on site is fantastic with very friendly staff and great food.
Cons: Staff were rude at checkin. Patio furniture is horribly uncomfortable. Room is nothing special and is dark. Smelled like stale cigarette smoke like someone smoked right outside the door or was a heavy smoker and their person made the room smell. I’m not saying they smoked in the room just that the precious people must have been saturated in it. There was a cigarette butt right outside the door under the eaves trough. It was noisy because we were right beside the lobby and where housekeeping gets their supplies or cart in the morning. Breakfast is not included for the high price tag. We were right beside the restaurant patio. The fridge is in a dumb spot on the floor and you have to reach awkwardly around the desk leg to open it. I could go on. I guess for the price I was hoping for more and at least cheery staff.
7,5 Good
Pros: On site patio restaurant/bar
Cons: No free coffee in lobby in the morning
5,8 Okay
Pros: Property location is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Website depicted hotel more elegant than it was hence the cost was way more than it should have been. Won’t stay again.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, we had breakfast and dinner outside
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Waterfront
Cons: There wasn’t an available boat lunch and poor parking available at the city boat launch

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice renovated older hotel. Funky. Good bar and food. Central, quiet.
Cons: Price. Despite the USD exchange rate it is still a bit pricey.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The hotel and staff.
Cons: The hotel is very nice but the noise outside was something else. We stayed midweek but the shouting and screaming in the street and behind the hotel went on until 3-30am.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exceptional especially Daniel at the front desk
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was good-sized, very clean and modern. It feels very clean indeed. The bed was comfortable, and the large patio down the hall was a pleasure to use (in the summer). The AC was certainly a plus in the heat of the day we were there, and the location was perfect. The kitchen facilities on the floor was definitely a plus if you don't want to go out all the time. And the staff was always friendly and helpful, even in recommending a more adequate room because we requested a quieter room and the one I booked was above the pub. It was a great experience for sure.
Cons: The lack of an elevator is a minor problem, but not a big deal. Even though we lucked out and got parking, the lack of parking facilities was initially a problem. Nothing else, really, everything else was okay.
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff was great! Even helped us carry our things up the first night. Very helpful and pleasant. Location was amazing. Historic exterior was neat. Quirky layout inside was cute.
Cons: There is NO elevator. Came with a young toddler and had to carry many things up the stairs. Insufficient parking spaces. Room amenities were limited - no microwave, fridge, coffee maker. There was a community kitchen within the building but with a toddler it didn’t meet our needs.
5,8 Okay
Cons: The dorm room on the first floor. Noise from the street below, people smoking... hardly got any sleep.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fun atmosphere and close to everything! Great food and amenities.
Cons: Would be nice to have more parking.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Check in issues. Some was in our room. Keys didn’t work. 30/45 minutes later after getting them out and cleaning the room etc we got in. Next day keys didn’t work yet again. New keys issued.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Facilities. Dog friendly.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The room is fantastic and beds are great but the FACT that they don't advertise the nightclub IS a problem. Nice bright modern decor, restaurant and coffee shop are also in the main floor. My low ratings are purely driven by the nightclub issue that they need to resolve or be honest about this up front. This place can surely do well without that component but you can't do both!
Cons: BEWARE! Main floor has a loud nightclub that thumps music and loud guests till 1AM!!! Right under your floor and window so forget sleeping before 1am or getting any fresh air as below the window is where the patrons come out to smoke! NOT a great choice for families with young ones unfortunately.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean rooms friendly staff excellent food in Definitely would give this hotel a 9/10
Cons: Beds are to hard no box spring mattress Is on wooden frame
7,0 Good
Pros: The front desk people are super, friendly and efficient
Cons: i dont think there is anything to improve except the rooms can be bigger

Pros: Mountain Hound provides terrific value for the cost. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pros: The room was clean and bright with modern beds and furniture
Cons: The motel looks old and the balcony had no privacy and the hotel has no elevator. The view does look out to the river but the river is hidden by trees and a road that runs in front of the property. I chose this hotel because the description and pictures show a view of the river
8,5 Excellent

Cons: Could not figure out how to turn the TV on and adjust the volume. A lot of stairs, as I walk with a cane, but did not mention this at the time of booking
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Was the best mattress of the 5 hotels we stayed at on or road trip! We took a picture of it so we could buy one for home :) Our AC wasn't working in the first room we were given and they quickly moved us and gave us a discount on our first night!
Cons: The bathroom could use updating as the rest of the room was newly renovated. Was clean and served its purpose tho.

Pros: Price
Cons: The old bathrooms and on the north side had to take a car everywhere clean
7,1 Good
Pros: Beds were comfy and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. The deck outside had a decent view. The price was worth the value.

Cons: Nothing
7,5 Good
Pros: It was a great location, close to town but not “in” town Just over the bridge, which was good for us as we were headed for ferry next morning. It was quiet, clean beds comfy.
